    MUST DO!
Was at the Irish dance party today. This is our second time. This is a ''MUST DO'' when in Dublin. Gary is a first class host, singer/ entertainer, interacting with us all the while. The dancers are very professional also. We will definitely be back.

    Great fun for student group
I'm a teacher from Austria and took my students to the Irish Dance party while on a language trip to Dublin - once again! It's always great fun and even the reluctant students finally dance and enjoy themselves. This time, some got so keen on the dancing, they wanted more!! The reason I gave only 4 stars is that we were put together with another student group from Slovenia and were not told in advance. The room was too crowded then and it's so much harder to get strangers to dance with each other. It was Steven, the musician who saved the day! He was brilliant! Not only his musical talent and voice was terrific, he also got the students to listen about Irish history and culture. When he said that music is about sharing, the students from the two groups even sang songs from their homes to each other. For me, they would never have done that. Steven - you're a STAR! Keep up the great work, sharing Irish culture. It was grand!!! Needless to say that the 3 Irish dancers did a fantastic job and were so patient teaching the students. I will book again when I bring the next student group to Dublin. Thank you!

I couldn’t even expect such immersing and fascinating diving into Irish dance. I saw 3 performances of Irish dancers, a guitarist was playing traditional songs, and 3 times during the program we had a dance class (in between live music and dance performances) The atmosphere and the way the girls were explaining the dance, interacting with people and bringing them all to dance was sooo fun Thank you for these amazing memories! I highly recommend trying this experience to everyone who wants to dive deeper into Irish culture!

Fantastic experience and great customer service!
We weren’t really sure what to expect beforehand but we had a great time, laughed loads and made some great memories! I’d definitely recommend this to anyone on a hen do looking for a laugh! Daniel was great too, so quick to get back to any queries I had leading up to the day!

    Best Dance Experience
This is a great dance class. We had a brilliant time learning to irish dance to celebrate a 40th birthday. The musician was great and the dancers were insanely talented. Thank you Irish Dance Party, you were the highlight of our trip.

    Disappointing
We had a booking with Irish Dance Party for our group of French students but we were very disappointed. *We paid for 2 hours but it lasted only 1h40. * During this two hours, at least 1h or 1h10 consisted in watching a guy playing the guitar, whereas we were waiting for a real irish show and dance initiation. * On the videos on their website there are two dancers and a man playing uilleann pipes, we only had one dancer and a guitar player... The part with dancing was great, but it was really too short.

    Hen party
We had a great time at the Irish Dance Party last weekend. It was a great laugh and was something different. It took place at the Merchants Arch Pub beside the Halfpenny Bridge (It usually is held at O'Sheas Pub but was closed due to Covid). We arrived an hour early so had a drink in the bar downstairs. The staff at the Merchants Arch Pub are very friendly. The showed started at 3pm and lasted about 2 hours. There was a musician playing Irish instruments and sang and there were two Irish dancers who showed us 3 different jigs. Most joined in and it was great craic. We are from Dublin so this venue was perfect for us. Before Covid we would have gone away for this but tbh we are delighted we stayed local. There was another group of Hens there from the UK and several other smaller groups from different countries. We booked a table downstairs for after the show for food and drinks and had intended heading off somewhere else but there was live music on all night at the Merchants Arch pub so we ended up staying there. I would recommend the show to everyone. Thanks Dan and all the staff for a great evening.

Really well organised, great idea, and such fun. Great music, large enough area for the groups of people attending. Bar and toilet facilities available. Definitely recommend it!

    Irish Dancing
The perfect activity for our hen party!! We had such a laugh! The Irish dancers were brilliant, the atmosphere was epic, and the drinks weren't too dear considering we were in the middle of Dublin!

All in all, we had a fun two hour experience!
Gary did an amazing job, keeping the crowd entertained with little jokes and songs he played with his guitar. Very authentic and enjoyable.
The dancers showed all the three dances and they were fun to learn.
However, there could have been a bit more dancing and definitely more room on the dance floor! It was hard to fully enjoy the dancing when half your mind was trained on not stepping on other feet by accident because it was so crowded.
Furthermore, I would have liked if the dancers would have been more concentrated at teaching the dances than doing jokes between themselves and dancing around when another was explaining.
(Also, the bar is quite expensive and we were told that it's not allowed to drink our own drinks we brought.)
When we were actually dancing, it was fun but there is room for improvement.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review us. We are glad you enjoyed the event. We are sorry you felt that there was not enough space. We are extremely careful that the group dances are done in such a way that there is enough space for everyone. Unfortunately the lines were don't incorrectly for the last dance. We have since retified this. With regard to bringing your own drinks, it is sticktly prohibited to bring your own drinks to Merchants Arch Bar bar just as it prohibited to bring your own drinks to any other bar.

The Irish Dance Party was fun. The music was good, especially the traditional trad music played on the fiddle! The dancers were also clearly very talented (but only danced for maybe six minutes in total).

Now the bad: there were far, far too many people booked for this event. The sheer mass of people there really detracted from the fun and enjoyment. There must have been at least 60 people trying to cram onto a dance floor in two groups of 30! In fact, there were so many people there we did not even get the three dances as promised by the website. That was very disappointing. This event could be outstanding with a capped attendance, but, unfortunately, was average at best.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review us. We are delighted you enjoyed our live music and our amazing dancers. I am sorry to hear you felt the dances were too short. We are currently busy rehearsing exciting new Dance routines and we look forward to performing them very soon! I looked back over the videos of the day and I saw that the dances were not being taught in too circles like they should have been. There were too many people in one for me with the result the dance sets were cluttered. I have address this issue with the dancers in question.

We attended for a hen party and had a great time. The dancers were great and very talented but they could have preformed for longer. Learning the dances was so much fun but it was impossible to try and do them as there were far to many people on the dance floor at a time. We actually choose to sit out the last dance and just watch as it was far too busy and very hot with no air conditioning. The first two dances were spilt into two groups to learn them which was busy enough but the last dance had everyone there learning at once.

I brought a group of university students to the Irish Dance Party and they had a blast. We all enjoyed just listening to the live music and were mesmerized by the incredible dancing of the performers. The instructions went very quickly, but the students were able to fake it until they made it, and by the end they felt pretty confident. It was their favorite experience of our four days in Dublin.

Not a bad experience, but unfortunately we had to leave early:(. We were sat in a corner for the short performance part, which was a bummer. I’m sure it was because we were the only party of 2 there. This particular event seems best suited for bachelorette parties (“hen parties). The Irish dancers sat upstairs doing their thing until they were called down to perform. We were there for 45 minutes and they danced once then they called folks out on the floor to learn how to dance. I expected more performing from them. Bummer. If you’d like more of a performance, this is not the function for you. It wasn't bad - the singer (Daniel?) was pretty good but again, I wanted more dancing.

So much fun! Went as part of a hen do. The music was so good and the dancers were incredible! The group dances they taught us were so much fun, we were just laughing and smiling the whole time. The drinks were really good as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Dublin!

I booked this with friends for a hen do party and everyone absolutely loved it! It involved a mixture of dancing but also listening to a fantastic Irish singer and guitar player play some classic songs! There is a bar so you can get drinks, and people are brought up to the floor in groups with professional Irish dancers. When you’re not dancing you can sit back and relax and enjoy the atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend this for other hen groups!

This was such a fun, relaxed way to enjoy some Irish music and dancing. We brought our young kids, 2 and 4, and they had a BLAST. A special shout out to one of the dancers, Rachel, who went above and beyond to make sure my 4 year old daughter had a wonderful time. Rachel held my daughter’s hand while she was dancing and guided her through the moves. The dancers were great, the music was great, the venue was great. I cannot recommend this enough!!

The venue for the event was great, nice and spacious and over looked the river. There was a quite a good number of people in the room from all different corners of the world which was great to see.

We arrived slightly early to be told that the dancers were running late, the event/show was due to start at 3pm but due to this started around 10 past 3.

The show was started by a musician singing a range of old Irish songs and explaining a little about them and the history around it. The dancers then came down to perform a range of Irish dancing which was quite interesting to watch.

The show was then split into three sections where you the opportunity to learn three dance moves yourself which was good and very tiring. Towards the end it looked like the dancers had ran out ideas as there was still 15 minutes left before the stated end time. They did perform one routine to fill in the time but it felt a little unorganised.

Over all the event/show was good but was scared by the fact I didn’t think the three dancers actually wanted to be there. Talking amongst themselves and not really engaging with the audience for both their routines and the routines they were showing us.

Hello, thank you for coming to The Irish Dance Party. I am glad you enjoyed our dancers. I made some enquiries and the dancers were actually on time. Often the start time is delayed a little with customers arriving, finding their seats and oderering drinks. I can assure you that our dancers love what they do. Indeed they have just finshed choreographing new steps which they have been delighted to perform. Thank you for your feedback.

One of the most fun experiences we had in Dublin. Open and appropriate for all ages. You not only get to experience some music and watch some dance but try dancing yourself if you choose.

If you're seated near the musician's stage, the dancers backs will be to you most of the time so ask for a seat on the side or by the bar or balcony when you book. Also they assign seats based on the number of tickets purchased so if you're going as a group purchase together in a single transaction to avoid the need to try and rearrange when you arrive.

Great venue conviently located with friendly service. Plan to head downstairs after the event and continue with great music, food and drink if that's your scene.
