      Excellent day trip!
Richard our driver/tour guide was amazing! He was very kind, knowledgeable, funny and entertaining! The stops were the perfect amount of time and I appreciate that he gave us suggestions of places to visit in Dublin.

      Brian of Paddywagon
My sister and I just returned from a day trip to the Cliffs and to Galway..amazing trip in huge part to a wonderful driver/ guide Brian. Can't say enough about what he did to make this trip memorable. He was an excellent driver, full of amusing anecdotes, and a history buff. Gave us a lesson in the history of Ireland Brian was an extremely cheerful man full of energy, even though I'm sure he must have been very tired. Kept the bus laughing, but was very attentive and patient as well. Brian is a asset to Paddywagon and definitely would use the tours again based on my experience today

      Loved the Horseback Ride
Tour was great! We saw the highlights of South/West Ireland. There is a bit of driving time on the bus but it’s a large country so that’s the only way to see as much as possible in a few days. My main advice is to bring a good rain jacket, rain pants, and umbrella. I was so happy I did. Our tour guide Danny was wonderful. One of my favorite things was the horseback ride through the National Park. Even though I was the only one on the tour who wanted to do it, he made it happen for me! The cliffs of Moher were magical and my favorite day was exploring the dingle peninsula.

      Worth the views
Though it was windy and rainy (not unexpected however), the tour was awesome. Beautiful views, a charming Irish lad for a tour guide (Alec) , time enough at each stop and the weather cleared after a bit and the views were even better!!! Did I kiss the Blarney Stone? Heavens, I don’t kiss and tell!

      10 out of 10 recommend!
If you are trying to make the most of your time here, this is a great tour! We flew it, got settled, and went to the pick up location. There were two buses for different tours, so just make sure you get on the right one! But the driver was really nice! We didn’t really get to see the upper lake because we didn’t realize how far it actually was and we got caught up taking photos and having coffee and ice cream which was all great! We reached the edge of the lake but had to turn back so we didn’t miss the bus back lol! The bus ride was a bit hot, the air was on but it was warm. To be fair none of us asked the driver to make it cooler either. Don’t be like us, speak up! We learned on later trips the drivers are completely ok with you asking! It was my first day here (May 10th) so I can’t recall the drivers name, but he too was definitely really cool!

Collin was an absolutely pleasant tour guide!
Booked this tour (the Small tour with only 13 people), and even had to move it to a day earlier to not miss a business dinner, and they made it happen so easily. Our Driver Collin was amazing! The weather wasn’t completely favorable but he rearrange our stops to try and help us have a better experience. We still hit some rain at the end of the Cliffs portion, but got to enjoy Bunratty with no ran. 10 out of 10 recommend!

      Never bored
My mother and I took a day tour from Dublin to Blarney Castle. We had such a great time. Our tour guide, Richard O’Brien, was fantastic. Personally, I loved his very frank and no nonsense attitude. The historical knowledge and personal stories he shared were engaging and left the listeners at the place of wanting to know more. As for the tour itself, it’s nice to get out of Dublin and explore the Rock of Cashel, Cork, and Blarney Castle. There was plenty of time in each locations explore but not feel bored. I would totally recommend this tour to others.

      A great full day tour
It was wonderful. No problems climbing for this 78 year old. The guide, Alex did a great job for us.He was very cognizant of our creature comforts. The best tour I have had on this vacation.

Frank, our tour guide, is funny and informative. The bus ride was not boring. We enjoyed each location visited but Giant’s Causeway was our favorite. We could have spent a couple more hours there. Castle Dunluce surpassed our expectations. This tour is worth it.

Even in the rain it was cool to see!
We are spending a week based in Dublin and we wanted to get out of the city to see more of Ireland—but not necessarily the super touristy stuff. We also didn’t want to spend 12+ hours on a bus. The half day tour was PERFECT. A beautiful drive down to the area and plenty of time to explore and take in the area. While it rained when we went (I mean, it’s Ireland…), it was awesome to still explore. Highly recommend!

      Amazing experience, great guide!
The ride there was pleasant, and our driver/guide, Frank, was knowledgeable and extremely polite. We learned so very much and had a wonderful trip. We also saw the dark hedges and Dunluce Castle.

Lovely 5 hour trip to Glendalough through stunning scenery
Lovely trip through the Wicklow Mountains to the 5th century monastic site of St Kevin - Glendalough. I'd been there 3 times before but it's always worth a return trip. We got to spend 2 hours at the site and had a lovely scone and coffee at a nearby kiosk. Our driver/guide was Brian who was very knowledgeable and friendly.

The tour started off well, with support for our 7 year old son who gets car sick sometimes, as they arranged for us to sit in the front of the bus.

But after the stop at Wicklow (which was gorgeous, by the way), the tour really became uncomfortable as the air conditioning had stopped working shortly after we had left Dublin. In the afternoon, temperatures rose up to 33C in the bus; it was unbearable. And there were only two bottles of water available in the bus.

The driver was difficult to hear and understand during the commentary, partly because of the accent, but mainly because of the bad microphone volume and the noise of the ventilators. A lovely and kind man, but not very proactive. After having complained about the aircon a few times, and even trying to help him fix it, we had to urge him to stop the bus and call the dispatcher to try and arrange another vehicle for the drive back from Kilkenny (which unfortunately for us was not possible on a Sunday afternoon). He did mention he got the same malfunction on the aircon the day before.

Also, he advised against lunch at Glendalough, as Kilkenny would have more choice of restaurants, but failed to mention we would not get there until 3 pm. Without food and little water and such heat in the bus, we felt very faint. Another kid in the bus actually threw up. We only had two hours in Kilkenny, which we mostly had to spend trying to get a good meal, so we did not get to properly see Kilkenny or the castle.

Lastly, the eta back at Dublin on the website was 18:00. We did not get back to the pickup point until 19:10. As we were traveling with a 7-year old, we would not have booked had we known we would not be back until 19:00.

Although the destinations were gorgeous and I would certainly recommend to visit them, I would not recommend going with Paddywagon tours. After this horrible experience, they never responded to my emails and feedback form. They clearly do not value their customers at all, which I think is unacceptable.

So, when i read about the tour on Paddywagon website, it was saying about Wicklow mountains, the set of movies like PS I Love You and BraveHeart and once that this information ON THE TOUR PAGE, is belivable that we supposed to go to these palces. But no, we don't go to Wicklow Mountains and either to the movies sets. I didnt understand why they mentioned about this places if we wont go there during the tour... I paid thinking that i would go to the mountains and to the PS I Love You bridge, but the tour turn out very dissapointing.

If was possible, I would ask my money back, because they say one thing on the website, but the tour is completlty different.

This was the first of 3 trips we took with paddywagon on our trip and it was great. Our guide Ciaran Healy was so much fun that we spent a good part of the trip laughing. He was very informative and had lots of knowledge to share. This made us want to book more trips with paddywagon and we did not regret any of them. Thanks for a good time.

Paddywaggon’s driver was very professional and knowledgeable. We had a smooth ride to Kilkenny in the morning where we were able to discover the town on our own for two hours. Then we went on through beautiful scenery to Glendalough where again we had two hours to explore the old monastery site and lakes. On our way back through the Wicklow mountains we even had an extra stop to look at “Lake Guiness”. Thanks for a lovely day trip!

Our tour guide Liam Malone he was absolutely amazing, he explained the history with such passion that we actually felt we were reliving each moment in history on top of that he was super courteous together with coach driver Owen made our day extra special and one to remember. Just to add he was so hilarious we were in stitches so I highly recommend him.
Kind regards Fabian and Barry from Gibraltar ☺️

Our driver/guide, Jackie, was awful. He drove the bus onto the sandy beach & got the bus stuck in the sand.
When a tractor pulled the bus out half an hour later and we were again on the motorway,, every other word he said was "F*CK"!!! (NOT feck, or frick.....F*CK!)
And he drove like a maniac to make up for lost time! It was honestly frightening!
Horrible experience! Jackie should NOT be driving a bus.

The tour was very enjoyable. The tour guide Killian gave us a lot interesting information about all the places we visited, as well as about the Irish history and music. He entertained us with some jokes and played songs for us. At the end of the tour he recommended us places to visit in Dublin. The bus driver was very nice as well, and the bus was very comfortable. We learnt a lot during the tour and had fun; we would definitely do it again.

The sites were great! Glendalough had history and was beautiful. Kilkenny Castle was cool to explore. We had time to tour it and grab lunch at Kyteler’s Inn.

However, we were not as impressed by our driver/guide. Unfortunately, after having two amazing tour guides on our trip in Ireland, we were underwhelmed. I don’t even think he introduced himself to us. He didn’t know how to operate bus air conditioning at first, leaving us in extremely warm air. He wasn’t sure where to guide us at first at Glendalough. His only suggestion on Kilkenny was the castle. Our previous guides also gave us a rundown before getting to our sites to optimize time. This tour guide would tell us when we got there, cutting down on time.

Overall, I would recommend this tour but only with a different guide

Our tour to Kilkenny and Wicklow was fantastic. Our host Brian was a great storyteller but still knew when to give us a break – a perfect combination. We learned so much about Ireland from him in one afternoon. The Wicklow area exceeded our expectations – the monastery, hills, lakes, pastures with sheep and finally, the town of Kilkenny.

The BEST tour I have ever been on!!! Our experience was completely made by Jackie our tour guide. The day was nothing short of fun filled adventure seeing the amazing sights and learning the history of the beautiful country of Ireland. He truly went above and beyond and made our whole trip to Ireland a once in a lifetime experience. The most memorable experience was swimming in the lake at glendalough all led by the amazing Jackie. This trip was truly priceless with lifelong friends made!
