A well kitted out vessel, great staff and enjoyable experience. We booked short notice and were lucky to get on in time having travelled from Killala. The tour is about an hour and a half. It was great value and there was a musician down below when the guide finished chatting. We were there as a family of 3 and the child loved every minute and endured the sea wind well, seeing the seals, otters, birds, islands and jellyfish.

What a lovely experience. A group of 8 of us went, ages 5 to 75 and all enjoyed this. The tour was very interesting and the live music downstairs was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this as a fantastic way to see some spectacular views and learn something at the same time. Our hosts were welcoming and great craic. Thanks a million 😊

Thoroughly recommend this cruise, the skipper maximised the route to give us a close feel for the many fabulous nooks and features of Clew Bay.
Our guide narrator Saoirse was very entertaining and knowledgeable, brinigng us the interesting aspects of the natural world and the complex history of the bay.
Get a seat up top for the best experience.

I booked this online for my sisters hen party. Even though I am based in Australia, it was a very easy and straight forward process to get in touch with the organisers and confirm the trip online. The live chat also is very helpful. While I paid online there was also an option to pay on the day and the rates are very reasonable.
On the day it was lashing rain, typical Ireland, but the girls were in an inside area with a bar so they could still enjoy the views.
But the best part for the hen party was the live music that they provided onboard at no extra charge! The musician was fantastic and really made the trip for the girls. I would highly recommend this for any hen parties in Westport. Thank you very much Tomas and all the crew!

We booked for the half 6 cruise and we could clearly see the staff sanitising everywhere as the last passengers got off before we boarded. Anyone going downstairs wore face masks. There was a nice little bar serving bottles of beer, soft drinks and tea/coffee and a clean loo also which was great!! 90 mins around the bay, close up of the seals, so lovely. The guy giving the information was very funny and he knew his stuff. I found it really relaxing and I'm not a fan of boats, so all in all, my family enjoyed their trip!! Thank you!!

The weather was lousy the day of our cruise, but we still had a nice time! The hosts are friendly and the on boat cafe is a nice feature. However, there were two things that detracted from our experience.
1. We took the afternoon sailing, which means the boat was coming back from the morning sailing, dropping off those passengers, and then immediately loading us on board for our departure time. The boat was late and as a result, we left about 15 minutes late. Of course, this isn't a huge deal and we still sailed the full 90 minutes, but there were no staff in the office at the time so no one could communicate to us what was happening. It would be nice if there were a staff member on-site to handle issues like that. It was annoying to be waiting around wondering what was going on, considering the ticket says to arrive 30 minutes early to allow for loading time. We were there on time and still left late.
2. This is something that the business couldn't really control - about half of our boat consisted of a large group of 20 or so people (couples and their children). The top deck filled up quickly, so we sat downstairs in the boat with this large group and a couple of other passengers. The large group completely dominated the interior cabin - between them and the boat noise (we were at the back near the open doors as the group took up the whole front cabin), we couldn't hear any of the commentary over the cabin speakers. I'm the type who actually likes to hear the tour guide give info about the sites, so this was really annoying to me. And this large group of adults was busy drinking beer, taking pictures, and not watching their kids. It's obnoxious and uncomfortable to have random kids lying on the floor in front of your feet or on the benches next to you. Additionally, this is during a pandemic where these kids are definitely too young to be vaccinated and you don't necessarily want them right next to you. It really took away from the experience. Again, it's not the company's fault that this group was on board and acted the way they did, but it's something to think about for future passengers.
In short, if you like to actually hear the tour guides and a bit of personal space, be aware that it's a crapshoot who will be sharing the tour with you. If it's a group like the one we had, you won't have a great time. Otherwise, it's an enjoyable ride and experience. I don't think I'd do it again unless I had a big group or children with me.

Hi. I'm sorry your experience onboard wasn't up to the high standards that we set. I'm very sorry the sailing was 15 minutes late arriving but glad you got the full 90 minutes out there.
Sometimes due to the tidal nature of the harbour our sailings are back to back. I'm sorry there wasn't a representative there to explain the delay and this is something we'll rectify into the future.
It's a pity that one group onboard seemed to dominate the downstairs space. We like all of our passenger to have equal run of the facilities and commentary. I will talk to all the crew to make them aware of this to try and avoid a similar occurance again.
It's also a pity you weren't given the opportunity to enjoy the commentary and I'm saddened that you feel it's a trip you don't think you'd do again.
If you ever do feel like doing it again, please contact me directly on 0876890615 as I would like to afford you the opportunity of experiencing our cruise at its best.
Thanks very much for all your comments. We'll take all of it onboard so we can avoid a repeat of this for any other customer.
All the best. Tom.

Lovely cruise around Clew Bay on a beautiful sunny day. Only small dissapointment was the 'Guide' doing the narrative. Very monotone voice and lacked ability to engage with guests.
The skipper of the boat would be better doing the narrative himself, if allowed.

Thanks Chris for the great review ( skipper speaking here). The guide that was on your cruise had only started that day, it was his first day doing it. I've passed on your points about the tone of his voice and I'm sure his next days will be better. Our guides vary from day to day. Thanks for your feedback and glad you enjoy ever other aspect of the cruise. All the best. Tom

We really enjoyed this cruise around Clew Bay and would recommend it to others. My 5 year old was a bit angsty, but the other children really enjoyed it. The weather was pleasant but overcast and this would be an even more enjoyable experience on a lovely sunny day or evening.

We went on an evening cruise 7pm, 2 kids and 2 adults. The whole crew made us feel really comfortable and relaxed and the guide Mick had us transfixed with local lore and craic and the scenery is stunning. The kids loved it all above and below deck counting jelly fish and seals in the water.

Wonderful tour around the isles of Westport. We booked a tour during our family visit in Westport, thanks to the weather we enjoyed it a lot. The guide told many interesting facts and stories about isle and town history and wildlife. We could see beautiful landscapes and learn a lot. It was my second time taking the tour. Sadly, this time there was no life music on board. Please include it into the tour as it brings nice atmosphere. Thank you

Hi there. Thanks so much for the great review and 5 stars. Glad you learnt alot and enjoyed seeing the beautiful landscape. Unfortunately during the latter end of the season it's not always possible to have live music onboard due to reduced numbers onboard. This happens more so in October time than any other. We do replace this with streamed music instead but of course it's not the same as having a live musician onboard. Thanks again for your feedback. All the best. Tomas

Hi,
Are you still enforcing the COVID mask wearing while taking the cruise, or is it by choice now? Just curious as I am interested in booking the cruise for my family and I.
Thank you.

Hi do you have provision for disability. Can you accommodate a person using oxygen.
Written August 15, 2021
Hi, not sure about disabled access. The gangway is narrow enough and has non slip ridges like a ladder. There are however two lean crewmen who I’d say would have no problem assisting someone aboard! There’s plenty of room on board also. Hope this helps.
