Every year on July 14, Paris is aglow as the French celebrate Bastille Day. Known locally as ‘le quatorze juillet,’ this national holiday marks the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, which helped ignite the French Revolution. To begin your holiday cruise, make your way to the departure point near the base of the Eiffel Tower and climb aboard a luxurious Bateaux Parisiens riverboat.  Enjoy a welcome glass of Champagne and get comfortable at a table in the section chosen at booking. The dining room is enclosed by panoramic picture windows, giving you a fantastic view of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed riverbanks and waterside attractions. Admire illuminated monuments like the Parisian Statue of Liberty, the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay. An onboard band provides a festive soundtrack to your meal.  The boat will stop across from the iconic Trocadero that stretches out from the Eiffel Tower for a prime view of the evening’s grand finale. Watch the sky above Paris light up in a spectacular, 35-minute fireworks display as joyful crowds cheer from the riverbanks. After the show, the festivities continue with live music and dancing until late in the evening. Your 4-hour cruise concludes at midnight back at the original departure point.
