    Great trip!
Great trip. Beautiful views. One tip: you’re not taking this trip for the lunch. Consider bringing food and spending more time exploring the island. Jerry was a great guide!

Great Guide, incredible sites, wish we had spent a little more time at both the Aran Island and Cliffs of Moher
The guide was wonderful, funny, gave great history and clear instructions. The bus ride was comfortable and the transitions from bus to ferry and back were seamless. My only comment is that I wish we had spent more time at both locations. The Cliffs of Moher are extraordinary and one hour and 20 min is a short time (too short), and at the Aran Island (Inesheer) we would have loved a little more time. However, if you were going to see both quickly, this was an enjoyable way to do it.

    I own the Cliffs!
great day! Alan (driver) was magnificent! You'll be lucky to get him....storyteller, historian, joke teller....Cliffs are spectacular! Boat ride was thrilling at times too! The shipwreck was fascinating!

    Perfect Day Trip
This trip was perfect to go to one of the Aran islands and the Cliffs of Moher. You have the exact right amount of time at every location. My guide was fantastic and kept us all entertained and informed of our surroundings throughout the day. Make sure to pack for a wet trip on the ferry!!

Amazing Cliffs and Education of Wild Atlantic Way
We met with Alan our bus driver and guide at the Kinlay Hostel. We left precisely at 9am. The bus was comfortable and Alan had his son Nathan along for the day. The driver to Doolin pier to catch the ferry to Inisheer was about 1 1/2 hours long. Alan pointed out interesting spots along the way and gave some history about them. We took about 40 minute ride to Inisheer on the ferry. The ferry is a bit bumpy. The Aran island of Inisheer is beautiful. We hiked up to the castle. You can also take a horse and buggy ride or rent a bike to explore the island. We then went to the hotel pub for lunch and a pint. The crab salad sandwich was delicious! We then boarded the return ferry which passed directly in front of the Cliffs of Moher and explained about them. Magnificent views! Then we boarded the bus again and drove about 10 minutes to the Cliffs visitor center. You then get about an hour to walk to the top and get another beautiful view. They had shops and toilets there, as well. Once back on the bus, Alan drove us another road to get back. We drove the Wild Atlantic roadway. Spectacular views of the Burren and Galway Bay. About 2 hours drive to get back to Kinlay Hostel in Galway City. The entire trip is about 10 hours and well worth it! Thanks to Alan and Nathan for a wonderful experience.

    Great!
Overall a great tour where you get to see many sights in a day. It would have been nice to know the cost of the tours on the island beforehand, but other than that it was a fun trip.

    Amazing and Exciting
This tour was all we could have hoped for even though it started out with VERY rough weather conditions. Our masterful guide, Alan, made an expert decision to reverse his typical route in order to give us the best experience on our way back up the coast after the Inis Oírr. He was prompt, straightforward, and hilarious. The ferry experience from Doolin is INSANE. We had rough seas on the way to the island and especially on the way back along the Cliffs of Moher. I would love to write about the ferry in particular, but for the ambitious adventurer, the less you know the better. I will say that waterproof jacket is a must. Waterproof pants aren’t essential, but I soaked my jeans and would have brought another pair of pants/unders if I had known. Inis Oírr is wonderful, just experience it. If I had to sum up the tour, I’d have to say that Alan is a straight up gangster (love from LA)

Bus, boat & horse cart (optional) from Galway to Connemara to Aran to the Cliffs
Our guide Phil was very knowledgeable and funny and we enjoyed learning about the area a lot. Weather was decent until we left Aran islands but it turned bad when our boat was heading for the cliff (underneath). I did not get out on the deck so I could only see the cliffs through the windows. Overall interesting experience and recommend it and take Dramamine. Bonus: I was able to spot several dolphins on our way out.

Our day on Inisheer and the drive back. The Cliffs were difficult to see due to weather.
The weather was absolutely awful but our guide was great. Told us about the villages and history and was super nice. I’d love to come back when the weather is better. We had a great time even though the visibility was bad.

    A MUST do trip!
Definitely a must do trip while visiting Galway! Our bus driver, Jerry, was super engaging, knowledgeable & quite hilarious... We got very lucky with the weather. The trip to Inis Oírr (the smallest of the Aran Islands) was terrific as we chose the horse & buggy ride with a local to view the island sites. And the Cliffs of Moher were absolutely gorgeous to see from both the water and on land. The day went rather quickly considering the amount of time we were there. I recommend to anyone visiting Galway.

    What a day!
What a great day! Alan was our bus driver and tour guide and gave us wonderful commentary along the way, educating us about the villages we passed through and scenery before we arrived at Doolin. Alan helped set us up with a mini tour on Inisheer and let us know where we could get lunch as well as shop. The ferry ride out to the cliffs was amazing. It poured all the way out there but then the fog and rain stopped just as we got closer: spectacular!! Once we got back to Doolin, the bus took us quickly to the tops of the Cliffs of Moher and we had plenty of time to walk around and take photos. As we arrived back in Galway, Alan helped several us with restaurant recommendations. Definitely a trip I would recommend. And definitely bring your rain gear!

Stunning trip and an amazing day
An amazing journey. Alan was an informative - and hilarious! - guide and shared local history along every step of our tour. You can't beat the view of the Cliffs from the Atlantic, and visiting Inisheer was so lovely. I was also thankful that I booked this tour that brought us to the Cliffs from the Aran Islands, as the Wild Atlantic Way (that's not an overstatement!) prevented several other boats from Doolin from being able to travel to the Cliffs directly. I would recommend wearing a waterproof jacket with a hood and shoes that are designed to get wet, especially if the waters are choppy - you will very likely get splashed, not only on the boat ride from Doolin but even more so on the top deck of the boat to the Cliffs. Thank you, Alan!

We had the pleasure of Gerry as our tour guide for the day. He knows his stuff. Gave a running commentary for the duration of the trip. Plenty of stops along the way at points of interest and photo opportunities. The main event was the hike up Diamond Hill in Connemara National Park. We had great weather for a January in Ireland. Clear skies and the sun was out. The 3 hour stop was ample time to complete the longest route to the top and back down, but there are shorter options for the less adventurous. Gerry, who has done the hike himself many times, understood we may be tired on the drive back, so had the Irish tunes playing, stopping them only to point out further info and for scenic photo stops. Great day from start to finish. My only disappointment was Gerry only sang the 1 song for us, but it was one of the best renditions of Fields of Athenry I've heard. Cheers for the great day!!

Hi Paul, thank you for taking the time to review our Connemara National Park Day Tour. Delighted to read that the weather and Gerry were at their best. The Fields of Athenry is one of Gerry's favourites and I agree, he sings it well.

We went with wild atlantic way tours in Storm Ciera! The wind and rain made it impossible to see most of the natural attractions, so we weren't able to see the beauty of the natural park on the day. However, we did two hours at Kylemore Abbey and it was amazing even in torrential downpour. The garden and estate are beautiful in absolutely any weather, and I would highly recommend visiting.

Excellent all day tour of beautiful Connemara. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. 3 hours was perfect amount of time to explore the yellow trail and exhibit at the national park and have a lovely lunch at the restaurant located where the bus dropped us off. Many stops for photos. Arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to get a good seat on the bus. Best seats are closest to front. Sitting in back make half makes it very hard to hear guide due to air vents blowing. Seats on bus are very narrow which made the long drive a bit challenging.

I was blown away at this tour of Connemara and so much more. Jerry our guide was absolutely AMAZING! So knowledgeable and genuine. He felt like a long lost relative you could listen to all day. He even serenaded us with a traditional Irish tune while driving through the beautiful countryside. 10/10 would recommend.

Our driver Mike was gentle, knowledgeable about the areas and Ireland history, all served with a lovely slight of Irish humour.
We were proposed nice stopping place to take pictures and had the opportunity ether to visit Kylemore Abbey (2 hours) or Connemara park (2 hours)
We enjoyed a great day with friendly folks.
Thank you Mike!

This was my favorite tour I have ever been on while traveling, Gerry was very knowledgeable. When the entire group opted to go to Diamond Hill instead of taking the extra time at Kylemore Abbey we were able to experience the amazing beauty of Connemara! I know I will have to come back to Connemara and hike across it, since I fell in love with the landscape right away. Thanks for a great tour Gerry!

A lovely day out in Connemara! The weather was very typical west of Ireland weather but that only added to the atmosphere. The place feels like it’s full of magic. Our tour guide Mike was amazing! His knowledge of the area Is unparalleled and he is a fantastic story teller. We laughed a lot and he was great craic, well able for us and our daft questions. Hanging out with Mike feels like hanging out with an old friend. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for making the day so special Mike.

I was a little hesitant to do a tour like this, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It was the perfect amount of stops - we never got too sick of being on the bus. I highly recommend doing the Diamond Hill hike in Connemara National Park. It's a trek that will take a full 2 hours, but the views from the top are breathtaking! We didn't manage to catch our tour guide's name - I think it was Khal? Maybe Carl? But he was an outstanding tour guide! So friendly and since we sat in the front of the bus he gave us a lot of insider info on Irish history and landmarks.

The tour was very nice, the guide friendly and funny!
He spoke calmly and slowly which is very nice for foreign people and for almost 6 hours in total in the bus. We also stopped every now and then for taking pictures, the guide knew the perfect spots to take pics.
People could chose whether to go to the Connemara National Park or to Kylemore Abbey and I chose the latter, very nice choice, even though the guide came to pick us up a bit later than the time settled at the beginning because he went to pick up the group that decided to go hiking in the Connemara National Park, not a big deal anyways.
Everything was very nice and it has been a very nice experience overall, I would repeat :)

We did the Wild Atlantic Way Day Tour from Galway and got to see the best spots in Connemara and the sourroundings. I believe our tour guide Gerry was brilliant as he explained a lot in a very interesting way, enabled us to enjoy the best views over an amazing landscape and gave us enough time to discover every place in my opinion.
We really enjoyed our tour and therefore I would highly recommend it!
It was an absolute enrichment and we're very happy we chose this tour.
Thank you again Gerry, it was a pleasure!
