Overview

The Palace of Versailles is a legendary 17th-century royal residence, home to France’s extravagant monarchs until the French Revolution. On this exclusive guided tour, you skip past the crowds with your small group and enjoy exclusive access to the ornate 700-room complex—including the world-famous Hall of Mirrors—along with time to see the stunning gardens.

What to Expect

Enjoy VIP pick-up at your Paris hotel in a minivan for a short drive to the Palace of Versailles. Your guide takes you past the crowds to enter the palace with skip-the-line tickets.

Listen to the turbulent history of the great kings of France as you wander through the extravagant living quarters, including the ornate Hall of Mirrors, covered with wall-to-wall reflective glass and strung with crystal chandeliers.

Discover the secrets of Versailles in history-packed rooms such as the Salon of Peace and the Hall of Battles and get a front-row peek at the spectacular ceiling frescoes in the Hercules Salon.

You also have time to explore the grounds at your own pace, including the sprawling, landscaped royal gardens, with its seasonal Musical Fountains.

With an optional upgrade, you can visit the Grand Trianon, a miniature marble palace with its own aromatic gardens.

Tour ends with drop-off in Paris.

So much history and beauty, "it will blow you away". It also makes you realise why the people revolted when you appreciate what was spent to create this stunning Palace and grounds..so it is tinged with sadness to thing how poor their citizens were in...More

We were picked up at the hotel around 12:15pm. I don't remember exactly what time we were dropped off at the hotel, but I think it was around 6pm. We enjoyed the palace tour.
