brilliant trip!
Nov 2021 • Family
It's a tour that doesn't have too many driving hours and has more time out in the countryside. Working sheep dog demonstration by Michael was great fun, the dogs are trained really well. Then we had a coffee stop in Hollywood café, very nice village and a short walk in the field, where the movie "Michael Collins" was filmed. A drizzly and misty day for driving through the wicklow mountains national park with a brief photostop at the viewing platform. Our driver Natasha then took us to have lunch near Glendalough, not a sit down place, more like a healthy version of a fast food place. Glendalough lakes are special and loop walk took us around 1,5 hours. Natasha gave us directions and gave us information and stories about a saint that killed a woman, who was in love with him. The cherry on the cake was the Guinness lake, apparently, not always possible to go there, but we were asked to come back earlier to have time to go to another set of valley of the two lakes and it was just something extraordinary, that I will never forget. Loved the tour and recommend it.

Beautiful area with a long boring bus ride.
The drive and times allotted to the locations did not align. The visit to watch the sheep dogs work was cool. The gentleman was happy to share his knowledge. The dogs are so well trained. Pretty cool. The second stop was at the town of Hollywood for a break at a cafe. The cafe was busy (it was a Sunday) and there was too time to kill if you didn’t want to eat. Wicklow Gap was a scenic vista worth a quick stop. Lunch was at the National Park. Numerous options to grab a bit. However, this was a 3 hour stop. Again, way too much time for this stop. The driver did not offer much commentary on this 10 hour tour so the whole bus ride was a bit boring which is why it only gets 3 stars.

The real life sheepdog demonstration was my favourite thing. Our bus driver was very relaxed and friendly and the group atmosphere was lovely. The scenery was fabulous and it wasn't too tiring. I highly recommend it.

A magical trip with lots of ferry stories
Feb 2020
Thanks to Paul we were taken through the Wicklow Mountains with lots of stories about nature, ferries, and impressive moments. While driving he also sang for us and explained what we are seeing out of the window, he also stopped the bus at several fabulous places to take some pictures. Best was the stop at a farm, a sheepdog show included, and a 1,5 hour guided walk through the nature.

Enjoy the Irish day!
No need to rush in this tour, really unexpected. The farm experience is one of the best, especially petting Florie the dog shepherd. Very lucky to have Jim as our guide, I got lost in the car park and made him worried! Sorry, Jim! He is very responsible to get everyone on board. Thank you for all the histories, and Ooh my goodness .. and for the Gaelic lesson!

I loved the visit to the farm and watching the collie round up the sheep. I was close enough to touch the dog as she ran past. Glendalough was awesome even when it rained. The heather was in bloom on the Wicklow mountains which was beautiful. Our guide Paddy was friendly courteous and informative. On a sunny day this would have been something special.
