I had yet another great tour with Timberbush Tours back in the summer. Ryan is a great guide, passionate about what he does and always ready to offer a super informative anecdote about Scottish history/culture or just a joke. I had another tour with Ryan a couple of years earlier (The Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan Castle) and I will definitely book another one soon. This tour included a visit to the majestic Dunrobin Castle and the lovely northern route all the way to John O'Groats. I cannot recommend Timberbush Tours more. Have great memories from these trips.

Visited all these places recently. Thought the person at Dunrobin Castle entrance was a bit po-faced, miserable and not very welcoming, but the grounds and the artefacts were brilliant.

We took this tour with Martin who was an excellent guide with exceptional knowledge of the highlands. The tour was perfectly paced with plenty of rest stops and stops to take magical photographs of the Dunrobin castle, John O’Groats and other highlights of the highlands. This tour definitely over delivered on all fronts - thanks Malcolm and team.

Brilliant trip, Ray our all round guide was superb, his knowledge of all aspects of the area, the history, the music played, just his general chat. Comfortable bus and gives you the chance to see the sights, even changing itenerary slightly because of weather conditions. Highly recommend. We also did the Isle of Skye trip with Timberbush. Couldnt fault any part of either of these trips. X

Was fortunate enough to try this day trip. Basically I wanted to go John o groats and thought I’d give this a whirl. How lucky I was. This day trip is absolutely superb and a credit to timberbush. Skye is amazing and I highly recommend going but this is no second fiddle. I am generally lazy on reviewing but I really couldn’t have been happier with this gem. If you get Malcolm as your guide then you’ve hit tour guide jackpot. Impossible in my humble opinion to be bettered as a guide, simply perfect.

The tour commentary by our guide Ray who was knowledgeable and passionate about Scottish history enriched the experience. His choice of music was atmospheric and enjoyable. This was a long tour in which the highlight was Dunrobin Castle. The falconry display was a welcome extra. Obviously, as a visitor, a trip to John O Groats is hard to resist.

Fantastic trip up north! Ray was a great guide, very informative and quite dramatic retelling of the stories. Loved stopping for some ‘hidden gems’. Great added bonus of having themed music along the way. Being a non driver this was the best way to see this stretch of Scotland. Just enough time at each stop to balance seeing what is there and seeing the most sights. Dunrobin Castle is well worth a visit. Beautiful scenery. A long day but enough short stops to stretch the legs. Covid-19 restrictions managed well. Great day out!

Well, what can I say? What a brilliant trip. Our driver/guide was Ian. He was brilliant! He kept us entertained all day & told us lots of extra bits of information that they wouldn't have learnt otherwise. He even tried his best to find some "hairy coos" or "shaggy coos" for our daughter! We visited Loch Fleet first & saw seals! We then visited Dunrobin Castle. Well worth a visit. John O'Groats was good, with time to have the usual photos & lunch. We had many other stops along the way & we even saw salmon jumping through the water. Thank you Ian, were brilliant!

We would have loved to have gone on this tour and were very much looking forward to it however it was cancelled at the last minute which was very disappointing. I completely understand that the tour must have minimum numbers to operate however when we have had similar experiences with other tour companies, we’ve been pre-warned days in advance that a tour may not operate, however here we were given less than 24 hours notice. The worse thing is that the tour company took payment from my account 24 hours before the cancellation, surely they knew at this point the tour wasn’t going ahead!? The tour company did offer us alternatives which unfortunately didn’t suit and we did get a full refund however we did then have the stress of changing our plans at the last minute. I do think the company should keep their clients in the loop more if there are low numbers on a tour and not be so blasé about cancelling. I’m sure the tour is great but if you do book, have a back up plan just in case!

Hi sms1992, I'm very sorry you tour was not unable to go ahead. We do try to keep our tours live in the booking system as many people book last minute, we would certainly not charge anyone unnecessarily. I will pass your feedback on to our Operations Team. All the best, Amy
