- Tucker R0 contributionsI ❤️ Mountain GoatSince our tour group was a smaller, our guide Mark H was very adaptable to what we wanted from this experience! His brain was impressively loaded with 4 hours of facts about everywhere we passed/got out to explore, and he made a much appreciated effort to get to know the group members. Would recommend to anyone I know is stopping through the area!Written November 15, 2024
- juliakF6202SW0 contributionsProper Welsh experienceA day trip of wpunderful mountain views, sea, picturesque little towns/villages and of course castles! A proper get-to-know Wales with historical and cultural commentary from Scott, who made sure to deliver the best possible experience! I recommend this trip for anyone wanting to discover this beautiful land and have a great time away from the city life- and Scott's humour is a plus!Written November 7, 2024
- 273maggie0 contributionsCastles galoreThe five stars is for Guide/ Driver Scott who did an amazing job with his knowledge of North Wales and even taught me a lot about it. He made sure we had a good time and showed us great view points to take photos. I enjoyed the tour even though the allocated time for Caernarfon Castle wasn't long enough to see the castle, have a look around the shops or river which was a shame. The highlight for me was the viewpoint of Snowdonia. Thanks again Scott for a brilliant day.Written November 3, 2024
- arpitam0 contributionsAn unforgettable experienceWe chose The Mountain Goat for the day trip to the Lake District. The driver cum guide was Jean, a very friendly and professional lady. She was very punctual and knowledgeable who poured in all the necessary details throughout the trip. Her experienced approach helped us dodge several rain clouds and we could make the most of day long trip. The journey was smooth and picturesque. Once out of the Manchester city the country side landscape is all rolling greens dotted with white cattle and clear blue sky. We reached Bowness by the lake Windermere, the largest lake of England. Very pleasant and windy. The cruise took us to the southern most tip of the lake. A railway carriage with heritage steam engine was waiting for us. We disembarked at Haverthwaite where we meet our guide. She took us through the winding country roads along the lake Coniston, the 3rd largest lake of England. The view was magnificent as we headed to Hawkshead, a chocolate box quaint village with charming character. This is a fairy tale place in reality. We bought some ingenious signature chocolate and caramel from the country and headed bavk to Manchester. This is a memorable trip and strongly recommended to all fellow travellers.Written October 23, 2024

- carolvR5359CJ0 contributionsHighly recommend! The Lake District is absolutely gorgeous and suitable for hikers and strollers alike. Can also simply take a boat ride on one of the lakes and there are snacks and fun ice cream stands at every turn for kids if all ages. We didn’t backpack but the mere prospect looked amazing. Also enjoyed swan, duck and goose watching.Written July 29, 2024

- Paradise656409100950 contributionsOne of the best and most creative tour guidesI have been around the world n joined a good number of tours. Tim, the tour guide from Mountain Goat, has been the most knowledgable and the most enthusiastic. He is also the most innovative in photography. Although I have been to the Lake District a number of times, the itinerary still impressed me. Tim told us a great deal of new things about the history, culture, geography n especially poetry about the region. His creative group photo n video of us are really creative n memorable. Very highly recommend him n the tour.Written June 18, 2024
