Itinerary
Leave Paris for a full-day tour of two of the most popular day trip destinations outside the French capital, Louis XIV's Palace of Versailles and Monet's garden in Giverny.

Begin with a visit to Giverny, where Impressionist master Claude Monet lived from 1883 until his death in 1926. The gardens that surround his former home were the inspiration for many of his most famous scenes, including the water lily pond he captured in the Nympheas series and the gentle arch of the Japanese bridge over that pond. Tour Monet's gardens, as many artists have, and see if you don't leave inspired.

After Giverny, take a midday break for lunch at the Moulin de Fourges, an 18th-century mill on the Epte River outside Giverny that's been transformed into a restaurant and inn. From there, continue your tour to Versailles.

The opulent Palace of Versailles was once the home of King Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette. On a tour of their extravagant apartments, try to imagine daily life for the royal family. Walk through the famous Hall of Mirrors, the Grand Apartments, and the Queen's Apartments as your guide helps bring history to life.

Enjoy some free time to wander through the expansive gardens behind the palace at Versailles before your day trip concludes and you travel back to Paris.

Versailles Fountain Show Special Program:
The fountains in the Versailles gardens are part of a special display set to the music of Louis XIV's era on Saturdays and Sundays from April 2-October 30, on May 5, Tuesdays from May 24-June 28 and July 14. Entry fees to this special program are included in the cost of the day tour.

Two fantastic adventures in one day

We took the option of a small tour, and we pleased we did. Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us just the amount of information we could assimilate at a time. Versailles, of course, is spectacular, but the Gardens are lovely also. The next day...More

Go to Giverny skip Versailles

Versailles is overrated and there is just too many people. The gardens aren't that great and the palace tour is too crowded with not much to see. Giverny is a must for Monet fans

High Expectations; Disappointed

My wife and I had very high expectations of the visit to Versailles but quite disappointed really. We have been wanting to visit for many years. We followed recommendations on tripadvisor and purchased tickets beforehand since, as pointed out, it is very busy on a...More

poor scheduling

Did a one day Giverny/Versailles trip with ParisCityVision. Our tour guides Crystal and Pedro were great. They were knowledgeable, entertaining, and concerned about our experience. The tour itself was poorly planned. The bus left late. We arrived in Giverny at the same time as about...More

Do not miss Giverney...

We recently did this tour and had a great time. The tour guide, Vincent, was funny and helpful and gave us considerable time on our own to explore both Giverney and Versailles gardens. However, fitting in both sights does result in some rushing. It's difficult...More

Hi. Your question should be directed to ParisCityVision. I doubt that they will reduce the price for you. Your Paris Pass only entitles you to entrance to Versailles but not the gardens
