Wasantha was an amazing tour guide who made sure to make our trip a 10/10 If we are coming back to Sri Lanka we would 100% go with him again.

Wasantha was a fantastic tour guide and driver for the two of us. He went above and beyond at every opportunity and was incredibly friendly to interact with. He even helped me arrange and coordinate a surprise proposal for my girlfriend, truly fantastic experience. 10/10 would go with him again when we return to Sri Lanka.

We had a dream stay in Mahoora ! Everything is exceptional! The perfect location right on the border of Wilpattu National Park. The tents are well equipped, and the camp is very well laid out and maintained. The activities on offer are superb: dinner around the campfire, wildlife walks, tea tasting, cooking classes, ... and off course the safari excursions !!! Departing at 5:30 am to explore Wilpattu, our guide was brilliant. With 30 years' experience, he knows nature like the back of his hand. He spotted animals with impressive ease and took his time so that we could photograph them from the best angles. We saw two leopards, crocodiles, peacocks, deer, buffalo, birds, monkeys, bats... We loved the experience. A big plus for dinner around the fire with the starry sky, the sounds of nature. And the staff were very attentive to our needs and always ready to make the stay even more enjoyable. A big thank you to the whole team, very professional, discreet and always available and responsive. I 100% recommend this safari camp for your stay in Wilpattu, where you'll be immersed in nature.

Today we went on a 4 hour cycle tour throug the area of Habarana and of was just so wonderful! Our guide Asanka showed us lovely birds and we cycled through rural farm area. We visites local people and experience there way of living.. great time and at the end just a wonderful lunch ( so good jammie) and lady of the kitchen showed us how to make sambal, curry and coconot Milk Go for it if you can!

We have loved our first travelling holiday. We booked Rajindu Tours and Manju was our guide. He was brilliant from start to end. He collected us from the airport and was there ready and waiting for us with his sign. His car is comfortable with air conditioning and we always felt safe with him. His English is very good and he also speaks French, German etc. We sent him our itinerary in advance and we based our tour around this with a few changes where he suggested swapping activities around or adding stop offs in on the way somewhere. We wouldn't have seen these places without Manju! We met Raji at the end of our trip who drove us to the airport. We are very grateful to them for making our trip so easy and fun. We had an amazing time exploring Sri Lanka’s beautiful national parks and stunning beaches with our brilliant tour guide Wasantha Silva. This was our third trip with Wasantha and he planned the perfect holiday for us which included returning to some of our favourite spots and also visiting some wonderful places that were new to us too. The biggest highlight of our trip was seeing seven leopards in three days at Yala National Park thanks to the eagle eyes of Wasantha and our excellent Yala jeep driver Tharanga! We also enjoyed some incredible elephant sightings (along with lots of other amazing wildlife) at Udawalawe and Minneriya National Parks as well as at Gal Oya National Park, which is much more off the beaten track. At Gal Oya you can do a wonderful boat safari and we were lucky enough to see elephants swimming in the lake. We bookended our safaris with beach time at the beautiful Tangalle and Trincomalee beaches, making our holiday the perfect mix of wildlife adventures and sun, sea and sand! Wasantha’s love of his country, and particularly its wildlife, is inspiring and throughout our trip Wasantha went above and beyond to make sure we had an extra special holiday full of wonderful Sri Lankan hospitality and unique local experiences. We stayed at some of the loveliest homestays and friendliest beachside hotels, and on every safari Wasantha and our brilliant jeep drivers did their very best to ensure we had as many amazing wildlife encounters as possible. We are regular travellers and this really was one of our favourite holidays! We had an excellent walking and street food tour with Sri Lanka Day Tours. We picked the evening tour and I think it’s the best pick out of the two options. We did this tour after a 14 day Sri Lanka exploration and was thinking we have seen it all. We are so glad to be proven wrong. We saw completely different aspects of the country by doing this. We highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I have unexpectedly decided to spend our vacation in Sri Lanka. One of our friends who had previously visited SL suggested that we contact Mr. Upul as our driver guide. We were completely unorganised when we arrived in SL, so we contacted Upul a few hours before we left. He arranged everything perfectly, and his English was great. Wasantha is a very knowledgeable, kind and professional man and I would recommend him to anyone looking to have an adventurous and memorable stay in Sri Lanka. We started our trip in Negombo, where Wasantha picked us up - we were travelling with a 3 year old and he made sure our child is happy and comfortable throughout the journey. We then headed to Sigiriya for Lion’s Rock and village tour, then to Minneriya National Park for an elephant safari suggested by Wasantha - it was truly beautiful and our child loved it. From there we went to Kandy where Wasantha organised our time and sightseeing. After 2 nights in Kandy, we went to Ella - on the way visiting tea factory and Nuwariya Elle - Wasantha was kind enough to find us alternative accommodation last minute and we spent lovely 2 days in Ella in a hotel with a stunning view for the mountains (beautiful sunrise) and excellent staff. we then headed further south to Tissaharama where Wasantha recommended staying at a lovely, newly refurbished guesthouse right next to the lakes and buffalos. Our son enjoyed riding a scooter and seeing the buffalos from close, and we went on a nice local bike tour. The next day we spent at Yala National Park and were lucky enough to spot a leopard! For the final 4 nights, we decided to stay at a beautiful and peaceful resort in Tangalle, right by the beach, while enjoying fresh local seafood and long walks by the beach, which is stunning. Wasantha arranged a pick up for us to take us back to Negombo for our flight and on the way we managed to stop in Galle for some sightseeing and food. He also arranged an accommodation for our last night, very close to the airport and a pickup to the airport the next day. Wasantha and his family, plus all his friends that we met on the way were very kind and welcoming and we were very happy with the service provided by Wasantha. We hope to return to the beautiful island of Sri Lanka one day and meet Wasantha again!

We’ve just come back from Sri Lanka, spending 16 wonderful days enjoying the amazing life and sights that this beautiful island has to offer. It truly is a gem of a place, super friendly, a wide variety of fresh food and nice strong spices! The beaches were like paradise with crashing blue waves, swimming alongside turtles and stilt fishermen to boot. The lush rolling green hills and waterfalls added to the charm. We booked through Stubborn Mule travel who were amazing throughout the whole process and gave us an itinerary to remember. The trip was made special by one amazing man who was our driver, come guide, almost local celebrity, guru of nature, history, sport and the kindest most considerate person we have been fortunate enough to meet. A wonderful way of seeing Sri Lanka you get there in the Dark and watch the Ballon been inflated and take off as the sun risers the Pilot Justin was a very experienced pilot and very knowledgeable about the local area and wildlife. The Sri Lankan staff were absolutely superb and very professional ensuring a very smooth take off and landing.A wonderful experience we felt extremely safe all finished off with a glass of Fizz at the end
