- 24lorraineS0 contributionsBest tours of Brittany! My daughter and I began our tour in Bayeux, continued to St. Malo, Dinan, Dinard, Quimper, Pont Aven, Rennes and Paris - 7 days. This my 3rd tour with Belinda - who is an excellent driver, amazing guide, very personable and knowledgeable! Custom make your tour.Written May 6, 2024

- J_SLLin0 contributionsA fantastic tour guide definitely makes your trip unforgettable, and Belinda is the one! From the moment our tour guide picked us up at the train station, I knew I would love this tour guide! She is funny, knowledgeable and witty. Every place, every corner we visited that day, she explained in detail with historic stories which were easy to understand and remember. Not only we had a fantastic time in Mont Saint Michel with her, she also took us to a local fish port for fresh oysters. When we got to Saint Malo, we bumped into traffic and had a hard time finding a parking space. She wouldn’t want to waste our time, and showed us a direction for us to begin our walk and then she managed to catch up after finding a parking space. My friend and I actually decided not to have a proper lunch in order to save time, and then in Saint Malo, she told us to wait her for a few minutes in the middle of our walk in the town. She showed up with two packs of tasty local cookies she bought us in a famous local store, and told us” because you saved money for me at lunch”. But we know she didn’t have to, which was sweet! A fantastic tour guide can definitely make your day and make your tour wonderful, and she is the one!!!Written February 11, 2019
- jjgobears0 contributionsWonderful day packed with fun, food and informationOur private tour with Belinda was fantastic. From the moment she greeted us with some goodies until she ensured we found proper gate for departure at the train station, she was efficient, knowledgeable and funny. She shared a wealth of information about each location on the tour and her restaurant choices were awesome. She also agreed to customize the tour so we could visit some locations important in our family history. She drove us around in a comfortable mini van that had been stocked with water and snacks. When we faced slow traffic, she was a wizard at finding shortcuts to save time since we had so many sites to pack into one day. By the end of the tour, Belinda seemed like a longtime friend. I highly recommend her.Written January 2, 2019
- 871ginny0 contributionsTours and TransportationBelinda drove us (4 friends) from the Rennes Airport to St. Malo, then a day trip and tour of Mont St Michele, and finally from St. Malo to Bayeux. She grew up in the area and obviously loved showing off her home "state". She was always interesting and optimistic. It was great fun watching her maneuver her van through the tiny streets of St. Malo. Belinda climbed to the top of Mont St Michele with some of our group and knew the answers to our questions. She also suggested Le Ferme Restaurant for a late lunch. It was great. She's an excellent driver, good company, and a terrific advertisement for Brittany.Written August 12, 2017
- jeff_in_indiana0 contributionsSuperb tour experience - Highly recommendMyself and an associate were on a business trip to Rennes and decided to stay over the weekend and contacted Bellidays for a tour of Le Mont-Saint-Michel and we could not be happier with the experience. Belinda was an amazing tour guide. She shared her love of the region, its history, its food and its customs while driving us through the region in a comfortable vehicle and while accompanying us all day. When we suggested a detour on the return trip from Le Mont-Saint-Michel to St Malo for a late lunch, she agreed to the change eagerly. For anyone that is traveling in Brittany, I would recommend that you contact Bellidays and consider a tour. Her outgoing personality, gernerousity and energy made this an experience that I will always remember.Written May 7, 2017
- int_kb0 contributionsPrivate tour of Mont St. Michel and St. Malo with BellidaysTwo of us took a private day trip from Rennes to Mont St. Michel, Cancale, and St. Malo with Bellidays Tours. Belinda was our guide and driver. She was great. Belinda picked us up at our hotel in Rennes on time. We were able to get to MSM before the crowds. She was very knowledgeable and made the day fun and interesting. We were able to customize our tour, with her assistance. We didn't feel rushed and were able to spend enough time in each place. Belinda is a licensed tour guide and provided an interesting tour of the Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. She made a great lunch recommendation in Cancale, The Breizh Café, which was delicious! We also enjoyed our visit to Saint Malo. We had a wonderful day with Belinda. I would highly recommend this tour.Written October 7, 2016
- LOVE2Travel1111110 contributionsFantastic Tour Operator!!! Wonderful Times in Luxurious Comfort With A Great Guide!!!My wife and I had the incredible good fortune of finding Bellidays online for our Babymoon trip to France. We have traveled all over the world and have taken many private guides and Belinda and Bellidays are at the very top of our list for excellence. Everything was flawless and we had such a wonderful time. I arranged for two days of tours with Bellidays, first going to the D-Day beaches and Etretat and second going from Mont St. Michele to Brest, stopping by several Chateaus (French castles) on the way. I was corresponding with several tour companies in the area, and for the first day, many of them said that Etretat was too far and they wouldn’t take us. This was amazing because we’ve done day trips to Jordan from Eilat and Siam Reap from Bangkok which were 5 plus hours each way. But in corresponding with Belinda there was no difficulty and she was happy to make the trip. Immediately I knew that this was the company for us. We had taken the train to Cherbourg which is a little off the beaten path for most travelers, but is a beautiful port town with quaint charm. Belinda had informed me before we left that she would be our guide and I called just to make sure everything was confirmed the night beforehand and she answered right away and let me know that she was already in Cherbourg since we had a long day of sightseeing. The next morning we stepped out of our hotel and saw a beautiful Mercedes van which Belinda informed us was new. It still had the new car smell and was spacious and very nice. Belinda had thought of everything with a nice audio guide introduction (complete with effects) to start the D-day tour. The sites were great and Belinda was very knowledgeable and friendly. What really sets her apart, though, is she has a wonderful sense of humor and is very funny which is great because we did a fair amount of driving. She took us to all the major sites and it was great because at no time did we feel rushed, even though we had a long day. What was really unique and special was Belinda was friends with a shop owner who owned a private bunker at Omaha beach which was once occupied by the Germans and subsequently taken by American troops and she enabled us to see that. My wife and I take hundreds of pictures everywhere we go and Belinda was a great photographer for us, always doing it with a smile even though we would often ask for many pictures of the same thing (to make sure we got the perfect shot). After seeing the beaches we headed to Etretat, which has amazing white cliffs you can walk on top of. Thing had been great so far, but we were really amazed by Belinda as we told her about our itinerary. Originally we were planning on waking up at 4:30 a.m. the following day and taking a morning train down to Chateau Mont St. Michele and then seeing the abbey and church mid-day. It was not ideal, but it was the most economical. We had a second tour with Bellidays the day after our Mont St. Michele day, departing from there, and Belinda offered to take us to Mont St. Michele after Etretat so we would not have to take such an early train. I expected there to be a fee, but since it was on her way back to the company base, Belinda graciously offered to take us as part of the package. She contacted the Mont St. Michele hotel for us and got us a booking for that night and she even helped to arrange a refund for our train tickets. Belinda also suggested a guide who could take us on the Pilgrim's Walk/Crossing the Bay. We had contacted many guides before the trip, but due to the busy season, they were all booked, but Belinda made it happen. The Pilgrim's Walk/Crossing the Bay is done when the water recedes from the bay around Mont St. Michele and it is truly a one of a kind experience. There are very few people who do it and you get to walk barefoot in the sand around the island, the way the pilgrims did it in the years before the causeway was built. Guides are required because there is quicksand. It was really nice, too, because Belinda was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. For instance, she told us the hotel we booked was the only one in the town that has air-conditioning. She also let us know a place where we could have the lamb which eat the grass that grows in they bay. Many restaurants claim to serve it, but they just salt lamb from other locations. Since we enjoyed the tour so much the first day we requested that Belinda be our guide for the second tour we had planned. We went to two very beautiful castles, Fougeres, which is amazing and you can tour all around it and Vitre which is stunning though much smaller. Our next stop was Dinan, one of the most well preserved medieval villages in France. On the way, Belinda was talking about some of the other sites of interest in the area including St. Malo (which we had not previously booked to visit) as well as Carnac which is a beautiful spot on the ocean in southern Brittany which also has Druid stone formations that are over 7000 years old, older than Stonehenge, and are perfectly aligned. Immediately this piqued our interest but was in the opposite direction. We inquired about Brest (which we had chosen mainly because it had a fast, direct train back to Paris) and Belinda confirmed what we'd seen from the internet which was, while it was a nice city, it was not anything remarkable. It was also a 2.5 hour drive from Dinan. At that point Belinda was truly remarkable, being incredibly flexible. We started discussing the option of seeing Dinan and St. Malo and switching our nights in Brest for two nights in Rennes so that we could see Carnac the next day. Belinda made it happen, getting us a refund for our nights in Brest and getting us set up in a nice hotel in Rennes. Rennes turned out to be a charming city, much like a smaller version of Paris. This allowed us extra time in Dinan, which is really remarkable and lives up to its reputation, as well as being able to see St. Malo, which is definitely worth seeing. We were able to have a much more relaxing pace with the change and then start our day later the next day to drive to Carnac, which was really impressive, with stones that line up nearly perfectly. Belinda also took us to a less frequented grouping of stones, which had giant stones similar to Stonehenge. Carnac itself turned out to be a beautiful town right on the water and has a stunning beach with a nice walking area. On our trip that day, Belinda also helped us once again swap out or train tickets to get back from Paris. We were so grateful everything that we bought Belinda a gift basket to express our thanks. I would highly, highly recommend Belinda and Bellidays. They are a top-notch company and go the extra mile. The little extras such as having charges for all kinds of phones, books and maps of the area, and even getting little treats from the company such as local candies and cookies as thanks really go a long way and are icing on the cake of a great company. If you're going to France Bellidays is the company to book with.Written October 5, 2016

Mount St Michel is alwsys beatiful tough mass tourism is an issue.
Ms. Belinda, our driver, made a reservation for us in a good restaurant Chez Victor in Cancal.
Ms. Belinda, also allows us to change St Malo that we had visited twice by Dol to visit the beatiful gothic cathedral.
Of course we recommend this trip.

I unknowingly purchased a ticket for the afternoon instead of the morning because the Keolis website was so unclear. When I showed up with my son in the morning (first bus departing from Saint-Malo), I stood in line to get on the bus. The person right in front of us was able to purchase a ticket, then when our turn arrived, with tickets booked already (just not for that bus), the driver said: sorry, we are full. He gave priority to the person ahead of us. So we booked the next day (higher priced tickets). The driver told us we might get reimbursed (only 9 euros difference). I called them, and the agent explained to me what to do (receipts, email). I did all this end of July. Come September, still no response. I emailed them again and got a curt response stating that I was not eligible for any reimbursement. If you can get to Mont Saint Michel any other way, pick the alternative.
