    Informative Montmartre Walking Tour
We did the Montmartre walking tour starting at Moulin Rouge and ending at Sacre Couer. Our guide, Tomas, who lives in the area, provided great insight to the town along with some entertaining history! He gave us a whole list of restaurants and cafes to try and with one of the recommendations, we ended up at a wonderful little crêperie. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Your Parisian family for the day
Very good way to have a day organized around what you want to see without things of lesser interest. Audrey and Dominic were both informed and charming guides for us. Besides their narratives on the points of interest, they were a great source of conversation on many aspects of Parisian history and current events. I felt I had spent the hours with educated and interesting friends.

    Excellent Walking Tour
Our guide Rania was friendly and knowledgeable. We learned about many interesting aspects of Paris that we otherwise would not have known about (historic flooding, use of the Sienne in the past, etc.). She also took us for lunch at a local restaurant that served delicious and authentic french cuisine. We enjoyed walking to the west bank, learning how to tell which bank we were on by observing the currents of the Sienne. We also made a trip to the Eiffel tower at the end, ascending to the 2nd floor to snap some (touristy) pictures.

    Great tour
Great day for our first visit to Paris! Our day was full of great memories and photos. My family of six, including daughters ages 8 to 16 all enjoyed our tour and highly recommend this to anyone wanting to see Paris for the first time

A great way to navigate the marches!
Florian was fantastic! She gave us great information and helped us locate shops with items we were interested in. Definitely book this tour with Flor to start your shopping day. Take a break from shopping and have lunch at Au Roi du Cafe St Ouen. Amazing Croque Mousier et Madame!

    Disappointing
Guide was friendly and up beat. But we did little resembling the promise of the sales pitch. There was scant ‘anything’ not doable without guiding. Sorry to be disappointed but we were. Def not worth the $110 paid for the two of us. We’d advise going unguided first

    Loved every minute
Our walk started off rather rainy, but the weather cleared and I think the entire group loved our information packed walk. So many great things to see and hear about, I learned a lot about Montmartre, its history, residents and water fountains. Leonie is very passionate about her district and it shows. I can’t say enough good things about the experience - if you’re going to Paris, take a few hours to explore and learn from her! You will not regret it!

    Montmartre!
Leonie was our guide and she was absolutely lovely. Very knowledgeable, funny, and a great singing voice! She sang a bit of one of Dalida’s songs. We walked through Montmartre and finished at Sacre Coeur. Will recommend and I’d love to do another one. Thank you so much !

    Le Marais, le profond
Adrianne did an outstanding job in showing and explaining the Marais district to a small group of six, over more than two hours. And the fee was our choice! Plus an introduction to French history, in which this part of Paris participated so deeply.

    Great day in Paris!
Even though the weather was bad at times we had the best day with Ruben. He was very polite and showed us around his beautiful city. We’ve been to Paris before but I felt like we were seeing the city for the first time! He showed us so many cool places. We started in Montmarte. We loved it! It was more like a village and we loved the atmosphere. We hit all the major attractions. Be prepared to walk on this tour! By the time we were done and back to our hotel I had walked 30,000 steps. Wear good shoes! We stood in line to go to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower in the pouring rain. It was kind of miserable, but by the time we made it to the platform it stopped raining and we saw a beautiful rainbow. It was amazing! I did have to buy our tour guides ticket if we wanted him to go with us, so be prepared for that. Also buy your tickets early! We waited too long and couldn’t get any for the top of the Eiffel Tower. Although the 2nd floor was well worth it! The subway is pretty dirty and old compared to London. (We came to Paris from London on the Eurostar, just for the day) But we only used the subway a few times. One time we were packed in like sardines. If we didn’t have our tour guide with us it would’ve been stressful. But he knew what to do and where to go. The day just flew by! I would definitely book this tour again. It was well worth the money to have a private guide for the day. It was a strenuous day though and we were very tired the next day. Totally worth it! We’d do it again!

    Truly the perfect day!
First, let me tell you it’s worth the money for the private tour. You can customize where you want to go and don’t have to wear silly headsets to hear your guide. Adrian was amazing. He met us at our hotel, asked a bit about where we wanted to go. It was my first time in Paris so I just wanted to hit the big sites and then whatever else in between I was good with. Adrian chose the perfect route. Not only did he know where to go and what to show, he knew so much history it was amazing. My husband and I learned so much. He was funny, kind, and relatable. We walked over 15 miles in the day so make sure you have good shoes on. He also recommended a great place for lunch. Felt like a day spent with a friend.

    Professional Company
We booked 2 full days of private walking tours in Paris. The booking process was very smooth with quick and attentive service to customize the tours for our personal needs and requests. We had 2 separate guides on different days, Benjamin and Floriane. They arrived at our hotel to meet us on time. Both were lovely, very nice to spend the day with, knowledgeable and professional. We did have a bad experience on the second day that was not the fault of the company or the guide - an unfortunate incident in Paris on the Metro - the company handled this extremely well. They responded as quickly as possible and helped to resolve the problem. Any company can provide a good guide, what was most impressive was how the company handled both the booking and dealing with our incident on the 2nd day. I can highly recommend Discover Walks Paris.

Walking tour - Le Marais, Paris
This is without doubt the best tour I have ever been on. It held my attention from start to finish. Our engaging guide Stanislas filled the tour with so many fun & interesting facts. It very much exceeded my expectations. Thank you.

    Wonderful!
We had a lovely visit of Montmartre with our guide Helle and she was extremely friendly and informative on the details of the tour. We had great weather and were able to walk long distances in discovering the marvels of the area. Our only regret was that we lacked time to visit the interior of the Basilica de Sacré Coeur which would have been an extra bonus but it was our fault for booking the tour at the Eiffel Tour just a little too early so that we lacked the time to spend more time on the Montmartre tour. Helle took us to a wonderful restaurant for a great salad and really gave us a fantastic tour. She was so friendly and fun! Thanks Helle! Richard Pinder

Sophie was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and it’s history. Fun to talk to and learn from. There were plenty of brakes on the climb to Sacre Coeur so we never felt too tired to keep going. So many hidden gems on this tour and would highly recommend!

I visited Paris by myself and felt I was missing something. So I took the Metro to Montmartre and looked for the guide in the "pink vest." Followed her for 2 hours around Montmartre and very much enjoyed the experience. No need to sign up and prepay in advance, so it's great for a last-minute decision. You pay the guide whatever you want; 12 euros recommended; I gave her 20 euros because she was so much fun.

We are a Greek family of five and … not very fond of art or history. You will understand why I am saying this at the end of this review. This summer (2019) we decided to travel through Europe and see as many cities as possible within 11 days. One of our stops was Paris and we only had one day to spend there. Since we had visited the Eiffel tower 20 years back, we decided not to do it again, but instead to visit only the Montmartre for which we had heard so many nice things about. I did some web search and any guided tour I found was way too expensive, considering we were five persons. As I was looking through the web I saw the “Discover Walks”, read the wonderful reviews so we decided to go with it. To be absolutely honest, we expected a quite boring walk and tour in general, before we met François, our wonderful, extremely knowledgeable, funny and pleasant guide!! He spoke about the history of Paris and Montmartre in the very old days, the Left and Right Bank of Paris, poor and rich, he spoke about the artists of the era providing as many details as time allowed him, about the French revolution and how this affected history and events and so many other topics. He even told us where to eat and drink, the “tourist traps” we should avoid, the authentic cafes and restaurants we could visit to enjoy the best of Montmartre.

As we were walking through Montmartre, we could see many other guided tourist groups (not with “Discover Walks”) but none of those guides seemed to be as passionate and excited as François was!

I will say only two things and let you decide on your own. After the 2 plus hours walk, (it was supposed to be an hour and a half, but François did not mind answering questions and kept discussing with anyone in the group that felt like it), I googled almost all topics he had talked about (artists of the era, Saint Dennis, Montmartre rebellions, Sacré-Cœur, Dalida, etc., etc.) because he had managed to raise my interest (remember I am not an art or history fun) about everything he talked about. The last thing I need to mention is that after 11 days of traveling Europe and almost a city per day, the experience we had with François was one the most remembered ones! If we ever visit Paris again, we would definitely look for François to guide us again. Thank you Discover Walks and most of all, Thank you, François! You are one of a kind!!

We had a wonderful time with Arthur, he was very easy going. The only problem we had was that we were too many people because Arthur partner was sick and they didn't send a replacement so sometimes it has difficult to hear him, he was great, Thank you Arthur.

The tour was great! We did on the 9th of March at 5 pm and I think the name of our guide was Adèle (but I'm not sure anymore). She gave us a beautiful inside on what it meant being a Parisian in Montmartre: paying an enormous rent, drinking the bad wine of the vineyard, hoping your husband doesn't commit suicide and letting your customers pay with art (you never know who the new Picasso is). We really enjoyed, we were with 8 young students from Belgium and it was definitely the best we ALL have ever done. We loved her sarcastic humor and her young spirit.
