Dublin Secret Food Tour
From $72.26
Overview
Eat like a true Dubliner on this 3-hour small-group Dublin food tour. With your guide, seek out authentic pubs, cafés, food shops, and markets, and savor Irish specialities including a traditional breakfast, artisanal cheeses, ice cream, and more. Pair your tastings with an Irish cream liqueur and another tipple, and admire some of Dublin’s hidden gems and learn about its culinary heritage as you eat and explore. Tour is limited to 12 or fewer.
What to Expect
Meet your local Irish guide near Trinity College at mid-morning, and set off toward an award-winning café: a Dublin institution that has been feeding generations of hungry locals for nearly 40 years.

Here, savor some quintessentially Irish breakfast specialities before venturing into the area of a quaint old whiskey shop and trying a sip of a delicious, singular Irish cream.

As you explore, your guide will tell you all about the history of the neighborhoods you visit and show you some of their hidden gems.

Head to an intriguing public house that specializes in home-cooked Irish food and that was a favorite stop of Bill Clinton when he visited the city.

Sample some wonderfully rich artisanal Irish cheeses in a fantastic food store, and end your tour with an exquisite artisanal Irish ice cream, made using the freshest ingredients. Plus, after your ice cream, enjoy a delectable secret dish, too!

While tastings on your tour may vary, you can expect to enjoy the following foods and drinks:

  • Award-winning Irish breakfast
  • Irish stew or Dublin coddle (sausage and potato stew)
  • Irish cheeses
  • Irish smoked, battered cod
  • Artisanal ice cream
  • A secret dish
  • Half-pint of Guinness, craft beer, or cider
  • Irish cream liqueur
After three hours, your tour finishes in the city center.

Great, But Too Much Food

We had a wonderful tour led by Sorcha. She expertly guided us to several places and we had some great food. Our one "complaint" was that there was too much food. By the end, we were over stuffed. Keep that in mind.More

The age requirement undoubtedly applies to the whiskey tasting part of the tour. Otherwise, there is nothing about the tour that would prevent children from coming along, unless the tour guides just don't want the... More
