Jamie picked us up in Inverness for our tour of the Isle of Skye. It was a memorable day made especially wonderful by having such a knowledgeable, intelligent and engaging fellow like Jamie escort us. He really has a gift. He was warm and fun while sharing so much history and information about Scotland and the Highlands, we highly recommend touring with Secret Highlands!

Our guide from Edinburgh introduced us to Jamie. Jamie allowed us to custom our tour to Nairn. He added the perfect amount of stops which included stories snd folklore along the way. We had an amazing day Later he helped us organize or trip to St Andrew He introduced us to Cath who saved our day when we needed medical help All together the best experience in Scotland Thank you all for your kindness

Jamie specializes in more unique and out of the way tours. He has some pre-made tours but you can customize what you want. We did a day trip from Inverness to Skye with him and spent a whole day with him. He knew a lot about history, culture, customs and traditions, and folklore. He's very personable, easygoing, and funny and we ended the tour feeling like we spent the day with a friend. I'd highly recommend Jamie and Secret Highlands Tours if you are interested in doing a tour in the Scottish Highlands!

Jamie was our guide through Firebird Tours for our trip that we had prearranged and had some problems completing do to activity cancellations. Jamie did a fabulous job of coming up with alternative ideas and places to visit for our 2 day trip around Inverness, the highlands, and the Isle of Skye. Jamie's BMW van was very comfortable for our party of 6. He was an excellent driver, very knowledgeable and accommodating. All were very pleased and we highly recommend Jamie and Secret Highlands!!!

We went with Jamie on his Heros and Villans, and Whisky Galore tours. They were fantastic (and there was a lot of whisky!) Since we got to spend a couple of days with him and some of the sites overlapped, we asked him to take us to places he thought we should see. As a result, we got the real flavor of the Highlands from an insider. Jamie has vast knowledge of the area and is an excellent storyteller. Given an opportunity, I'd tour with him again.

Jamie is such a kind, wonderful man. He gave us a full tour of the highlands and Scottish history. And with his incredible humour haha! He is the man to trust to show you the good spots around, away from all the tourist usual places, and he knows all the secrets of the places. Plus he's wearing an awesome kilt. The tours were unexpected but truly amazing. We stayed at his B&B which was beautiful. We spent a week with Jamie going on different tours. We learned so much from him and really enjoyed his story telling. He is kind and very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!!!

We did the Heroes & Villains Tour and 2 additional day tours seeing things we wanted and Jamie’s suggestions. Fabulous! He is part historian, part storyteller. We also stayed at his B & B Doric House…lovely! Very affordable private tours.

Jamie was an amazing guide! We wish we had more days to explore with him with him. He was a wealth of knowledge, so kind, fun, and very welcoming. We did the Heroes & Villains tour and had an amazing experience. It was the perfect mix of exploring and relaxing. Our group was a mix of history buffs and people who love the mysticism of Scotland, and Jamie did an amazing job of covering off on all of our interests during the day together. We had a little rain at the start of the tour and Jamie was completely willing to adjust the tour if we didn't want to do the Fairy Pool hike. We of course were down - but I thought that kind of flexibility and attention to what we wanted out of the day was awesome. If we had more time or were in Inverness for a few more days - we would've loved to keep touring with Jamie. It's like riding around with your friend who knows all of the best, off-the-grid spots, non-touristy, beautiful spots. He's the best and created the most amazing experience for us. He even sent us a map the next day highlighting all of these great spots for us to check out on our drive to Skye, and hikes for when we got there. THANK YOU JAMIE!!! We will be back :)

Jamie is always willing to adjust the day according to preferences, interests, and ability. He also knows the best places for wild swimming!

The whiskey tour with Secret Highlands was by far and away the highlight of our trip to Scotland. Our guide, Jamie, was the kind of guy you wish you could hang out with all the time. He is a rare breed of utterly professional, funny, knowledgeable, and a great listner. At one point in the trip we mentioned castles and he said 'you like castles? OK, we'll do that next." It wasn't part of the tour, but he made that and the whole day catered to our interests. He was phenomenal. I won't go back to Scotland without making sure to give him a call first.

A friend and I booked a private tour with this company, and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We had a fantastic time, from the sights to the food to the company, it was an all-around delight. I would definitely recommend Secret Highlands to anyone, full stop.
