George is the best part of the experience. The distilleries are great, and tasting whisky a fun activity, but George is the value you pay for. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and makes the whole thing come to life with great stories and his genuine nature. Would absolutely do this again, and recommend to any and all.

George knows alot about the Highlands. He pointed out many things and told us stories on the way to the Whisky distilleries. Depending on what distilleries are open for visitors and tastings that day, he selects what the best choices are (which is not easy with changing tour/tasting schedules). For us, the Cardhu distillery was open for a tour and then later Glenfiddich for tasting, which was phenomenal! He even stopped at several whisky shops so that we could look there because we wanted to buy a couple of bottles from distilleries that were not open and that we cannot get in the US. My husbands favorite part was the Glenfiddich tasting of a whisky flight of rare bottles. My favorite was getting to feed a Highland Coo a biscuit. They come right to him and they are so cute!!! The whole thing was customized and we enjoyed it immensely!

George was a fantastic tour guide and the best option to see Speyside distilleries. We stayed in Inverness and George picked us up from our hotel, took us to Glenfidditch, then a great bakery for lunch, off to Arbelour in the afternoon, and the Cooperage to close the day. George is friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and since I prefer private tours over being jammed into a bus with 50 people, I couldn't have asked for anything different. He is hands down the best experience for the money.

We had such a great time with George. Our trip was very last minute and we were lucky to find him available for a distillery tour. Even though winter was a low season he arranged the whole day perfectly. He was on top of communication before the trip which made things way easier.
He knows something about absolutely everything and was even able to help us with our second day in Inverness. Wether it’s Loch Ness or beautiful Highland Cows, he can help. Don’t be afraid to ask for his opinion or help in terms of things to do and see. He’ll even offer you advice for the small stuff, like airport/hotel transfers. I always find it reassuring to have someone who knows the area help with the basics.
George was a pleasure to spend time with as his love of giving tours really shines through. He wants visitors to appreciate Scotland the way he does. We hope to return in the future and wouldn’t hesitate booking with him again. Though he’s busy in the summer, so book early!

We had booked this trip with my wife as we were coming from Argentina to taste the best scotchs and it couldn't be better. There were only 2 of us on this tour which was really great. George, our driver/guide was fantastic and a lot of fun. He knew so much about whisky and Scotland scene and had a lot of anecdotes to share.
The highlight of the tour for us was seeing and walking on Macallan distillery and the tasting, of course. We also got to visit Glenfiddich and Aberlour distilleries, and the Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre which was added to the tour on the way. We loved visiting an old bridge from 17th century (Carrbridge) and the ruins of the Elgin's Cathedral. Amazing journeY!
Overall we had a great day and would recommend to anyone who is a whisky fan.
Thank you George!!!

Gracias George !!!

We had a great time with George on our tour! We were able to hit a few distilleries, learn a lot about whiskey, and have a lot of fun along the way. George made sure we were taken care of and worked to make sure we got everything in. Would highly recommend!

This review is long overdue. We visited Inverness during US Thanksgiving week. I had been looking on Trip Advisor for a guide and the GHD Clan Tour of Speyside Distilleries sounded perfect. At the time, George only had one review but the review was recent and positive. I took a chance and was so glad I did! It was off-season, so we were able to book the tour last minute and - because no one else had booked - it was also private. George grew up in the area and knew everything that visitors would want to see. He had been reading the Outlander books and, because I was a fan, was able to pepper in Outlander tidbits throughout the Whiskey tour. He picked us up at the hotel so we didn't worry with transportation. We saw a beautiful old coffin bridge and toured three distilleries in the countryside. He spent a full day with us and included a lunch stop and shopping. My only regret? I didn't book TWO tours with him and also do the Outlander tour. I highly recommend you spend the day with this authentic Highlander. Great stories, beautiful countryside and a knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed every minute and can't wait to go back. Book well in advance if you are going during travel season! Hey George - I still love those Heelan Coos!

George was an amazing tour guide and host for our day exploring the whisky distillery’s and sights. He went above and beyond for our group, showed us more than what is described and shared an amazing surprise! George was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we would love to go on another tour when we visit again! Highly recommend!

George is an exceptional guide who definitely went above and beyond in providing us an amazing tour of the distilleries covering Speyside! Compared to the more crowded alternatives, sometimes not run by locals, it was very refreshing to have George show only I and my fiancé around to not only the distilleries but other hidden gems but companies may not be aware of. Highly recommend him to anyone tired of the crowds and fast pace of tour companies and someone who actually want to hear from a local about the beautiful highlands.

Hi, Your Ad says this tour includes the Glenfiddich and Macallan distilleries but the itinerary doesn't include Macallan. Is that right?
