Superb Sunday afternoon stroll around Dublin with Liam who was a first class guide - engaging, entertaining and very informative. Set out the context building up to the Easter Rising, the conflict itself and beyond into the Irish Civil War exceptionally well. It’s a complex enough subject as well as one that’s emotive to this day as it shapes modern Irish history but Liam delivered it all factually and impartially…..which was good as we were (I think!) the only three English guys on the tour! The Rising was one of the seminal moments in the history of these islands and my understanding of it has been significantly enhanced thanks to Liam’s top tour.

If you only do one thing in Dublin make it this tour, its the best money and time you'll spend. Lorcan is a welcoming host and, by the end of the tour, a friend. I cannot commend the tour highly enough, Lorcan's knowledge of Irish Republican history is second to none and its an experience not to be missed. It's always a pleasure to tour with someone who is both knowledgeable AND enthusiastic. Lorcan Collins brings an encyclopedic knowledge to this tour, able to dredge up the most obscure fact from the corners of his memory with ease. If you're interested at all in the origins of modern Irish history, you owe to yourself to spend two hours of your stay Dublin on the tour. Iontach maith, Lorcan!

My husband’s choice - and a good one it was! Very informative and entertaining tour. It was great to learn about the facts from someone who is clearly passionate about it. I would recommend this tour - but if you’re tempted to grab a coffee somewhere else before the tour starts - don’t! Starting at the pub gives time for a drink there.

Really enjoyed this tour and I would advise it to tourists and people living here who want to learn more about 1916. Lorcan was a brilliant guide and really insightful. Great knowledge imparted throughout the tour along with some good laughs. Highly recommended.

This month I had the privilege of meeting Lorcan for a 2 hour private tour. In 2017 I took the 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour and was thoroughly impressed with the his knowledge and character. This time I was looking to secure additional information on Michael Collins. While having read numerous books on Michael Collins and about the War of Independence I was delighted to walk with him to Dublin places frequented by Michael Collins as well and discuss information on him. Lorcan answered inquiries, resolved questions and provided insight on many aspects of the life, times and experiences of the man. Highly recommend his book ( Ireland's War of Independence ) , his podcast ( Revolutionary Ireland Podcast ) and the 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour. In fact schedule a private tour and walk away impressed and completely satisfied.

We could not have been in better hands than with Lorcan Collins. Lorcan brought this momentous time in Irish history to life with his encyclopaedic knowledge of the events and people that helped shape modern Ireland. He has a perfect manner and clarity of delivery. Lorcan will field any question "on the hoof", but still maintain the tempo and connection to the themes of the tour. There is so much to learn from the tour for everyone, whatever the level of your knowledge of Irish history. Could not recommend the tour more highly.

This tour was very informative and fun. Lorcan held our attention from the very beginning. The walking was easy and never felt I was left behind or couldn't hear something. Disappointed I didn't buy the book at the meeting point, but easily fixed.

Lorcan met us promptly at “The International Bar” introduced himself to our group and began to take us all back in time. We were told about the prominent figures of the uprising, we visited important sights and all of which was enhanced by Lorcan’s knowledge, passion and keen sense of humour. A must for anyone visiting Dublin. Thank you Lorcan!!

This is a great tour to take. Quite insightful and educational as well as being entertaining. You get a thorough education on not only the uprising, but also many of the events that led to it. Even my 7-year old daughter enjoyed the tour.
