Overview
Walk in the footsteps of the ‘Sun King’ Louis XIV, Marie Antoinette, and other famous French royals on a tour of the extravagant Gardens of Versailles. Ride the train from Paris with included fare, and then stroll through the UNESCO-listed landscape while a guide shows you the most elaborate fountains and statues and shares tales of palace intrigue, elaborate court customs, and the sparks of revolution. If you like, visit the remarkable Palace of Versailles on your own after the tour.
What to Expect
Versailles is world famous for its awe-inspiring, extravagant palace and breathtakingly beautiful gardens. You will experience the excitement and wonder of cosmopolitan Paris on a journey back in time. Revel in the over-the-top decadence, harmonious open spaces, and luscious splendor of an intricately-landscaped paradise just a short ride from the capital.

Walk around and through these enchanted grounds and reveal the stories of the shamelessly self-indulgent kings, queens, and consorts of 17th and 18th century France. Unravel the glory of the Sun King, the stifling court etiquette, and the scandals that rocked the monarchy and ignited the Revolution. Hear the fantastic myths and legends behind the statues and fountains and explore the hidden corners you wouldn’t find on your own.

The tour operates at 9am on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Great tour with Alberto! He's nice and super knowledgeable. I think you don't even need to get inside the palace if you do a tour of the gardens. I learnt plenty of stuff about the french history and the way people were living during the...More

Uffda! Loved this tour!

Esteban was amazing! I would have never learned anything if I were to visit Versailles on my own. Loved the in depth explanations of the symbolism and history behind the gardens. Have fun in Minnesota Esteban!

Hi, We took the train direct from Paris, very reasonable price and very simple to understand. A pleasant 5-10 min walk from train station to gardens at most.
