Just to clarify the itinerary: the stops listed aren't on every tour. You have a choice between a Black Taxi tour and the Titanic Museum. If you choose the Black Taxi tour, you'll see Falls Road, Shankill Road, and the Peace Wall, but you won't see Titanic's Dock and Pump House. And if you choose the Titanic Museum, you'll do the opposite: you don't see the roads and Peace Wall, but you'll learn about the Titanic.
When we booked the trip, we assumed all these stops were on the itinerary and we didn't know we had to choose a Back Taxi tour of Belfast or the Titanic Museum. We chose the Black Taxi tour. This part of the tour is very interesting and very sobering to realize there are still places where Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods are still separated (the Peace Wall) and some streets have gates that are locked at 7:00 pm!

The two groups meet at the Titanic Museum for a food/ bathroom break and then continue onto the Giant's Causeway.
When we went, it was very cold and there were high winds along the cliffs, which made it even colder.
We ate at The Nook, a little restaurant at the Giants Causeway. The food was very good, though keep in mind that lunch is NOT included on the tour: you get time to eat, but you have to pay for it yourself.

Dave (the tour guide) and Gerry (the driver) were very good. They played the movie "Belfast" on the way back and I'll admit to falling asleep during the middle, simply because it had been a long day.
Personally, I think this trip is WELL worth the money, especially considering the time and expense compared to seeing these things yourself.
And as other people are saying, be aware that this is an all-day trip: you meet the bus at 7:00 am and you don't get back to Dublin until 7:30, 8:00, or possibly later.

First of all, shoutout to our driver Paolo, and our guide, Noel. Noel kept the history entertaining and informative, and all of the stops were well worth it. I would highly recommend the black cab tour of Belfast over the titanic museum, the chance to experience the living history is not to be missed. Noel and Paolo didn’t rush us and tried to give us as much time as possible at each stop. Dunluce castle is picturesque. Giant’s Causeway is a lovely hike followed by a lovely meal and a pint. I cannot recommend this tour enough!! On it’s own the itinerary is a great way to see the north of Ireland, but the guides are what make the tour exceptional.

Overall, this was a very good trip with nice variety for a fair price (I think I paid about $100 CAD a few months before I actually went on the trip). It definitely was a lot to pack into one day, but it worked well for me as I really wanted to see Northern Ireland and there was no way my five-year-old son would have been well-behaved for 13+ hours. As such, he stayed in Dublin with my wife and because the itinerary was packed, it gives the whole family another day to explore more of Ireland.

The guide was very nice (I cannot remember her name but she has short red hair and used to teach English) and knowledgeable. The guides in Belfast who told us about The Troubles were the highlight for me as I have studied that era significantly. To speak to people who lived through it was great.

My only complaint is the lack of bathroom breaks (one in Belfast on the way up and one after 2+ hours on the bus on the way back).

I would use this company again but (not exaggerating here) would sit in the back and pee in a cup if required as it was brutally uncomfortable having to wait.

Hi, I am glad you had a great day, even though you felt like we should have stopped more. I am wondering, did you ask the guide for an extra service stop? Normally, if it is very urgent, they will try and stop as soon as it is safe to do so. Many people want to get back to Dublin as soon as they can, because you are right, it is a long day. If nobody asks to stop, we try to get everyone back as soon as we can. I´d love to hear more about your experience, so if you could please reach out to inger@wildrovertours.com, that would be much appreciated. The reason we do not have toilets on board is because it can get quite smelly during the 13-hour bus tours, i do hope you can understand our point of view. Thank you for leaving us such a detailed review and feedback, we do really appreciate this.

It was a good tour with beautiful sights. Our guide Rory was knowledgeable and friendly. He was a bit quiet at the start but engaged more as the tour progressed. The Titanic experience was interesting but 2 hours was not enough time to go through the whole exhibition at a comfortable pace. A warning/suggestion to skip the first part or parts that don't interest you so that you have more time towards the end for the sinking etc. Then you can visit the gift shop and toilet and make it back to the bus on time.
Don't waste your money on food at the Causeway Hotel. My meal was inedible and my complaint was met with defensiveness and I still had to pay for a meal a barely touched. It soured the whole day. Got back on the bus to find out another person had the same experience. Definitely go to the Nook instead!

Tour guide Kim and Driver Gerry!
Can’t say enough good things about you.
You guys are the TOP NOTCH Duo I’ve had given a tour yet. Kim’s warm announcement voice and knowledge of Ireland is second to none. Easy to understand for us who aren’t born to the Irish accent. Really took time and you can tell these folks love what they do and do it well!
This was our first tour of many
I learned so much but also got a taste of the warm Irish hospitality and recommended the best spots for pints and food while in Dublin.
The bus was modern and comfortable, lots of breaks so you can get food and stretch while covering so much ground.

Northern Ireland: from Belfast’s riveting history to the giants causeway walk and a bonus stop at Dunlas Castle this 13 hour tour makes a day feel so productive and really allows one to learn about irelands historical division but also just enjoy the costal bus art it’s the best of both worlds.
Now, in Belfast you have a choice of activity: Black Cab tours or Titanic museum.
If the weather is gorgeous like the day we went highly recommend the cab tour to really learn about Belfast and Irish history. The titanic museum is also gorgeous so either way you can’t go wrong.

It’s almost too hard to describe in words and justify the beauty of what you learn on the tour, but the value for a whole day tour is second to none. We are really glad we started our week long Ireland visit with your company!
We even went to the Celt for stew and a pint of Guinness after then got ice cream at Murphy’s. Magical day.

This day trip to Belfast and the Causeway was a great addition to our Ireland trip. We had no issues finding the pick-up spot in the morning and the group was always back at the coach on time. Lots of international tourists on the bus but the information provided during the tour by our guide Patrick was not spammy. He generally had a great energy and kept everyone in good spirits even when we got stuck in horrific traffic on the way back home. So did Owen the bus driver.
One big negative part is that I think the description provided by the tour organizers were misleading. First point being that as soon as you get on the bus you have to choose if you want to visit the Titanic museum in Belfast OR take the black cab tour. The trip DOES NOT include both. The listing also included lines like “Entry/Admission to Shankhill road”, “Enrry/Admission to Falls Road”, “Entry/Admission to Peace Wall”. These are public streets and places in Belfast and therefore should be worded differently. It’s implying that you are getting more than you actually are. Sadly we were barely able to understand our guide cab guide because of the thick Irish accent. Dunluce castle and the Causeway were brilliant. We were really lucky with the weather and had some bits of bright sunshine here and there creating a beautiful autumnal afternoon. We therefore felt like the 3.5 hour trip was worth it. Pat will point out plenty Game of Thrones shooting locations and give some great insight. Very friendly guiding duo!

What a great tour with Wild Rover Tours! In Belfast, the bus was right on time and loading was smooth and quick. The bus was clean, air conditioned, and had fast-charging USB ports at each seat.

Upon reaching Belfast, I opted for the Black Taxi Tour visiting sites and being taught about the struggle for independence from Britain's heavy hand, and "The Troubles." We saw the memorials and bullet holes and memorial gardens as well as the Revolution Museum with a great many relics, weapons, and a reproduction of a woman prisoner's cell. We visited the old Catholic church in the Protestant side, in which were held high-level, top-secret, meetings to find reconciliation. We went to several sections of the Peace Wall, and our taxi driver in a vintage cab had markers for us to sign the wall. The other half of us went to the Titanic Museum, a stunning building where they wished they had several more hours. The countryside was beautiful, and I enjoyed clambering about in the ruins of a crumbled castle embedded stubbornly to a cliff high above the Irish Sea. Then we were off to the Giant's Causeway! The morning clouds pulled back, leaving the sea a brilliant reflection of the striking blue skies! We hiked and scrambled and took amazing photos.

Our guide Murphy was kind, knowledgeable, and witty without crossing the line into ribaldry. He was a great storyteller, and sang a few verses, then led us in the chorus, of an old folk song "Sweet Molly McGee." So fun! He and driver Peter were wonderful. Peter was a very good driver and very pleasant and a hard worker, tidying the bus every time we got out. They managed to herd 36 kittens and get us all back to Dublin exactly on time!

When I return, I definitely will look for Wild Rover tours and travel with them again in a heartbeat! 5*s!

The trip was very nice! We started the day in a black taxi of Belfast, where a local taxi driver took us to the most significant murals and historical places in the city while giving some history explanations. Neverless, I would have appreciated to spend some time on our own in the city centre instead of waiting in front of the museum until for people who chose to do the Titanic visit came out. After that, we headed to Dunluce castle, where there is a magnific costline view, and the castle itself is also nice to see. At the end of the day we went to the Giants Causeway, a stunning geographic point that nobldy should miss, I highly recommend visiting it!! During all the trip our guide Connor has told us about Irish history in a really pleasant way, including jokes, interacting with the group making questions, playing music and an interesting video. He has been really helpful with any questions the group members asked him, we really appreciated that! The diver, Joe was also kind and friendly. In addition, he was always on time and made enough stops to grab some food and go to the toilet during the day. I highly recommend this trip!

It's a long day on a crowded bus but an easy & economical way to cover a lot of ground safely and efficiently.

My tour was sold out so be prepared if you are solo to be sitting in very close proximity to a stranger for a lot of hours.

I chose the black taxi tour of Belfast and was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately I was not lucky with my particular taxi driver. He seemed like a very nice man & certainly was a native who had lived through 'the troubles' & likely had all kinds of interesting stories he could have shared...but he was not a good public speaker. He seemed rather frail and shy & spoke in a very low voice which was almost impossible to hear. He seemed to have little energy or passion for the topic & to be not particularly interested in interacting with us. Likely a very good taxi driver - simply not a good tour guide. This is simply the luck (or lack thereof) of the draw & not within the control of Wild Rover. Other drivers around us were excellent & I tended to slide away from my group and listen in on others or just do my own thing absent narration. Hopefully if I ever go again I'll get a better driver & tour for that bit.

The Causeway and castle stops on the way back were great.

The tour guide and driver were very good.

I have absolutely NO problem with the frequent reminders and instructions to everyone to be on time in returning to the bus at various stops & applaud this company for keeping on it. It is beyond rude to keep 60+ people waiting and in order to keep long day tours like this going it's crucial to stick to the schedule.

Its an early start and a long drive back but if you are staying in Dublin but want to get a taste of the North of Ireland then this tour is perfect. In Belfast you have to choose between the Titanic Museum and the black cab tour and its a really tough choice as both are pretty iconic and well worth it. The countryside views and Dunluce Castle and the Giants Causeway are particular highlights. The guides don't seem to mention it but there is a visitor centre (National Trust) with a cafe and the entrance includes audio guides (and the shorter queue for the bathrooms is almost worth the entrance fee alone!). Our guide Anthony had a great way about him and shared lots of interesting and informative stories and Sidney 'the best driver' in the company (Warren might disagree 🤣) did a great job. All in all it was probably our favourite day of our holiday.
