A day to remember
Jun 2021
An incredible experience. It wasn't the nicest of weather, but right from the start the crew were upfront and considerate of people who weren't used to being on the water. Everyone booked on the tour got on the boat and from the moment we left Tobermory Harbour, it was just brilliant.

We made our way to the Treshnish Isles, spotting a few seals just as we approached Lunga. On the island, the puffins were amazing - so full of character, just going about their business a few feet away. We took a walk to Harp Rock, where we seen what must have been tens of thousands of birds covering the rock entirely. The sheer number of them and the sound from the rock was surreal. A very special place.

Then on to Staffa, where you can walk around to see Fingal's cave. The rocks have been treated with a non-slip coating so you feel quite comfortable walking around the edge of the island. If that's not your cup of tea though, you can climb the stairs to the top of the island and take in the views/see more puffins. When we got back on the boat, we were taken round to Fingal's cave and we pulled in close so that we could see it from another angle and hear the echo of the waves. The history of the island is really interesting.

Throughout the tour, the crew of three were informative, polite and professional - working with the conditions to make sure we had the best time. They were so thoughtful and well-mannered. Facilities on the boat were clean and fresh, and there were measures in place for Covid19 - with face coverings worn inside and optional outside (although I think everyone on the top deck of the boat had their faces covered to protect against the wind more than anything else! Certainly blew the cobwebs away that day! :) )
Highly recommend Staffa Tours. Wear outdoor clothes, and make sure your camera has plenty of charge! Thank you for a very memorable day.

Staffa and Lungs Tour from Mull
Jun 2021
Excellent day out on the MV Angus on a beautiful sunny day. Sailed from Mull to Staffa and lucky to see two Minke whales. An hour on Staffa then on to Lunga, with 2hrs ashore on that island. Lads were very informative and personally checked with each passenger to check everything was ok. Would recommend a trip with Staffa Tours.

If heading to Lunga just be aware the initial landing area is rocky and might not be suitable for all, especially if a little unsteady on your feet.

Great day for wildlife
Jun 2021 • Couples
This trip was great thanks to the staff on board. The 2 guys were brilliant. We had a very rough trip over to Lunga and after bringing up my breakfast and feeling like death we were dropped off on the island to see the amazing wildlife and in particular the puffins. The staff were really attentive and kept asking everyone who was unwell, how they were feeling. The trip to Staffa was great and we had a decent amount of time on both islands with a fountain of knowledge from the staff. Well worth booking but if you're likely to suffer sea sickness then book on a calm day.

Fantastic experience
Jun 2021
We did the Wildlife Tour from Mull to Staffa, spent an hour on the island, which was plenty of time to see Fingal's Cave (slightly treacherous rocks to navigate) and the very friendly puffins. We had seen puffins before in Iceland, but these were far more accessible and friendly, and a total delight and treat to see. The crew on the tour were charming, experienced and very kind. I thoroughly recommend them.

Puffin Parade
Jun 2021 • Couples
Booking was easy on line and the trip was superb. We joined on Mull and were dropped off on Iona on the way back.

The trip was well narrated with very helpful crew advising on what do do on the island and a short stop on our way to view seals.

Staffa was amazing geologically and ornithologically. The puffins being the highlight and the main reason for our visit. They show no fear and will walk to within a few feet of you if you sit quietly.

We could really have done with longer on the island - just chilling amongst the puffins! If revisiting we would take the trip that allows more time on the island.

Highly recommend the trip!

Not to be missed, outstanding!

We did 6 hour tour from Kilchoan to Staffa and Linda yesterday. Absolutely wonderful day. The boat was fast, clean and the staff very informative and helpful - especially when embarking and disembarking! We saw seals and bottle nose dolphins en rote to the islands which was an added bonus. This was our second trip to the Treshnish Isles, the puffins,, guillemots, razorbills, shags, fulmars and kittiwakes we’re all in abundance. The puffins always steal the show though. Breathtaking being able to sit among these beautiful birds.

A must-do when on Mull
Jun 2021
We had booked to go last year, so was so pleased we managed to go this year unfortunately the weather was unkind to us. The crew were were very informative, and helpful. We went to Staffa first, and walking was fairly easy and the cave was spectacular. Next we went to Lunga, from the boat you had to traverse about 200 yards of stones and boulders to get to the grass, which was pretty difficult if you had trouble with your balance and if it was raining. Once on the flat we saw lots of puffins, being sea birds they didn't mind the rain. Even with the bad weather it was a wonderful trip, and how the captain managed to get us onto the islands was a wonder to us all.

Puffin cuteness overload!!
Jun 2021
This was a dream trip for me! I had wanted to see puffins for a long time and this trip did not disappoint. We booked on the full day trip from Tobermory to the Treishnish Isles and Staffa, and we were blessed with the most beautiful sunny day and calm water. Lovely boat trip, we first visited Fingal's cave which was awesome and then continued to Lunga where we explored the island and came up close with hundreds of cute puffins. We also saw razorbills, rabbits, other birds and seals on the trip. Very much worth the money and was a fantastic experience.
