The lines were long and the tower very busy, however, the check in process could’ve been more smooth with the voucher check and if tickets were bought in advance. We waited an hour before we could climb. Our tour guide was trying her best to get us climbing as fast as she could because the lines were chaotic and that took away from the activity as she was not able give us much of a guided experience. I would not recommend this tour as it was ridiculously expensive - €30 extra for not much extra per person. Save yourself the trouble and money and book your own tickets online via the website and do the climb yourself.

Thanks for your feedback. It would be helpful if you could share the name of your guide so we can find out from them what happened. We strive to add value to the experience with an expert guide to lead the group. We are usually successful in this as you can see by our reviews. This is not the case for you and I would love to make it up to you with a free walking tour. I hope you will reach out to us about this and I thank you again for taking the time to give us feedback. I booked this tour at 2:30 pm for myself and my 2 children, it was to be the highlight of their trip.
At 10:24 am I received a phone call informing me that the time had been changed to 10:30 am and he would not be there at 2:30, he was going home.
The guide claimed their partner Get Your Guide had made the change but when I contacted them this was not the case, they confirmed my 2:30. When Get Your Guide tried to call there was no answer from Paris Tours 1.
I have not received a refund and I had to pay again at the ticket office so as not to disappoint my children. The price on entry was 22.50 for three of us compared to 44.89 per person I was charged for a non existent guide.

Thank you for this account of your experience with your booking. In fact we attempted many times to reach you with no success until that morning. The guide reported to me that he called back and offered you a private tour with you and your daughter but that you declined his offer and visited on your own. I understand that it was too late at that point but I want to be clear we were invested to try and make it up to you. We have submitted your full refund with no fee and want to extend our apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment. Your feedback is extremely helpful and we are improving all our methods to make sure we reach our valued guests.

What was definitely disappointing was the fact that we actually didn't have tickets nor reservations to get on Eiffel Tower premises even though we had paid in advance. The reason given was that First Experience doesn't know who will really show up. So the company doesn't want to pay for people that have actually paid. This meant we had to take the line "without tickets" although we had paid CHF 50 per person in advance. I would not book with First Experience again.

This guided tour is not worth it to pay 50 € per person:
- staff is unfriendly
- meeting point is difficult to find
- the information they tell you you can also read at the many information signs that are distributed on level 1 and 2.
It is more relaxed and cheaper to buy the ticket for the tower climb on the spot at arrival.
My Girlfriend and I did this tour in September 2021 and we found it was absolutely not worth it. The description of the meeting point was difficult to interpret, so we arrived 10 min. late to the meeting point. That was also the first thing for the staff member to tell us: "You are late!"
Than we had to catch up with the group that was already on its way to the 1 floor. There we catched up with them and joined the the group of listners, listenong the tour guide Monica. Everyone of the participants had a green sticker on theirs shirts.
Because we had bot gotten such stickers the guide asked us in an absolute unfriendly way why we were listening to her if we were not part of the group.
Well as I said: totally not worth it ...

Hi, I am truly disheartened to read this review, especially since it is so unlike most of our reviews. I would be very grateful to you for more details about what went wrong. What time did you arrive to the tower and where did you look for us? Do you remember who was the staff member that you checked in with? When you caught up to the group, how did you know it was Monica and was she aware that you were joining as one of her guests? We have thousands of 5 star reviews that speak to the high quality of our guides and our staff and I wish you had experienced this, rather that what you have described here. I am so sure that you could have a different view of us that I would like to offer you a free tour so I can prove to you why we deserve the high ratings we usually receive. Email me at Linda@exp1.com and I will personally take care of your reservation for a free tour. Safe travels, Linda

It was disaster, the tour operator are con. We met them at the meeting point with the other customers, and then they took us inside where they bought the tickets in front of us which is €20.40 for adults and €10.80 for children under 10. The operator bought the ticket and told us to carry on climbing the steps where she will meet us at 1st floor. On 1st floor she was no where to be seen so after 10 mins we carried on on 2nd floor and we couldn’t see her either.
This tour is an absolute ripoff avoid joining as they conned us by taking £168 for family of 4 where you can visit yourself buy the tickets at the tower for only €64 for family of 4.
Not recommended at all.

A lot has changed at the Eiffel Tower since we last visited 12 years ago. Lots more security & restrictions, queues are long and slow and you’re not allowed to freely walk under the tower whether you’re going up or not. This trip avoided some initial queuing but we still had to queue for security & tickets, despite them being pre-paid. Our guide was a nice chap & kept us updated along the way but his input on the history came all at once on level 1 & it went on forever & his English wasn’t great either. He then insisted on everyone in the party giving him positive feedback via their website there & then before we moved on to Level 2!!! - I paid him lip service & told him I’d done it. Level 2 was extremely crowded and it didn’t make it very pleasurable. We then we had the bad news that the summit was closed due to the volume of visitors, which I get, but, surely those who have pre-paid weeks before (& paid more than what visitors pay on the day) should get priority to climb to the summit over those that turn up on the day?….seemed very unfair. We did get a summit refund nonetheless but it doesn’t make up for the disappointment. Overall the Eiffel Tower is an incredible monument that amazes every time I visit but it isn’t managed very well at all & I don’t feel that the extra cost of this trip was worth the little queue jumping it saved us.

Thank you for your feedback. You have raised issues about things we cannot control and things we explain in our tour description. We advise about waiting in line, and summit closing mostly due to organization on the part of the Eiffel staff. We always hope for the best case scenario and cannot always control what happens. I would love it if you would share the name of your guide so I can at least find out from them what happened and maybe even help them to overcome some of these challenges for the future. Thank you again for your review.

We are so glad we did this tour. We almost canceled because the summit portion of the tour was canceled due to maintenance (we were refunded a portion of the cost). Thankfully we didn’t cancel because we ended up loving the climb to the second floor and our guide. Souhib, our guide was an incredibly entertaining, and full of interesting Eiffel Tower facts. We did this tour in the pouring rain and still loved it. This tour is a must do and hopefully your lucky and get Souhib as your guide. The ticket process at the base of the tower was easy and quick. We had two 11 year olds with us and they did fine. Souhib, made sure to check on everyone in his group and we never felt rushed.

Hate to leave bad reviews but I have to warn others. The tour was very disorganized. The reason we booked early in the morning was to beat the heat, that was a disaster and to be brutally honest, a waste of time. We ended up going into the Eiffel Tower tour at around 11:30am after waiting in line outside, and then again inside. The tour was scheduled for 10:15 I believe. I thought they would have bought our tickets prior to the tour day but nope, we had to wait in line to get the tickets. By the time we got the tickets we just left the tour and went on our own, as our tour guide was still trying to figure out other peoples tickets. It ended up being a great day but I really think going there early, by yourself is a better option. Our tour guide was awesome and nice but I just have to say that the disorganization was something we could have done without.

I am a little late with my review, I took this tour at the beginning of the month and was very fortunate to have Sara as our guide. She is very knowledgeable and funny, she made sure we learned about the history of the Eiffel Tower and the city of Paris. Make sure to visit the tower with Sara as your guide!

I love the idea of this tour. I thought it was going to be a more interactive informative climb. Yes, you climb at your own pace, but if you don't keep up, like my guide, yours my end up sharing information on the different platforms before the entire group had made it up the stairs. Therefore, ensuring quite a few people missed out on the information. This happened on both levels to multiple participants. Additionally, I didn't feel there was a need for the guide at all. Sure information was shared, but it was all information that was readily available at the Tower itself if you spent the time to walk around, read, and look. So for ~$40 you can pay a company to talk to you, or for ~$10 you can do it yourself. Not worth the extra money

Hi and thank you very much for sharing this feedback of your experience. I am deeply concerned that you did not experience a 5 star tour, as this is very unlike the thousands of our guests who have found our climb to be 5 stars. I would love to hear more if you would reach out to me directly and let me know who was your guide and any other details about your experience so I can continue to improve what we do. Further, if you are still in Paris, I will welcome you as a guest for one our walking tours as a thank you for your time and a chance to earn 5 stars from you : ) In any case I thank you again and I wish you safe travels, Linda (info@exp1.com)

I am taking a cruise and porting at La Havre for the day. Would you recommend this tour? Is there transportation available from my cruise port to the start of this tour? How long from start to finish for the tour? (I know it’s a 6 hour round trip from port to the Eiffel Tower)
Thank you
jplbvets
Estero, FL5 contributions
Agreed with the previous response above. The drive from the port to the tower is about 3hours (pending traffic). Traffic in Paris is a mess and you can be waiting in traffic for more than 1hour to cover a few miles. From the time you arrive at the tower (first thing in the morning before they open), it may take you a good 3 hours to get through security lines, up the escalators or elevators, lines, etc.
Regarding transport from the Port to the tower, there is no direct train but you do have options. Please go to rome2rio and type from and to locations - Port name and Eiffel tower. This site will give you all the information you need. Port-of-Le-Havre to Eiffel-Tower
I honestly think that it is quite a bit to do this; however, if you can leave the port at around 4 AM, be in Paris by 7 AM, get to the tower before the crows, do the tour yourself, buy the tickets ahead of time, get it done and take transport back to the port, you may be able. Hope this helps.

As far as I know they were available when we toured in July. Our tour happened on a Sunday Morning around sunrise - fantastic! If you have the opportunity to enjoy a special dinner at Le Jules Verne on Level 2, I would highly recommend it! Our special 40th wedding anniversary celebration was totally awesome!!!
We are looking at October 28 or 29. What I see shows tour only available in German. Is English an option for those dates?

It should be. There is at least one English tour a day around noon. Check TripAdvisor. I can’t imagine it is booked. You really don’t need a tour if the lines are not too long. The history is on the internet and once the climb starts the guides lose the group.
