About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- erinbS156VS0 contributionsBest tour guide-StevieHow do I even begin… The Paddy Wagon tour of Ireland came recommended for an informative and engaging way to explore the country and it delivered in every way. The part I wasn’t expecting was for our guide to feel like family by the end of our 3 day experience. Stevie gave us a trip to remember forever. His engagement with his guest exceeded any expectation. He made an effort to connect with each and every one of us. His banter and loving personality resulted in smiles and laughter for the whole day from all of us. He guided us on all the scenery and activities we encountered so we all were able to have a full impactful experience of Northern Ireland and show us a few extra local attractions that enhanced our trip! At the end of our visit we found ourselves at a tattoo parlour in Galway with matching shamrocks for 5 of us to remember this incredible trip( including my mum for her 70th birthday)! I have fallen in love with Ireland and if I am ever lucky enough to return I would book Paddy Wagon in a heartbeat and make sure to secure Stevie for the most amazing experience ! - CarmelD180 contributionsAwesome day visiting Galway and the Cliffs of Moher and everything in between !!Fabulous Day Trip experiencing the amazing Cliffs of Moher and Galway and beautiful countryside in between. We were blessed with warm sunshine and a truely wonderful tour guide Richard O'Brien. Richard filled our bus time with many really interesting stories and Irish info and went out of his way to manage our travel time well with fitting in a couple of extra short stops like Dunguaire and Bunratty Castles. Lunch at the Frantic Chef Restaurant was delicious. Thank you Richard for all your extra efforts ... not easy getting everyone back to the bus on time!... but you managed it !! and the rewards were much appreciated.Written October 7, 2024
- annecE9062GB0 contributionsBrilliant day at Moher CliffsThe tour was amazing and so was our driver Jay Jay. Every year I take a trip around the date of my husbands death. This year I scattered some of my husbands ashes on the cliffs of Moher. How beautiful it was. A scentimental day that I will never forget. I have to brag on our tour operator. What a great personality he had and so knowledgeable! Thanks again for a brilliant experience!Written October 7, 2024
- Ambassador4876820 contributionsDay tour to Blarney, Cork and Rock of CashelOur day tour was great! Alex, our driver and tour guide was very funny, friendly and very knowledgeable, sharing many wonderful facts and stories on the history of Ireland as it related to our different stops! The only challenge to the tour was the pick up location, which was a bit confusing as there were no signs, so even with the GPS, we still weren't sure we were at the right spot. Other than that, we had a wonderful time ,and Alex was an awesome driver and guide!Written October 7, 2024

- GoPlaces7430370 contributionsGreat price for visiting the castle and corkGerry was great at driving and adding commentary. He was friendly and on time. He made sure we had plenty of restroom breaks and he gave us a lot of time to explore. I do wish the itinerary included a longer time for Cork. It’s a city worth exploring all day.Written October 7, 2024
- veros2690 contributionsWonderful tours (giant's causeway, cliffs of moher)The tours were absolutely amazing! If you have the chance, book Richard! He's like Gretchen, knows everything about everything! And remember that, if you're late, the local cab company number is 70 70 70.Written October 7, 2024
- Getaway7828370 contributionsGo with Gerry on Paddy Tours! The tour was made memorable by our driver Gerry. His knowledge of the areas visited and his stories made this a wonderful addition to our vacation. I would highly recommend this tour!Written October 6, 2024

Richard O’Brien was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and his commentary and stories made the day extra fun. This tour was an excellent way to see these incredible sights. - Babs10180 contributionsGerry Rocks!!!!!We had the most wonderful day visiting the Cliffs of Moher. Our driver Gerry made the trip so enjoyable. He entertained us with stories and history of several high points along the way to and from the cliffs. We were fortunate that it was only raining lightly when we arrived, but it poured rain just as we were leaving. Gerry rates a 10/10…Written October 6, 2024
- 875trishr0 contributionsA must when you visit Dublin! After going through many reviews of tours to the Cliff’s of Moher we decided that Paddywagon was the best option for us. As a Travel Agent I had high hopes of finding a tour that we truly enjoyed and that I could pass on to my clients as a recommendation. Paddywagon Tours was everything we had hoped it would be! Fun, informative, punctual and so good that you didn’t feel like it was a long day! Richard was such a great guide and made sure we had the best time. He definitely loves his job! Thank you for the fun adventure. We highly recommend you and look forward to sending many clients your way.Written October 5, 2024
- V4509NUjonathanb0 contributionsGreat Tour, even better example of humanityTour was fantastic, our guide Ian was beyond knowledgeable and made the trip so much fun. He also deserves recognition for rescuing a lost hiker he saw stranded on the side of the motorway. The lady and her dog had gotten lost in the woods and wandered miles off course to the edge of the motorway. Ian spotted her in distress, retrieved her from the side of the road and returned her to her car just before darkness set in. Then he turned the detour into an impromptu tour stop to see an old church and Celtic high cross he knew of in the town. The day was both a wonderful tour and a wonderful illustration of genuine humanity, Ian (and Paddywagon) get 5 stars on both accounts.Written October 5, 2024
- 623shirlsb0 contributionsUnacceptable Driver Disrespect and UnprofessionalismPlease be advised that I was recommended to your company by a few friends that hat have been here several times. I went on the tour today to Cliffs of Moher. I’m extremely disappointed in a couple of things. The driver, JJ. he asked our entire tour group if anyone had any complaints to let him know as he dropped us off at Galway. i took a picture of the tray of the seat i was in to send to you. If he wouldn’t have asked, i wouldn’t have told him. As I Walked off the bus, i let him know about the dirty tray and said it was dirty and gross. (see attached). When we came back he said he couldn’t find it so we showed him. he said he could barely tell and have us a baby wipe to clean it.He asked again what we said when we walked out and made a big deal of it. And i told him we care about cleanliness. He proceeded to say Oh my God, and really? And some other choice words as to make fun of it. I told him I took a picture to send you) and that seemed to upset him. He then went to the front of the bus after everyone walked in and announced on the microphone… that we are “special” to give complaints of such things, after he had originally asked for complaints! That we are “lucky” to be on this luxurious bus that has spacious seats and treats because the “regular” paddy wagon buses are basic and do not have this. Still on the microphone statin that we did NOT pay 500 eu for such service for him to clean it and “you know where you can put that!” (on the microphone!) I have been traveling for an extremely long time and have NEVER experienced such disrespect and unprofessionalism. The way he handled this situation was uncalled for! Unprofessional, embarrassing to your company and paying clients, and irrevocably UNACCEPTABLE!!! How dare he say such things to me on a microphone for the whole bus to hear or to me alone period! In addition, he was telling the entire bus tour stories about his orphanage and how he was a troublemaker, eventually talking about alcoholism, and other things that no one on the bus was interested in hearing. He also continuously kept asking for todd, cash, electronically, etc. If he is worth the top, he shouldn’t have to ask for it. What kind of people do you hire? 2. The tray was dirty. these buses should be cleaned after every tour. I understand that it is not your company’s fault that they get dirty, but should definitely be cleaned, especially after covid. I can guarantee that you would not to put anything on this tray. 3. There was a long beeping noise for hours of this tour bus. He stopped to follow instructions from another one of your employees which extended our drive home and extended the entire tour by an hour. It turned out to be the air conditioner and that was figured out by one of the women on our bus. Do you not test these things on your buses? 4. Your company should have sent an email to the people who purchased the tickets that your restaurant does not take credit cards, cash only, PRIOR to the tour to have been prepared.Written October 5, 2024
- Jamie H0 contributionsThe hill with the thrill (IYKYK)It was a great and truly entertaining day. Liam (driver) and Mike (I think - our guide) were a blast right from the very beginning with lots of light banter, great information, all in a very comfortable coach. Twas a wet day so it was a true Irish experience. Great tour with enough stops and breaks to make it never too long in the bus. Well done!!Written October 4, 2024
- karlap1290 contributionsA good way to see a lot of Ireland in one dayIt’s a long day, but it allowed us to see a lot. I would have liked to have more time in Cork- it was too rushed. The tour guide and bus driver Jerry was fantastic. The sites were awesome - but just a long day - 12.5 hours.Written October 1, 2024

WARNING: The Connemara and Galway Tour from Dublin DOES NOT GO to Connemara National Park. It’s a tourist trap. If you are only doing this trip to visit the national park, please choose other company.
We started the tour in Dublin and went directly to a place named Cong. In Cong, they let us do nothing for 2 hours. After this, already in the afternoon, we entered the “Connemara region” which was only the name of the region, but not the park itself. They have “Connemara National Park” written in the itinerary to make you believe they will explore the park, but the only thing we did was passing by bus during half an hour on a road in that region. You won’t even get close to the main highlight of the park - Pine Island. After this, they took us immediately to Galway.
In conclusion, you will have plenty of time to visit Cong and Galway if those are points of interest to you, but you will not visit Connemara National Park.

I booked a tour, was outside of the Savoy as told , waited 45 minutes before another couple who were waiting also called and spoke to Paul, we were told he had been there and he had not. If he had been there I would be on my way to Galway and Conemara. Then we are told we can't get a refund unless we send an email. Extremely disappointing experience and service.

Do not book this trip ! We were on the coach for 9 hours out of 12 .. we had one and a half hours in Galway city so there was no time for lunch or site seeing and we did not stop at the lakes as promised .. the original itinerary was also changed without notice . A long expensive tiring waste of a precious day of our holiday !

Very disappointing tour! We arrived early to disorganized meeting place. Waited in the cold for 45 minutes for the bus. Instead of 8 am, left Dublin at 9am. We were told we were not going to the silver mine or see the sheep dogs. We arrived Galway six hours later at 3 pm, after making only 2 short stops, at a rest stop and at Cong. Six hours onbus with very little orientation and limited comments from driver, instead left radio on. Dumped in Galway with only 90 minutes to see the town with no guide and no orientarion to the town. We decided to pay for a trainride return to Dublin rather than endure another unpleasant bus ride. Train to Galaway would have been faster, cheaper and more pleasant. Avoid Galway tour w Paddywagon.

I recently took a trip withmy partner to Connemara and Galway, and it was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to our driver, Ian. The journey was not only scenic and beautiful but also incredibly fun and informative.
Ian's knowledge of the area is impressive, and he shared fascinating stories and historical insights throughout the trip. His humor kept us all entertained, making the long drives between stops feel short and enjoyable.
From the stunning landscapes of Connemara to the vibrant atmosphere of Galway, every part of the trip was well-planned and enriching. Ian's passion for the region truly shone through, adding a personal touch to the tour.
I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to explore this beautiful part of Ireland. And if you’re lucky enough to have Ian as your driver, you’re in for a fantastic time!

Poor from the start. Lost time after an accident, by the time we got to Galway we had less than 2 hours and didn’t see the bay. Back at the services we were told our return bus would be 20mins. We waited well over an hour. Then got dropped off a mile away from our starting point in Dublin. Not impressed at all. 13hrs on a bus for 2 hrs in Galway.

Had a chance to take two tours with Paddy Wagon this week. Enjoyed both thoroughly!
Our guide for Galway and Cliffs of Moher guide, Jackie, was great. So friendly and attentive, we had a thoroughly entertaining time the whole day.
My guide for Wicklow and Kilkenny, Richard, was also fantastic. Years of experience and knowledge made for an extremely informative and eventful trip.
I can’t say enough about this tour company. Reasonable prices and good times aplenty.

The tour was very pretty good. The guide was funny and we had various opportunities to take good photos. The group was small so we went with a small black bus that was quite comfortable.

I'm not sure exactly as we were picked up from their head office beside Busaras bus station but there is also a pick up point from O'Connell Street and their office could give you more details on this 😃
