- dorrst0 contributionsPrivate day tours - Cliffs of Moher & Giants CausewayWe signed up for 2 one-day private tours with Elegant Irish Tours. The first tour was from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher. The second tour was from Dublin to Giants Causeway. Both tours greatly exceeded our expectations. The places that we saw were amazing, but the 2 drivers we had (Mick & Richie) were so nice and friendly. They knew so much about the history of each of the areas we traveled through and we stopped along the way at interesting photo opportunities. They were so very flexible and gave us a so much as part of the tour than we would have gotten with the larger group tour. I highly recommend the private tour option if it fits your budget. The company is top-notch and communicated very well every step along the way during registration and prior to the actual tour(s) happening. Thank you Mick and Richie and Elegant Irish Tours for providing amazing tours and very friendly and interesting days for us!Written September 7, 2024
- bgbr0 contributionsMemorable dayI booked a small group tour from Dublin to Belfast and Giants Causeway. There were only 6 of us. James was our driver/guide, and everything was great. I'd love to spend more time at Giants Causeway, but it was a long day and a long drive. Also we all took 'black taxi' option in Belfast ('Titanic museum' was another option) and it was very interesting.Written September 4, 2024
- fayec7240 contributionsStill waiting for a refund! We signed up for a small group tour and ended up on a huge bus with a promise of a refund of the difference. Apparently our small group driver didn't show up! Well it is August and we have yet to hear back from Elegant Irish Tours after three emails. Very disappointing!Written August 24, 2024
- DrBobQA0 contributionsAvoid This Tour Company! There were many things wrong, but the most egregious is the driver stopped to pick up a hitchhiker! This was without the consent of 17 paying passengers and potentially put all of us at risk. Driver talked incessantly about his personal life history and the real estate prices in Dublin. He made offensive comments about migrants coming to Ireland. But he gave us little information about Glendalough before we visited, so we had no context for a very interesting place. On the way back to the ship he inexplicably put on religious music without asking the passengers. I found it offensive as did others I talked to.Written August 22, 2024
- pkislas0 contributionsWorst Tour EverHorrible Experience. Booked this through PaddyWagon Tours but it’s booked actually with Elegant Irish Tours. This is surely the worst “tour” I’ve ever been on. It was nowhere near what was described on your website. See comments below; 1. The information states we would be taken in style by a van with no more than 25 passengers. There were 8 of us stuffed into a taxi which smelled like smoke. The only air circulation was from windows. But when they were open they blew in the face of the passengers in the last seat. I personally don’t consider this being “taken in style”. 2. We were supposed to enjoy a panoramic view of Cork while our guide points out highlights. We did not have a tour guide. After we were driving for 20 minutes or so I finally asked where we were. Not at any time prior to that did he speak about anything we were passing. At that point I knew something was up. When we stopped I asked about this. Our driver admittedly stated he was not a guide and would try the best he can. He was called the night before to take us. He pointed out nothing throughout the day as stated in your description of the tour. Even if he would have said anything those of us stuck in the back couldn’t hear him. 3. We were dropped off in Cork for a few minutes, but really had no understanding as to why. We didn’t have time for lunch. He dropped us off in front of Carrolls gift shop. I want a refund for this tour. You should have contacted us the day before saying you don’t have a tour guide or a comfortable van (luxury). We could have chosen to go or not, but the company decided to stick us in a taxi with someone who has no knowledge of history or points of interest. Or maybe we could have been added to another tour? But no - we sat uncomfortably for hours. It’s really despicable.Written August 15, 2024
- Jpirving0 contributionsPrivate tour Cliffs of Moher & Giants CausewayWe did private tours to Cliffs of Moher and Giants Causeway. There was good communication from the office staff in arranging the tours, and our guide was Mick for both tours. Mick was punctual, courteous, friendly, and a wealth of knowledge. I will use Elegant Irish Tours again and ask for Mick when we return to Ireland!Written August 13, 2024
- Rebel20200 contributionsManage your ExpectationsTour locations were excellent but beware you may not get what you expect. Advertised was a small group bus with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a guided tour. We got a stuffed taxi (8 adults plus the driver) rather than van with no air, no commentary other than friendly banter, no water or Wi-Fi as advertised. Chris was great as a driver and got us to each location, but this was a taxi ride rather than tour. We still enjoyed the experience and would give the tour operator another chance.Written August 10, 2024
- allisonbF3903DR0 contributionsDan B and Elegant Irish Tours were the highlight of our trip!I recently took a private two day tour with Elegant Irish Tour company from Dublin to Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, and Dingle, and it exceeded all our expectations. Our group, which included a 10-year-old child, my husband and I in our 40s, and my parents in their 70s, had an amazing experience. Dan B., our driver and tour guide, was exceptional. His deep knowledge of Ireland and engaging storytelling captivated us all, regardless of age. Dan’s enthusiasm and passion for the country’s history and landscapes made the tour both educational and entertaining. His flexibility and attention to our needs were particularly impressive. He took the time to provide us with information and adjust the itinerary to ensure the tour was exactly what we wanted. His smooth and safe driving also allowed us to fully enjoy the stunning scenery without any worries. He absolutely made our trip! We wish he could have continued on with us for our entire vacation. The tour was perfectly tailored to accommodate our diverse group. The thoughtfully planned itinerary allowed us to explore each destination at a comfortable pace. From the vibrant charm of Killarney to the awe-inspiring Ring of Kerry and the picturesque Dingle, every stop was a highlight. I will admit, I was a bit skeptical since the booking communication is solely through email and not necessarily a “booking site”. However, the responses were prompt, professional and accommodating. Elegant Irish Tour company provided a wonderful experience for our multigenerational group, and Dan B. made it truly memorable. I highly recommend them for anyone looking to explore Ireland with ease and enjoyment.Written July 28, 2024
- canadianguy010 contributionsDon't waste your money - not a tour, just a driver that delivers you to places with no planningDid a private day trip from Dublin to Belfast. Lots of issues - Couldn't get a detailed itinerary before we left (just a list of key places that was in not in the order we did them). No time set aside all day for a meal (just snacks waiting for the next thing - I tried to pre-book a meal on my own and was told not too). No guide with us just a driver who delivered us to places. Vehicle was too small for our 7 people (not the vehicle in their pictures). No ability to customize the trip before leaving (I tried and they said no) but the driver kept offering new options during the drive that I hadn't done any research on to see if we'd like to do (Game of Thrones Studio, visit to Howth).Written July 22, 2024
- Q1201YBjillf0 contributionsAmazing Private Tours from DublinMy daughter and I three, private - 1 day tours from Dublin: Cliffs of Moher with Nick, Giants Causeway and the Titanic Experience with Mick and Blarney Castle and Cobh with Brighid. All three were excellent! If I could do it again, I would have more time in Blarney Castle (the grounds are stunning) and more time in Cobh which has a lot of history around the Titanic and immigration. We loved our private tours - even though they were long days - each of our guides provided extra stops and many additional areas of interest. I only had one small issue and that was with the office staff but that was resolved quickly.Written June 25, 2024

Booked the Small group Giants Causeway and Belfast tour directly through their site. Bus didn't show up, never contacted by the company with explanation. - pamh1410 contributionsNothing as advertised!!After their stressing for us to be on time to the meeting place, our group of 7 was left waiting at cruise ship for 50 minutes. One opted not to go by then. When after 50 minutes our vehicle had not arrived we were just put in a taxi and driver asked us where we were going. (Really, you are supposed to be our guide). They said we would leave early and beat most of the large cruise bus tours so the line would not be so long at Blarney Stone but of course that didn’t happen. Line was over 1 1/2 hours by then. Also, we did not receive the skip the line tickets as advertised and waited to get in. Upon leaving Blarney we went to our meet place but could not find driver we called him and had to walk around a parking lot for 15 minutes. After calling him again we finally located him. Advertised Wi-Fi, water and a commentary of the areas we passed. We received none of that. He spent the entire drive chatting with the woman in the front seat but those in the second and third row got nothing out of it. Went to Jameson and he went to the wrong place so we had to turn around and drive back through town to get to correct place. Driver was friendly but this was not what we paid for and not a good day. Avoid this companyWritten June 14, 2024
- Cyndi5550 contributionsA Bit of Confusion to Start ~ But Ended Well! There were two tours by the same company and neither awaited us with a black van from Elegant Irish Tours. One tour had NO vehicle and the other had a full size coach. Ultimately our "small group" tour to the Blarney Castle and Jameson Distillery was in the full size coach but with just a small group so we had plenty of room to spread out. The Blarney Castle and grounds were amazing and we enjoyed our lunch there. The Jameson tour guide, Ambroise, was excellent ~ we learned a lot, loved the tasting, and enjoyed our mixed drink at the end of the tour. There was not much narration about the other sites mentioned in the description (St. Finbarr’s Cathedral, the Shandon Bells, the English Market, River Lee, Charles Fort and James Fort) but the two highlighted venues were well worth the expense.Written June 12, 2024

I really liked this tour and I normally dislike group tours. Originally, I wanted to rent a car, so I could explore at my own pace but the price was crazy expensive. So we settled for this small group tour - and it was pretty good. After this, I don’t hate group tours as much as I thought. Our group on a Saturday was small (less than 25).
Jackie, the tour guide/driver, was awesome: funny and informative, and he clearly loves Ireland and sharing its history and stories with visitors. He’s also spot on with his food recommendations. We ate at three of the places he recommended, and the food was very different - but all very delicious.
It did feel a bit rushed because we visited so many places, but that’s normal for group tours. The 3 hour drive to and from Dublin was smooth and easy.
The pick up was a bit confusing - we actually got on the wrong transport, because different tour companies pick up at the same time and same place, and the other tour didn’t check tickets or names. It wasn’t until we overheard other guests talking about where they were going, that we realized we were on the wrong bus. This one has Elegant Irish Tour on the side, and Jackie checked our names. However he was about 10 mins late to our pick up (last pick up), so just be patient.
However, I definitely recommend.

There's not enough words in the english language to describe Jackie and the tour we had today. It was truly a lifetime experience. The humor, kindness and knowledge are unmatched. From the early morning phone call coordinating our pick up to the impromptu stops meeting donkeys and horses on the way that became friends, to the stories and music on the drive, I could go on forever but no one wants to read longer than I've already posted. Some sound advice is book the cliffs of moher small group tour, request Jackie and enjoy your trip. The views are incredible and Jackie amplifies them in a way that somehow matches the beauty of the sights. Worth every penny!

Jackie drives like a madman and uses colorful language - and he provides amazing detail on the history of this beautiful country. He kept the group on schedule and even threw in a bonus stop to see a round tower. This was superior to another tour we took where individuals were constantly late to the bus and took away from our time at various locations. We would definitely look to tour with Jackie again when we next visit! Cliffs of Moher were as good as advertised, we did the ferry tour and would definitely recommend this. Bunratty Castle was closed when we got there so we did not get to go thru that. Oh, and ignore Joanne from Wisconsin. While Jackie drives his bus like a sportscar, we never once felt unsafe.

The Cliffs of Moher were amazing. Definitely a tourist destination but totally worth it. The tour guide was entertaining but as seemed to just pick and choose what we were going to go or do for the amount of time he deemed necessary. I was disappointed I paid for a tour in a small vehicle with wifi included and a huge tour bus showed up. Overall would recommend but be prepared to just go and do as you’re told for the entire day and be prepared for anything….

One of the best small group tours I've taken in Ireland. Our guide, Jackie, was entertaining & informative. He made sure we experienced western Ireland as fully as possible in a day.
I particularly liked that he took us to a local farm-to-table style restaurant for lunch ( Russells in Doolin I believe) ... so much better than the cafés other tours have taken me to with their precooked food reheated.
I prefer small group tours (hate those big bus tours) & this one almost felt like a private tour but at a better price. Good value for sure.
And of the Cliffs of Moher were stunning!
Definitely recommend.

Such an amazing experience! The beauty of the environment was enhanced by our tour guide Jackie's expert knowledge and sense of humor. Jackie picked us up in front of our hotel at the exact time and off we went. He provided an entertaining narrative throughout the day that included fun facts of Ireland and information about our destinations. We had a fantastic weather day and because of that, Jackie pivoted to include an additional activity to see the cliffs from the water....spectacular!!! Then, he took us to lunch at Russell's Seafood Bar at the Fiddle and Bow Hotel. Food and service was top notch! Jackie went on o share tips for places to go near where we were staying in Dublin. We were traveling with friends and this tour exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds.

Pathetic services, no show by tour operator and no response to phone calls for 3 days
We booked for 5 people for this tour and were waiting 7 am in the morning at there mentioned pick up point.
Nobody responded to our calls from tour operator , it was reaching to voice mail.
We waited at the pick up point for 1 hour , pathetic of tour operator to book this tour and do a NO SHOW.
Will never book again with them as they don't guarantee your trip.
Waste of time and effort.

Wow! What a fabulous tour I enjoyed with Jackie!! I had been to the cliffs on a previous trip to Ireland but this experience was amazing. Jackie’s attention to and care of his passengers was lovely and coupled with his extensive local knowledge and willingness to share this knowledge in an entertaining way made this tour extra special. I love seafood chowder and thought I had tasted the best. Not any more! The best chowder was at fiddle and bow! It was delicious!!!
Jackie was organised and punctual. I felt like I was in safe expert hands. There was ample time to see all the sights throughly.
I cannot recommend Jackie’s tours enough. He was an excellent guide!

I was really disappointed in this tour. First of all, it is not a guided tour in any way, shape or form. Our driver showed up 20 minutes late to the first pick up stop and never during the entire day did he introduce himself or even offer much interaction other than when to be on/off the bus which made the entire day very awkward. We made one stop and he did not communicate very clearly what time everyone needed to be back on the bus so half the group came back 20 mins late which was very annoying for the rest of the group to have to wait when we would have also rather enjoyed the castle longer. The cliffs were beautiful but unfortunately the weather turned dangerously windy so we only got about 30 mins on the cliffs (which is in no way the tours fault) so it was disappointing to spend 4 hours on the bus and get 30 mins of time at the cliffs. Just something to be aware of if you’re touring on a day when the weather may not be great. The stop on the way back was fine but my group at that point was unfortunately more interested in the pub than anything so I just ended up in a bus with people who got hammered in an hour for the 2+ hour drive back. It really felt like a wasted day at the end of it which was unfortunate. The cliffs were beautiful and I’m glad I saw them but there was nothing “elegant” about this “elegant Irish tour” so if you want to see the cliffs I’d suggest renting a car unless you’re worried about driving the roads.

The days not even done and I had to jump on and give Jackie major credit for making today our absolute favorite day of the trip. We were made to feel comfortable and welcomed immediately. Jackie shared insightful history and recommendations throughout and made this day unforgettable. We did a large group tour the day before and this small group tour is more than worth the step up in price. Cannot recommend this enough 💜

We were on the elegant Irish small group tour. Our stops were the burran, the cliffs and St. John’s castle in limerick as noted by another reviewer. We too had Patrick for the tour guide. We had awesome weather and were able to see the cliffs from a boat as well as from above.

¿Alguna sugerencia? Gracias
