About
Join your guide Jim in the heart of Dublin and explore some of the best spots for oysters, seafood, traditional pub fare, artisanal cheese and meats, ice-cream and Irish whiskey! You will walk through the cobblestoned streets of Dublin and explore regional food sold by your host's favorite vendors. You will stop at four to five spots that include an oyster bar, seafood cafe, traditional pub for a stew tasting or a contemporary cafe for an artisanal Irish cheese and meat tasting, as well as an ice-cream shop that specializes in making ice cream from the rich milk of the Kerry cow! You might learn about what flavor to expect from an oyster depending on its origin or indulge your taste buds in three traditional Irish stews - lamb, beef and coddle (sausage).  Learn about the sustainable food traditions of Ireland, and taste a variety of Irish food during this eye-opening tour with a knowledgeable Irishman!

Jim was welcoming and knowledgeable about the food scene in Dublin and across the country. We sampled wonderful bites and also received 101 tips on the foods, dining scenes and walks in both Dublin and along the wild Atlantic way. EVERY suggestion we were able to follow-up on was five star - from small town (and big city) pubs to great almost secret sights/hikes. Thank you for helping us curate an incredible 2.5 weeks in Ireland. We will be back as there were lots of suggestions we didn't get to experience this trip. Only thing he forgot to mention was the quiet in the countryside and the amazing warmth of the people we encountered.

We had an absolutely wonderful time with Jim. He is funny, knowledgeable, and showed us a side of the Dublin food scene that we would not have otherwise seen. He is a master storyteller, and the way he wove information together about the food we were eating and Irish history was incredible. My whole family agrees that our afternoon with him was a top highlight of our two weeks in Ireland.

He made other recommendations for us during our trip (within and outside of Dublin) and everything he recommended was spot on.

Book with Jim, you won't regret it!

Booked this tour way in advance. Was so looking forward to it. Reviews were great. Got my receipt. Showed up with my friends on time and excited!!!!! The tour was on our second day and we were eager to know the history . Jim never showed. When we called him, he was on another tour. He was very apologetic. Said the information was never forwarded to him. He stated that he would contact the company for our refund. Two days later, no refund and no communication from the company other than review request. Again, Jim was very apologetic and polite. Find another company to book with.

Dear Jobonds, Thank you so much for your honest feedback and for letting us know about your experience. I was so disappointed to hear that Jim did not show up for your food tour experience and am truly sorry. I can imagine how disappointed and frustrated you must have been when your tour guide didn't provide this experience you were so looking forward to. We also apologize for how long it took for you to receive your refund. There was a communication breakdown on our end and we are working hard to ensure this does not happen again. Our goal as a company is to provide our travelers with meaningful, cultural and culinary experience. We fell short and we take responsibility for you not receiving the experience you expected. Please accept my sincere apologies. We are working to ensure refunds are processed in a timely manner and that our hosts make every effort to provide the confirmed experience or give enough notification if they are unable to make it due to unavoidable circumstances. Again, I am truly sorry that you had a negative experience. That is not the level of service we strive to provide. Thank you again for providing your valuable feedback, we truly appreciate the time you took to give us your thoughts so that we might improve. We hope we might have the chance to make up for it and serve you in the future. Thank you so much! Sincerely, Aashi Traveling Spoon Team

Jim gave us the best way to experience Dublin. We enjoyed our tour the first full day we were in Dublin and he gave us an insider look at what to do and where to eat in Dublin. Now we don't need to guess which pub to hang out in or where to go to grab a picnic lunch or enjoy a proper Sunday supper. We learned all about Dubin's culture and history. Jim was very patient answering our questions and was attentive to know what we would enjoy while avoiding specific food allergens we have in our group. He went above and beyond our expectations and we couldn't be more pleased. Thank you, Jim!!
