An amazing Palace, Spectacular Gardens and an excellent guide let down by overcrowding and dire service.
It was appallingly unseasonal weather of 17C with wind driven drizzle when we went. Our guide was fabulous and her knowledge of Versailles was outstanding. Unfortunately her microphone was often distorted in our headphones which made it difficult to understand her sometimes. The venue was very overcrowded making appreciating the amazingly beautiful palace and even moving, difficult. The gardens are totally beyond belief but the weather was a bit too extreme to explore them in depth which was just bad luck. So we retired to the “restaurant” were we found the most appalling food I think I have ever consumed in France and staff who had zero interest in serving customers other than taking their money. It was a wonder to see with my own eyes but I’m sure I would have a much better experience watching a documentary on Versailles on YouTube or the History Channel from the comfort of my own home!

A must do visit in Paris
Amazing Palace and gardens. Guide was very informative, knowledgeable and attentive. Only criticism of this trip was locating the return bus to Paris in the coach park.

    Tricked out of a refund!
Decided to cancel my tour after reading several reviews about the overcrowding, giving 30 days prior notice to the cancellation email address listed on the palace website. Sent two follow up emails seeking a response during the next week, and received nothing until 20 days before my visit date, only to be told the email address I had written to was for leisure clubs only (a fact that was not explicit on the web site), and that I had to write to another email address. This second email address was not supplied on the palace website. When I wrote to the new email address I was told I had not given the required 20 days notice, and I would not be refunded. Despite providing screenshots of the email address from their website that I had been instructed to use, and copies of my original emails evidencing I had contacted them in advance of the 20 day cutoff, the palace did not budge and refused to refund my tickets. It feels like I was scammed after following the instructions on the palace website in good faith, and was really disappointed with their total lack of empathy and help. Warning to those willing to risk the crowds, don’t expect a refund if your change your mind.

    Deceiving dinner
Booked a dinner cruise with 5 people. Once we got to the boat they made us pay 15 euros more each to sit together! According to the hostess it was impossible since they were completely booked! Until we agreed to pay the additional fee. Once the boat sailed there was about 10 tables empty! So they lied to us to get more money from us. We had already paid 150 each for the dinner. Server not friendly at all! Plus boat was not the one from the picture! Picture looks more fancy than what we got! Stay away from this company!

    Smooth sailing
The only problem we had was finding the correct dock, several people and the phone app got us there in time, however bigger or better signs would help. So better to leave in good time. The boat and staff were great, wonderful smooth ride past many wonderful places ( yes a few words to explain where might be nice ….but this is difficult with many languages spoken on board so understand and it was peaceful as it was…..now the food, we all felt it was excellent and well presented. The photo guy was very nice and not pushy…good job all round.

    Skip the inside
If you want to explore the gardens more and have limited time I would skip this tour. Or better ask your tour guide to give your garden tickets right away. We barely had time to see the outside cos our bus schedule. We could also not understand our tour guide. The bus was comfortable but communication was poor and the whole tour was unorganized. I booked a lot of trips for our vacation but sadly this one was the worst. The garden was really beautiful but like I said had no time to see everything. If ever we go back, we will go there by ourselves and spend the whole day. Make sure to bring water and use the restroom prior to starting your tour.

A perfect evening on the Seine
This was the best river boat tour I have been on. The space was charming and intimate, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Perfect views of Paris with lovely live music. I'm glad we booked the later cruise and saw the Eiffel Tower lit up.

Book directly with Moulin Rouge site
The actual show the Moulin Rouge was absolutely fabulous- but I would suggest booking directly with the moulin rouge site. We booked expecting a cruise prior to the show, we arrive as suggested the 30 mins prior to our departure time. The guide was an hour and a half late, we were waiting in the rain, when he did arrive he said there was no cruise but here were some ticket for tomorrow (if you see the packed boats that look like cattle trucks - this is the cruise). The guide then said instead we had extra special VIP tickets to the show. We were not the only ones in shock other people attending had the same expectation as us. When we got to moulin rouge - by bus not cruise-our seats were way up the back on not a good view of the stage. There was meant to be transport back to your hotel/centre of Paris- the guide really discourage this, saying they would leave immediately after the show. The show was amazing! My suggestion would be book directly, get a cab to moulin rouge as we paid a premium for the privilege of getting a bus for a meeting point miles from our hotel.

    Versailles Palace and Monet House
Most excellent tour guide, Cami. Easy transportation, enjoyable lunch. Was crowded at destinations with little no air flow. Dress in layers and bring your own water bottle.

    Versailles- a must see!
The palace and gardens are exquisite! I’ve been wanting to come here for years and I’m so glad I did. I just wish I had more time. Next time, we are going to skip a tour and just go. You only get an hour to explore the grounds which is not enough time. We got to the grounds at 4 pm, they close at 530. We didn’t see them until it was too late, but there are golf cart rentals! I would definitely rent one! You can also rent a row boat. I wouldn’t advise that unless you have lots of time!

    Fun and informative
We didn’t pan anything. This was last minute. I had my reservations about a large tour group, but all and all we loved it! It was an amazing experience. Will definitely recommend for friends or anyone wanting to get outside the city and see some amazing architecture and history!

We booked our Paris in One Day Tour in advance and we were sent our confirmation email with all of our instructions on when to arrive and check in. My wife and I arrived at the designated spot early to check in and were told that in spite of us having a valid confirmation that the company must have forgotten to send the confirmation to them.

They acknowledged that we had the confirmation email and that it was correct but since they did not have us in their system that there was nothing they could do and that they had no more slots to fit us into.

This was the crux of our trip! We flew to Paris for a long weekend to see Paris and we were left high and dry. We weren't given any help except to contact viatour and their website - no number and no customer service. Just left to fend for ourselves in a foreign country.

After FINALLY finding a number I was basically told that they would investigate and get back to me. I am STILL waiting on a response.

I would REALLY consider twice before booking this. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with tripadvisor for their lack of help and the same with Viator.

We booked our Paris In One Day tour a month in advance. They charged our credit card and emailed us our vouches. We arrived 30 minutes prior like they requested only to find out they over booked the tour, and there wasn't room for our reservations. Absolutely absurd!! This was also on our last day in Paris. What a horrible company. Never received an apologize from Pariscityvision. Please don't bother to waste your time or money. We did and are very disappointed in the experience. We won't be recomending to anyone.

This is our fourth stay in Paris. We have never taken a tour. That seems like a waste of both time and money to me. We do the hop-on-hop-off buses and boats and get off wherever we desire...the Louvre. the Eiffel Tower, Arch de Triomphe, Trocadero, and the list goes on. There are audios at the museums, etc. There are many more hop-on-hop-off companies this time, April 28, 2018 then our last trip in 2016. Yesterday we did a great boat tour on the Seine. Today we went on one of the new bus tours and saw things we have never seen before on the green and blue lines and they also have a red and yellow line. It was amazing and stopped well within walking distance of all the major sites.

To start with the one positive is that our tour guide was very nice and her brief tour of the Louvre was good. After that I would never recommend this tour to anyone. We did not get to go up in the Eiffel Tower, we did not get lunch in the Eiffel Tower, we did not get our boat cruise (although there were plenty of boats cruising on the river), we did not get to see Notre Dame. What we did get was a lot of standing around, terrible lunch with horrible service and long bus rides and waiting times with nothing to do but sit. Understanding some of this was out of control of the tour company they still could have made efforts to better reach out or even refund for not delivering 90% of the trip itinerary.

My wife and I just concluded this tour. It was slightly condensed but had some great views and information from the guide. You do an activity and then board a boat to get to the next. Ample time was allotted at each location in my opinion and only the highlights were hit at the Louvre which is ok because that place was extremely packed. Overall great experience though.

As you say it is a condensed tour, but we do our best ot make sure you have enough time at each location. Did you enjoy the meal at the Eiffel Tower ? Best Regards, Alexia

I think it would be nearly impossible to find a better value than this tour. We comfortably managed to see The Mona Lisa, The Vénus de Milo, the Norte Dame Cathedral and even ate lunch on the Eiffel Tower. An incredible day and tour especially if you have limited time in Paris.

We got everything out of this experience that it said however I would likely not do it again. The museum felt very rushed and I didn't feel like i got to see everything. The lunch on the Eiffel tower was a great sight, not the best food, but fun to say we did it. The group was very large for my taste so it made it hard to ask questions and get the most out of it.
