- wearetheharrys0 contributionsParis highlight! What a way to spend a great evening in Paris! this was a highlight of our trip. Our guide Fabian was fantastic, personable, knowledgeable about any question & genuinely interested in answering, and at all times made sure everyone felt safe, was safe and comfortable. It poured rain at times but he kept it entertaining and some of us were laughing at the end. Bikes were maintained and process easy and organised once arrived. 10/10Written October 7, 2024
- Bobby D0 contributionsBest Emily in Paris tour!!!Charlene is an amazing tour guide. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day in Paris. All the stops were wonderful, Charlene went into great detail about each building and her knowledge of the show was fantastic. We had the best time, highly recommend 👌Written October 7, 2024

- DayTrip174741098980 contributionsFun, safe, efficientThoroughly enjoyed this bike tour of Paris. Liked it so much I did another one in Barcelona with the same company and received a 10percent discount that they offer for returning traveller's. Our guide Molly was very knowledgeable and passionate about the city and landmarks. She guided us calmly and efficiently through the bustling streets. I felt safe the whole time, I was nervous to ride on the streets because the traffic is so busy, but needn't have worried because it was actually a breeze and we had some specific instructions about how to ride in formations that made it easy and stress free. Super fun. Also a great way to see lots of places in a few hours without having to walk, my sore traveller feet thanked me for it. Can recommend 👌Written October 5, 2024
- JulieJ5130 contributionsParis at night! It was a great way to see Paris at night. We biked to the sights, then hopped on the boat for an hour, and then biked to the Eiffel Tower in time for the hourly “sparkle”. Toby was a great, fun guide that took awesome care of us, including bringing drinks in the boat ride for all of us. It was a lovely evening!Written October 5, 2024
- JulieJ5130 contributionsFun way to see Versilles! The day started off with meeting our guide, Martin, in Paris, and the group taking the trail to Versailles. We picked out lunch at the local market and grabbed bikes. Then we biked around the Versailles grounds, stopping to eat our picnic, and then touring the Chateau and other buildings. It was fun, and we never could have seen that all on foot. Our guide, Martin, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a fun day!Written October 5, 2024
- gjones45700 contributionsEasy way to get an introduction to Paris.Very enjoyable way to see some of the highlights of Paris. Our guide Tony was fantastic - entertaining, informative and safety conscious. In fact all the staff at Fat Tire were very helpful. It would be helpful if participants were issued with a radio receiver similar to those used by museum guides as at times the group gets spread out and as the leader has to be at the front, those at the tail end can't hear the guide. Highly recommend this tour.Written October 4, 2024
- Paradise8180180 contributionsA great way to acquaint yourself with ParisDespite the rain hampering the end of our tour, our guide Andrea made the evening very memorable! We had a great group to cycle around Paris in and loved getting to hear about some of the bigger sites in more detail. Getting to see the city at night was definitely a highlight!Written September 30, 2024
- fionapM44TJ0 contributionsFun way to explore Paris and learn some interesting facts, affordable, Easy Biking making it easy to cover ground.Amir was fantastic. This was really worthwhile, you get a real understanding of the actual things you are seeing. Amir has a definite ability to make the history and facts very interesting and enough but not too much, also lots of interaction with the group. The instructions for the bike ride are so clear, and the bikes very nice to ride, with names for ease of identification and also very cute. This is really the best way to take in the main sites of Paris, and I would highly recommend choosing Amir if you can because of his fun, clear instructions on bike, and informative narrative. The organisation was excellent, and bikes very easy to use.Written September 29, 2024
- lynnz7940 contributionsOutstanding!Charlene was great! If you love the show then you’ll enjoy spending time with Charlene walking to many of the key locations. She knows that series! She was more than willing to take photos of all of us so we had better shots than just selfies! She also gave us a snapshot of what it’s like to move to Paris and experience real life there. She engaged all of us so we felt like we made new friends by the end of the tour! I’d highly recommend this tour and hope you get Charlene as your guide.Written September 29, 2024

- kidcarrot0 contributionsHighly recommendedReally worthwhile way to view Versaille, putting the emphasis on being outdoors. Our weather was poor, but Dave our guide did an outstanding job maintaining our group's morale etc and still managing to pull off a picnic lunch with things we'd bought at the excellent local markets. The itinerary is good because you experience a lot of things. The bike's were solid and in good condition. Could not speak of Dave highly enough.Written September 26, 2024
- P407QSbobp0 contributionsEiffel tour - be forewarned about increased securityWhile our guide Fabian was great, disappointed we didn't get to go to the summit due to needing to get back to tour office before it closed. We were not forewarned about the overly strict access restrictions at the tower before arrival, so we had to leave items in the office. If we had known, we would have planned accordingly. So we had to waste the extra money we paid for summit access.Written September 25, 2024
- laurauK79OX0 contributionsInformative, cute and fun! This was a great tour! Charlene was our guide, she was very informed of the city, of course the show and explained her overall experience since living in Paris which was really cool to hear as well coming from the US too! We saw all of the spots from season 1, got to take pictures at the stops, and I highly recommend checking it out as a fan of the show.Written September 24, 2024

I wanted to love this tour and kept looking for opportunities for it to improve, but it was incredibly disappointing. My group were four out of the 11 people on the tour. It was a very hot day in Paris, and the guide immediately told us that he would try to stop in shady spots, which he did at times. The problem was that our guide was walking so quickly that two of the 11 people either dipped out of the tour or got lost in the mass of pedestrians before the second stop. I struggled to keep up, but it wasn’t just me. There was another couple that was having an even tougher time. Half of the group even found ourselves lost in the crowd and walking in the wrong direction because the guide wasn’t paying attention to the back of the group. Thankfully, he doubled-back and found us, but that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Our guide did provide some good information, but the stops were way too short (and not enough commentary provided) considering the amount of time that we spent lumbering from one stop to the next. There were available benches where people could sit and listen, but the guide weirdly stood and talked just out of earshot after we had been walking in the heat for an hour. I get it; it’s a walking tour, but you have to adjust for the group. It looked like the only people who enjoyed the tour were the two people in the front. Also, the guide kept talking while walking, so most of us couldn’t even hear what he was saying. Fat Tire should consider restructuring this tour as a 2.5 hour tour and training the guides better to adjust for the group.

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience and letting us know how we might improve this tour! We're sorry to hear it was disappointing and that the guide wasn't adjusting to the group to make it more enjoyable with the crowds and heat. We'll be following up with them and our team here to make sure that is addressed moving forward.
We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Paris and can join us on tour another time!
Best,

I learned some new things, the guide was pleasant. There were only a handful of stops on the tour and no difficult walking. Started near Les Invalides and ended in the Latin Quarter. Guide warned that the tour woukd not be chronological, which I understand, given the geography of Paris and the breadth of the subject. But I wish almost all history tours would start with a solid grounding of background, influences on the events and a timeline. My friend enjoyed the tour more than I did, and i think the other seven people enjoyed it a lot as well. I would rate it as good, not great. The greek tour guides English was quite good, amd she was entusiastic.

Nick was exceptional! For a subject matter of history he even had the teenagers interested. Fascinating hearing the history in places it took place. Nick was a fabulous story teller, can not recommend enough. A good tour guide can make or break a tour (especially a walking one) and Nick was amazing. Thank you!

Nick was an absolutely amazing tour guide. He gave a great broad overview of the Revolution but also went into specific detail when asked. Would recommend this to everyone regardless of their knowledge on the Revolution.

Took this walking tour the first afternoon in Paris. Very informative and enjoyable. OJ, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and personable. He really knew the history and geography of the Revolution. He answered my questions about the Girondins and Montagnards and was full of historical information. Plus, I got an overview of the area around the Louvre and Seine. We ended up at the Cafe Procope in the 6th Arrondisment. Really a great tour. And just another note, this was not too strenuous. I am an older person, but it was well within my pace. Merci!!

We are history lovers as a family and it was very disappointing to walk and walk and hear nothing particularly interesting that is not in a textbook from our guide Sonya. She was more of a person interested as well, but with no exceptional details or in depth explanations of the causes, processes and main figureheads of the revolution. Sorry but maybe if we had the other guide it would have been the same success told by in other reviews.

It was only a 2-3 hour tour but Jerome took us a our own pace and made every site more interesting that ever before. He explained the history of the Eiffel Tower and other buildings, like pointing out and explaining the bullet holes in the building where the French held out during invasion by the Germans. Little things he explained made the tour SO worth it.

We have had many guided tours and this one was the worst tour ever. First of all the guide did not have proper English to do this job. She have a very monotonous voice that was very hard to follow. It was like a child telling a story all broken up. Secondly this was not a tour! This was a like a boring class that you had to do tons of walking not to anywhere in particular. Just walking and stopping for more lecture. No sites except the Borboun Palace was visited. Please do yourself a favor and skip this one! I regret spending the time I am not even worried about the money. Waste of time!!!

At first, I was a little daunted about meeting in a park by a metro. But once studying the meeting instructions & looking it up on Google Earth, it was a piece of cake. The tour guide Danielle was very knowledgeable, entertaining & easy to understand. It was very hot & Danielle made sure we stopped in shady areas when she paused to tell us stories. There is a lot of walking on cobble roads & dirt, so wear comfy shoes. History really comes to life on this tour! You would never know the stories of these places if you just walked on your own. I would definitely recommend Fat Tire Tours for walking tours in Paris!
