About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- jeffi2890 contributionsTop notch Seine river dinner cruiseYes, it's more expensive than other dinner cruises, but you really do get what you pay for. All tables are window seats, there are maybe 20 tables on the boat, the live music is a nice subtle touch, and the food is actual French cuisine that isn't prepared in microwave. If you want to splurge on a romantic evening in Paris, this is a great option with wonderful service.Written March 16, 2025

- gmU7307RI0 contributionsA must seeThe bus was very modern and comfortable even though it was full. The journey of 4.5 hours was smooth with just one stop. The access to the site was easy and our tour guide Alex was amazing. She had fantastic knowledge of the history and architecture and moved at the perfect pace also leaving us time to explore after.Written March 4, 2025
- Hayley P0 contributionsNo response received to complaint made in October 2024!I booked this tour on the 23rd of August and I wish to make a complaint about my overall dissatisfaction with the experience. Unfortunately I have been in hospital the past month so this is the first opportunity I’ve had to contact you. The show itself was great and the champagne was lovely so I’m happy to pay for those, I worked out the estimated cost to be about £112.00. But as for the £175.00 that I paid, this was to include a night lights tour, well of course I understand it’s not your company’s fault that the bus had to take a different route due to the preparation for Paralympics however that should have been made absolutely clear at point of sale. The bus tour was an absolute shambles! It pretty much went round and round the same couple of roads and I had to put up with customers arguing loudly with the tour rep and with the tour rep arguing loudly with them back! I can understand why so many customers were complaining as they were being told that plans for drop off had changed. So it wasn’t exactly relaxing or informative, it just went round and couple of streets and I had to listen to arguing the whole time which was quite unprofessional. However my main issue was that I specifically booked this tour because I’m a solo female traveller and so having this advertised as transport back to near my hotel in Montparnasse seemed ideal. On the night though, the tour rep informed me it wouldn’t be possible to drop me off near my hotel, I said please what am I supposed to do, it’s not safe for me to be left stranded. The tour rep then showed me on a map where it was possible to drop me off and it was about a 15 minute walk from my hotel which by his own admission, would not be safe for a female to walk around in at 2/3am in the morning! He said well it’s either that or you can take a Metro from Pigalle station… I’ve since read some horror stories online of how unsafe this Metro station can be and all I can say is I am so relieved that I didn’t end up doing this. I ended up ordering an Uber at the cost of £12.73 to myself, I’ve enclosed my card statement to show this. This is absolutely unacceptable that I had to do this, considering the tour was advertised as return transport included! I actually ended up spending the duration of the show feeling really worried as to how I was going to get back so it ruined my enjoyment of it, it was a very distressing experience. As you can see on my card statement I paid £175.80 for the tour. I’m not happy with this and I could have just claimed the full amount back from my credit card company but I wanted to give your company the opportunity to resolve my complaint. How do you propose to resolve this? At the very least, I would like you to pay me back £63.00 as I’ve worked out the different between the show and the so-called bus tour and transport. Additionally, please pay me £12.73 to cover the cost of the Uber I had to use.Written February 26, 2025

- Y1525XNdebbiem0 contributionsEvening at the Moulin Rouge with champagneI was very disappointed with our seat location. The views were restricted and for the cost of the tickets, I would have hoped for better seating. - charliewL2234WI0 contributionsDisappointing as overpriced and under deliveredWe recently took the boat tour that promised "Cozy ambiance with our musical duo live" and spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. While the views were indeed stunning, especially as the boat slowed by the sparkling Eiffel Tower, the overall experience fell short of what was promised, especially given the high cost. Confusing Boarding Information: The tour provided two different addresses for the boarding point, which led to some initial confusion. Upon arrival, the check-in process felt disorganized as passengers were assigned to one of four boats, not all of which were as pictured in the promotional photos. Misleading Advertisement on Entertainment: Instead of the live musical duo advertised, we were met with recorded music played over speakers. This was a far cry from the "cozy ambiance" we were expecting and felt like a case of false advertising. Uncomfortable Seating Arrangement: Despite paying extra for window seating, we found the tables crammed together, restricting the ability to sit comfortably opposite each other. This seemed unfair, particularly when other guests who paid less enjoyed better seating arrangements. Service and Amenities: The service was slow, with long waits for our champagne and water. Furthermore, the advertisement noted that window seating included "an extra glass of Champagne," which we never received. Quality of Food: While some dishes were fine, one of the main courses was bland and disappointing. Considering the price paid, every dish should have been exceptional. No live music: no live music, just tracks played through the speakers. The music was part of why we booked the trip rather than going with different companies. The atmosphere on board was clearly not what many had expected, as other couples complained and shuffled for better seats. This added to a feeling of general unhappiness among passengers. The misrepresentations in the service make it hard to justify the expense of £256.39. The tour did not deliver on several of its key advertised features, and we were left feeling misled.Written February 19, 2025
- CountryDoctor_90 contributionsDo not use Paris City Vision, unless you enjoy being ditched in a foreign city that you do not speak the language. The worst experience ever. Here are the problems, one after another: 1. They made a mistake in our returning time. They put us on a 2:30pm return bus even though I booked extended day. They acknowledged the mistake , and said we are on the 5:50pm bus. It was confirmed in writing. 2. When we returned to the pick up points, at 5:45pm, I saw the bus just drove away from us. We were a bit concerned about making it in time as there were delays on our train back, which I asked of they could just for for us a bit. No guarantee was given but at least we made it back on time! 3. They refuse to make any alternative arrangement to take us home. Simply asked us to take a local train. Left us in the freezing cold outside the palace 4. I demanded a refund to at least cover a trip back with uber. But they only offered €15pp which I didn't accept. But they closed the case unilaterally, and I'm not allowed to leave any negative reviews on viator (the agent I booked through). I wasn't alone. There were 2 other couples being ditched as well. 6 of us in total. Both of them don't speak good English (one couple from Japan, another from Brazil) so they struggled to contact Paris City Vision. Many of us paid the money to join the tour is because we are not comfortable taking trains or busses in a foreign country that we do not speak the language. As a tour operator in the hospitality industry, is to ensure you look after your tourist. Not to mention we were on time, even if we were late, there needs to be some form of trying to contact us and wait for us, before you just took off. In this case, took off early without making sure everyone is accounted for. (Which I suspect the driver just wanted to go home and finish the day early. Very unprofessional and irresponsible). Be warned, do not join any tour operate by this company, unless you enjoy being left alone in the freezing cold outside Versailles Palace and take a train home. If Paris City Vision management is reading this, please respond and I'm open to your response regarding this matter. I have also attached the screenshots of the Whatsapp conversations with time indicated as proof that they clearly stated it was 5:50pm pick up, and we made it before 5:50pm, and their lack of attempt to get us home other them asking us to take a trainWritten February 18, 2025
- Crash48950 contributionsEiffel Tower Access, Seine Dinner Cruise, and Moulin Rouge ShowThe Eiffel Tower Access, Seine Dinner Cruise, and Moulin Rouge Show was an unforgettable, magical Parisian experience from start to finish. Skipping the lines at the Eiffel Tower allowed us to soak in breathtaking city views without the hassle. The Seine dinner cruise was pure enchantment—gliding past illuminated landmarks while enjoying exquisite French cuisine created the perfect romantic atmosphere. The grand finale at the Moulin Rouge was absolutely spectacular—dazzling costumes, incredible performances, and a vibrant energy that left us spellbound. Every detail was seamlessly coordinated, making the entire evening stress-free and utterly delightful. A must-do experience for anyone wanting to embrace the elegance and excitement of Paris in one unforgettable night!Written February 18, 2025

Very disorganized tour company. I did 2 packages and both days were similar. They tell you to meet at a plaza or hotel in the city and try to figure out which bus you are on and the tour leaves 1/2 past the scheduled time. My travel agent booked me on private tours, I didn't expect 50+ people for 1 guide. The guide could not keep the group together and started the tour while people were still in the ticket line. A few got separated. Even after I told her that people were missing, she said that she couldn't wait for them. The receivers that the company uses for the audio guided tours is poor quality and all we heard was static. I only gave them 3 instead of 2 stars because the bus and driver were good. I would not use or recommend this company.

Overall we enjoyed the day. My main issue was with our guide who walked too fast and when we went to Giverny she walked off without us so we did not get the guided tour we paid for.
She did better at Versailles after I told her three times to slow down. We did have some issues getting to lunch due to traffic problems and again our guide got off the bus and walked about 1/4 mile to the restaurant but walked so fast she lost the entire group. I really did not feel I got my money's worth because the guide kept losing us.

The tour was very well organized, and our guide Isabel was knowledgeable and professional while keeping 33 of us on track for an ambitious schedule. The provided lunch was delightful, and more than I expected. We stopped in the countryside at a lovely old restaurant with a waterwheel for a 3 course seated lunch with wine and coffee included.

Audio for entire group did not work, so only those standing next to guide could hear what was being said. Individual audio didn’t pick up her mic unless you stood next to her which is impossible to do in a crowd. Complaining about it did not help since she didn’t bring any extras, and she didn’t understand that her mic was the major problem. Ultimately, she lost her microphone when we arrived at Versailles, so we ended up walking it on our own since we lost her in the crowd (and she had no flag to identify the group). Made no impact I guess since we couldn’t hear her! We listened in on other tour groups occasionally, but it was frustrating to spend so much money for a guided tour that, in reality, was just a bus ride. The lunch took too long, and should have been shortened in order to allow for more time at Versailles. The long lunch + having to wait for her to run back to the bus in order to try and find her audio (nope) left us with only enough time to walk through swiftly. No time for the gardens. Would not recommend this tour company. We used another tour group at the Louvre and we had zero complaints about the quality of audio/info. Not true with this tour…

On arrival at the meeting place we were informed that the Louvre was closed that day due to King Charles visit. Many of the other participants had already been informed and some had already received a refund. Despite many attempts to contact Trip Advisor, we have not had any response re this issue nor any offer of a refund. Although the Giverny sector of this trip was most enjoyable by the Paris City Vision Guide, response from Trip Advisor or the lack of has been extremely disappointing. It appears impossible to make a complaint to this company.

I highly recommend this experience! Manuela was an excellent guide, and we learned so much about not only Monet and Versailles but also French culture and customs. Every stop during the day, including lunch, was very efficient and enjoyable. This experience is well-worth the price.

Left the hotel by private driver in time to be at location 30 minutes early. Traffic was horrible, so began texting number provided. No response. We arrived late. Tour was gone. Texted again to try to catch up with them or meet. Still no response. Went on to Versailles on our own. Saw one of their guides and asked if this was the group we had missed. He said no, and when I explained what happened he said I would get a refund or alternate day. They did not respond so I am out $550.30. Contacted Trip Advisor/Viator upon return to the States. They denied my refund request, claiming I had not attempted to contact them. I sent them screen shots of the texts and they denied THREE TIMES. Don't be foolish like me and think you would never be in this boat. I am never late. I left the hotel at 6:45 for an 8:15 departure and still didn't make it. Do yourself a favor and book with a company that will entertain refunds, or take the train and save a bunch of money!

Claude Monet home was worth the time, but only if you are an admirer of Monet. If so, the grounds and home are well-preserved and quite lovely.
The lunch, by French standards, was mediocre. While the grounds were charming, there was insufficient time to enjoy them.
The Versailles portion, however, was a complete waste of time. The pace was maddeningly slow, the guide nearly unintelligible, and other than the Hall of Mirrors not much different than many other castles or palaces in Europe. The promised time in the Gardens never happened — the group was just loaded back onto the bus after the palace. Also, the advertised option to take a later bus back and spend time on your own in the Gardens was not offered, as there was no later bus available.
Fortunately, we recognized the issue, separated from the group, and toured the Gardens on our own. They were fabulous!
So for Versailles, I would suggest that you simply buy tickets to see the Palace and Gardens and enjoy them at your own pace.

This is really a question for the company offering the tour. But, while I believe the lunch we were served contained chicken, fish and dairy, I did overhear our guide discussing a different option for one group member with dietary restrictions.

My husband requires use of cane for walking long distances. How accessible are the two stops? Are there a lot of stairs? Do you get off bus close to both attractions? How much walking is in gardens? I appreciate any feedback. These are both sites I really want to see and don't want to cause him any difficulty.

We were there in October. Waited outside about 20 minutes or so. Not really a line per se, just had to wait until there was room to let more people in.
Written December 5, 2019
Does this package tour skip the line at Versailles? I have heard too many horror stories about the line and long wait.
Written August 21, 2018
Can you go to Versailles and see the outside/gardens without a ticket and going all the way in?
Written August 16, 2018
No. Its best to get a package that skips the lines, gives you a tour with headphones and free time in the gardens.
