Visiting the Lake District had been on travel bucket list for a while, and Rabbie’s three-day tour provided the perfect way to explore this charming and picturesque region. Despite November’s unpredictable weather, I was confident in Rabbie’s professional driver-guides, and our trip turned out to be blessed with great weather and a fantastic guide, Clive. We stayed in Keswick, which served as an excellent base for our daily adventures. I opted for the B&B accommodation and was delighted with Rabbie’s choice—a cozy local house with a delicious breakfast each morning. While I typically gravitate toward Premier Inns, staying in a traditional home added to the authenticity of the experience. The Lake District offered an incredible variety of sights, from breathtaking natural beauty to literary landmarks. Our days were filled with scenic hikes to waterfalls, serene lakeside strolls, and even a cruise on Windermere. Clive’s commentary was both insightful and engaging, offering a mix of historical context, natural highlights, and even local music that added to the atmosphere. In addition to the stunning landscapes, we visited cultural landmarks associated with William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter, and John Ruskin, which perfectly complemented the region’s quaint villages and idyllic charm. Clive truly made the trip exceptional. His expert driving through narrow, winding roads and over mountain passes instilled a sense of safety and ease. He also provided thoughtful recommendations for how to spend our free time, enhancing the overall experience. This was my first three-day tour with Rabbie’s, and based on my satisfaction and enjoyment, it certainly won’t be my last. The Lake District’s unparalleled beauty, combined with Rabbie’s excellent planning and Clive’s expertise, made this a trip to remember.

Great day!! Simon was an excellent guide to a beautiful region. The only thing he couldn’t arrange was the weather! But we had a brilliant day despite the rain and enjoyed the music on the way back to Manchester!

BEST part of our tour of England. Amazing, breathtaking, totally PERFECT. My daughter an I are fans of Jane Austen and this was my daughter's graduation wish to visit Chatsworth. Great views, excellent pictures, weather is cold (take adequate clothing), we are from the Caribbean and this a detail we missed. Tour company very professional and helpful. Highly recommended for Darcy fans!

Always wanted to live in the English countryside. This just validated that for me. Absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful looking. Mark, our tour guide, was so nice. It was kind of hard to believe he hadn’t been doing it very long. Loved learning about Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. And, oh, the gingerbread! I could go on and on!

Amazing and Enchanting. Perfect. Allowed us to travel back in time. We are fans of Jane Austen and traveled across the world to see this Castle. The experience was Worth 100%

Gosh the Lake District is beautiful and gorgeous. Wonderful tour that has a good highlight of what the Lake District has to offer and not having to worry about transportation or anything.! Would recommend this tour and this company for trips from Manchester.

Very good trip, well organised for someone like me who was going in North Wales for the first time ! Adam, the driver and guide, was good and very nice with everyone, although I would have appreciated sometimes more historical facts, more details about an historical event. But he was driving at a good pace and stick to good timings! The "less good" point: the meeting place with the bus. When you're not familiar with Manchester, it is quite hard to find the meeting place, even if we were given details in the email of confirmation. It was in a road not very frequented, almost no buildings so not many people passing by on a Saturday, under a bridge, not really reassuring.

Had a great time with Rob. He is very knowledgeable and helpful to get us the best experience possible. The van is comfortable and equipped with USB charger. Love the concept of small group tour for a better experience and interaction.

It was fantastic from the moment we entered the bus. James, our tour guide and driver started telling us all about the areas we drove through and brought us to beautiful places with views and authentic British villages. History of the area, happenings there, music of the area etc. etc. Too much to mention but we were well taken care of and entertained the whole trip and came out much wiser. The hotel selected by the tour organizers was also very good. One advise for the organization would be to give the tour guide our email addresses to be able to reach us in the rare event of not being able to arrive on time for pick up in the morning due to traffic.
