From $13.94

Learn about Dublin’s turbulent history on this walking tour of the city’s Northside. Limited to 10 people, this intimate tour offers personalized attention from your guide as you stroll to see top landmarks including the Ha’Penny Bridge and the Great Irish Famine Memorial.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at Barnardo Square, next to Dublin’s City Hall. Before setting out on this walking tour, your guide introduces Dublin’s turbulent history and Northside landmarks.

Cross the famous Ha’Penny Bridge and visit the Moore Street Terraces, an important site in the 1916 Rebellion, and hear stories about the violent events that took place there.

On your stroll of the area’s cobbled streets, your guide points out two examples of Neoclassical architecture: the Custom House and Liberty Hall.

The tour continues with a visit to the Great Irish Famine Memorial and the Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship, commemorating the 80 million people that left Ireland due to hardship.

Your tour ends in central Dublin location.

Henessey was great!

The tour was a fun, free, and informative adventure through Dublin. A great way to start your Dublin trip to learn a bit of introductory history, funny stories and see some sites.

Hilarious and knowledgeable guide!

Rouri (i really hope I spelled that right) was hilarious, knew a ton about the city and entertained us with Irish history and self-deprecating humor for 2 1/2 hours. Great tour and would definitely recommend!
