The show is tremendous fun. Expect lines but they are orderly and almost all seats are good seats. 11pm show starts queuing at 10:30 and takes about an hour until everyone is seated. You can pre-arrange a taxi for 45 euros which might be worth it since you'll be getting out closer to 2 AM

Incredible visual spectacle. Several of the performers were Olympic caliber athletes. They displayed feats of strength with amazing grace and ease. My favorite part was the woman swimming in a clear tank filled with snakes. This show has been going strong for 130 years. This is a must do in Paris.

Note: men must wear trousers or they will make you purchase a used pair for 65 euro. At least we have a funny story to tell now ;)

The night starts with a 15 minute wait in a pretty long queue, but everything is inside and the wait doesnt feel very long. The hall itself looks amazing: very nice ambiance, dim lighting and good atmosphere. We had dinner, and the food was pretty good: the main advantage was getting there ealier, because people with dinner usually get seats closer to the stage. We ate our dinner with live music playing in the backround, and this part of the experience was overall pretty good. The people with a ticket without dinner made their way in right before the show started. Moving on, the show is what you pay for: it was simply AMAZING! The dancers were perfectly in sync, the stage was amazing (and with so many different back drops and decor), and the costumed were jaw-dropping. The show features quite alot of topless women, which is something you should know before going. So many plot twists, so many amazing costumes, and catchy songs. Overall, I’d say this is the best show I have ever seen. I would highly recommend, this was by far the best thing we saw in Paris. Unforgetable night.

I have deliberately waited a month to write my review as I wanted to see how I felt after time!

The positives! It's a bucket list thing for me to see a show at the Moulin Rouge so from that perspective I am happy I did it and really enjoyed the overall experience. The acrobatic acts were excellent and I loved seeing the cancan. The costumes were spectacular for the most part and the overall effects of some dances were brilliant. The individual sitting and idea of being on the tables as you would've been years ago was great, mostly.....

The negatives! You are really packed in, back to back and right next door to your neighbour. We were a two and our table was for 6, luckily another couple only was sat with us or it would've been unbearable. My seat backed the stage so I had to work in unison with the man behind me to turn my chair so I could see, that's how tight it was. If there was an emergency it would be incredibly difficult to get out safely from many parts of the show. We did have a good view. Some acts were just weird, two flying singers, a woman wrestling a snake in a pool and and an ill advised Asia themed dance and set. The singers were lip syncing and that was so obvious, the dancing was good but some were not great. You just expect live singing and a bit more complex dancing.

Overall it was a good night but it was expensive and I would say there are better shows out there, it needs updating and given some more life and it needs to be genuinely live performed. I'm glad I went, I'd say definitely go and experience it but don't expect your socks to be blown off.

TLDR: Your money is better spent elsewhere. The show could use some work. *Some spoilers below*

As a lover of the 2001 film, I was excited to see the origin of the Can-Can dance and Parisian entertainment. We were sadly left confused and baffled at the end of the night.

We were a group of 3 friends total who had purchased tickets online for the show + champagne weeks before. We arrived when they requested and waited in a long line to enter. We were finally escorted to a tiny table (6-top) in the back center, across from a couple with their teenage son. We were confused as we thought we would have our own table and could barely squeeze in between the other table that was crammed next to ours. When the waiter came over, one in our group swapped their champ for wine and the additional waitress that came over struggled to open the bottle, citing it was her first night on the job.

The show began and the elegant dancers emerged. The female dancers were all on point, but the male dancers were not as on point from the get go, and seemed like they could have used a few additional rehearsals.

The performers in between (roller bladers, acrobats, swimmer, dancers) were amazing and a true spectacle! However, the storyline overall was lacking and it felt outdated at times (I recall a weird jump from an Asian country to a 1940's jukebox). Could have dealt with less costume changes as well, but most were beautiful.

I know times are tough and they probably increased the ticket cost to stay open/pay staff accordingly, but I couldn't help but feel like we had wasted our money at times. And the Can-Can didn't even end the show... leaving two stars for the dancers and performers that delivered that night!

All in all, and without too much shade, you are better off spending that same money on a proper Cirque du Soleil show or elsewhere. Hope they can sharpen up the show for future iterations!

For the best in France, I was expecting a much better show. Being seated was okay, they were to get our complimentary champagne but some how forgot. We asked the server half way through the show, to which he brought but then wanted us to pay 90 euros. After explaining this, and a lot of fact checking they reluctantly gave us our included champagne. Now the show itself, I was expecting it to be great considering the reviews but The dancers were out of time to each other, sometimes even heading in the opposite direction to where they were meant to dance.
Disappointing, but still glad I went. Price is extremely overpriced.

If you want covid then this is the place to go!

€250 to go to this show to be cramped in a theatre with 100’s of people. We were sat in the middle of our section with two others on our table. To the back of us were four others on either side. We couldn’t even rest back on our chair they were that close. Zero social distancing. There’s a reason why they don’t let you choose your seat as if you saw the seating plan before you went you wouldn’t go.

Ok show but not worth the risk of covid.

I can explain how disappointing this experience was tonight. The dancing was very poor, uncoordinated and the show was literally partially naked women walking around the stage. The only thing that made us not leave mid performance were the acrobatic performances (3 in total), however this is not worth the high ticket price for no singing (they barely put an effort to show its playback), no dancing and just nudity.
I thought this would be a cabaret show and true to the moulin rouge history however this is ver very poor. I would not advise this at all! Save your money for other parisien experiences

We couldn’t go due to France not allowing British tourists in the country and even though on the get your guide website said free cancellation up to 24 hours before. We were told no refund would be given which is false advertising. If it isn’t free cancellation this need to be removed from the website

My daughter, 9, loves all things singing and dancing so I tried to book tickets before our trip but understandably it was booked out. Lou, in customer services advised to check each morning at 10 and 4 pm for cancellations. I did last evening and was able to secure a last minute booking! We arrived early for 9 pm show, no queuing. We got our own table at the back up a small set of steps with a good view of the stage. My girls were mesmerised by the dancers, the crystals, the feathers, the lights! Not only were there dancers - there were strong men, skaters, snakes, aerial scene across the crowd. For me the best part was seeing how excited my children were. My 6 yr old daughter fell asleep towards the end (to be fair it was a long night for her). It definitely was a core memory for my eldest. And my husband and I enjoyed it too. I deducted one point as it is expensive but I’m glad we went.
