- abroadstudent23500Best way to see Scottish highlands! The trip was incredible!! We got to see so many stunning Scottish landscapes and our tour guide informed us of so much of the history and culture.
- Veganishh0010/10 tour! This tour was fantastic! Kev was a truly wonderful tour guide - very friendly and knowledgeable with many interesting stories. There were a good amount of stops so you didn’t feel like you were on the bus too long. Highly recommend anyone travelling through Inverness with a day to spare to book this excellent tour.
- Jeduthun Z00Inclement weather but an amazing day!The weather was absolutely miserable in Skye - nearly zero visibility and winds and rain that seemed to be going 100km an hour! We didn’t get to see the Quiraing in its full glory or even the Old Man of Storr and a few other mountains BUT it was still such an amazing experience and tour and a lot of it was because of our guide Helen. We loved her energy and she gave wonderful anecdotes and stories about Scotland. Really enjoyed her stories about Nessie and the folklore. Additionally, as someone with ridiculous US student loans to pay for, I also really appreciated that she gave us a few pointers on what’s not worth spending our money on 🤣 Even if the weather was not ideal the places we got to see were still so breathtaking and that’s just a testament to how beautiful this country is.
- abbymN2689HA0010/10 would recommend!! Helen!!Phenomenal tour of Skye and the Highlands - followed our unreal tour guide named Helen, a gifted story teller and historian that made the trip unmatched. Would rave about her and this tour to anyone.
- Glminton00Gem of the Highlands - especially tour guide Helen! My daughter and I were on a trip to the UK and a friend told us to visit Skye. We knew very little about the area so found this tour on Trip Advisor and felt truly lucky to come across such a gem! Our tour guide, Helen, was absolutely brilliant. She’s engaging, funny, and so knowledgeable. It felt as if she was our advocate in seeing every beautiful and interesting thing that the Highlands had to offer, while giving us fascinating historical context along the winding, scenic drives. For all that we got to see and experience that day, this tour is an unmatched deal.
- DeedeeDC00UnforgettableWe will never forget this wonderful trip through Lewis, Harris, and the Outer Hebrides. Our little group visited fascinating historical sites, stunning landscapes and gorgeous beaches, learning about Scottish history along the way. Everything about Rabbie’s was friendly, organized, and well-planned. Helen was an expert guide who made long drives feel short with her stories and local song choices, and we felt like we were leaving behind a friend after the three days were over. My son was the only kid on the trip, and Helen was great with him. We highly recommend this experience and hope to take a trip with Rabbie’s and Helen again someday.
- phyl5100Fantastic TourI did the Isle of Skye tour with Duncan as the driver/guide. Duncan was phenomenal! His knowledge of the language; the culture; the music; along with the plant and wildlife brought a great insight to everything that we experienced. The Isle of Skye tour itself is a long day at 12 hours but it is worth it if you wanted to experience the beauty of the island. Every turn of the road has a view that takes your breath away.
- Katie S00AmazingMe and my partner had such a good day, can’t thank you enough, travelling Scotland has been amazing and this is in the top 3!!
- SimonW65800Excellent experience with wonderful & thoughtful service by HelenGreat and unforgettable experience, it’s amazing sightseeing and wonderful and friendly services by Helen
- TreacleBeak100Over the sea to.......Had a fantastic all day trip with Duncan at the helm. Great knowledge and story teller and an excellent driver with his partner Mercedes, especially on some of the hairier roads. Lots of knowledge, many Dad jokes and frequent stops. Highly recommend.
- 340sophieh00Great day and learnt the historyWe was met by Alec who welcomed us onto the bus. The journey was fun and entertaining, he gave us lots of information about the loch Ness and the stops around it was perfect. We really enjoyed the experience and got to go on a boat around the loch. Will definitely recommend doing this tour 🙂
- BarbaraG266300Enjoy the view 😉 let Elle take the wheel! If you're researching for a cruise excursion alternative or just dont want to drive in the Highlands, contact Elle Tyler from Rabbies. History proficient. Super sweet. We arranged a private hire from cruise for our wish list: a Clootie Well, Culloden, Loch Ness and Singleton. She thought of everything and when she pulled out her picnic basket like Mary Poppins with hot tea/ coffee and snacks, we were blown away, especially on the very rainy day (worst rain in area in 40 years, even Singleton closed early for flooding). She even brought us to the smallest gin distillery in Scotland, Great Glen along Loch Ness ... so glad we did. Besides gin, we bought handmade tartan Nessies for all the grand-girls. A hire is a great idea ... enjoy the view!!
- markmS7726CE00Couldn't recommend moreAmy was a great guide. Very knowledgeable, yet the experience was memorable from feeling connected to the land and culture.
- JDevice00Wonderful day in the HighlandsWe had a wonderful day guided and driven expertly by Amy, who had a huge and wide-ranging knowledge of the area which she shared beautifully. She managed to tell us about the history, flora and fauna of the areas we were passing through while driving safely and courteously, and even shared a few pieces of music which perfectly complemented the stories and places. This part of the world is just stunning, and Amy was an excellent guide.
- shynades202300Excellent TripWe had an excellent time yesterday with Gregor. He was very knowledgeable about all the places we went to and he was patient with some of our group who move a bit slower. The sights were great and the timing at each place couldn’t have been better. There was a fair amount of driving, but we had plenty of chances to stop and look around. Thanks again!

You cannot go wrong with a Rabbies Tour- we did the 3 day NC 500 out of Inverness with James as our guide and he was amazing. He did a terrific job when challenges arose, he accommodated people’s wishes for the trip & he did an amazing job navigating the tricky single track roads. The scenery is stunning and it was truly the trip of a lifetime!

We had the most wonderful 3 day tour of the NC500 coast. The scenery was out of this world, the stop offs beautiful, the history thought provoking and rich, the storytelling sublime and our driver extraordinaire was Kev. Kev must be one of the most generous, enthusiastic and fun tour guides in Scotland. This is the first tour that we have done in Scotland and we were blown away by the service of Rabbies Tours. We were fortunate to have lovely weather so the visibility was delightful. I cannot recommend Kev and Rabbies Tours highly enough.

Seana kept us entertained with her fokelore stories, her knowledge of geology, flora and wildlife and her enthusiasm of her beloved area and Scotland in general.
The tour was wonderful, saw so much in a short time. A great way to see and experience it if you are nervous about driving the route (I was). Rabbies booked my accomodation which was excellent.
Covid measures were excellent
Thank you Seana, it will stay with me forever

The natural beauty revealed to us on the NC500 tour was unsurpassed by all previous travels made by this octogenarian and septuagenarian wife. Care and consideration displayed by Helen Sim, our tour guide, was faultless. Her encyclopedic knowledge of Scottish history and culture added so much value to this experience. Her humorous anecdotes entertained our group. The unanimous applause given at end of tour reflected the appreciation of each participant. Well done Helen and thank you again.

This was a brilliant tour of the NC500. Weather was varied, but we made the most of it. Our guide and driver Willie was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Willie made sure we were able to take advantage of any great photo opportunities, which there were several. We saw so much in such a short time. Rabbie’s booked the accommodation in advance, which I was happy with. I’d definitely recommend this tour with Rabbie’s.

I hadn’t heard of the North Coast 500 tour before booking but it really appealed to me and I am so glad I did book it. It is truly unmissable and offers stunning scenery, I cannot emphasis this enough. You travel from Inverness to the west coast following the coastal roads all the way around the tip of the UK back to Inverness. You will not be disappointed!
We had 14 people in our group with a fantastic tour guide/driver (Murray), who had the perfect temperament, love for his country and for the job which shone through! To be able to drive over 500 miles, keep up the patter and point out places on the map above his head, he was excellent. We stopped regularly for the toilet, photos, refreshments, lunch. He dropped us off at our hotel/B&B and collected us in the morning.
The only downside to Rabbie’s Tours was accommodation, as a solo traveller, I had asked to be placed in the same accommodation as the majority of the group, they were unable to do this and I booked my own accommodation (which wasn’t hard to do) but I do think that they should give more assistance to solo travellers, as they make up a huge proportion of travellers today.

We took the tour with Emily and it was amazing! I could talk at length about all the things she did right (apart from being hugely knowledgeable, passionate and entertaining), but suffice it to say that even my usually critical German mind could not think of a thing to improve! Full marks. I'll be checking for a Rabbie's option from now on before looking at any other tour operators.

I plan on taking this tour with my daughter in June. We would like to be dropped off in John O'Groats. Is that possible? We plan to take a day trip to the Orkney's and don't want to go all the way back to Inverness until after that.

I would love to take this trip either solo or with my 5 year old boy who atm only looks at his games in house and takes meltdowns on the thought of going outside! I cannot believe these kids ðŸ˜ðŸ˜©
This would be the perfect opportunity to get him out and see the scenes and wildlife out there...we have a beautiful county and I cannot wait to join on a tour.
Can I ask what beaches we will be stopping off at? Also is accommodation included for solo travel if I decide
My boy might get bored if he is the only child on the trip at that time.
Thank you and I cannot wait.
Oh...what month is better this year for weather situation would you say?

I'm unclearas to the final day's dropoff point in case I wish to stay longer. It does not appear to be back in Inverness - am I right to think this?
If the party is so large do you plan to use one large bus or use several small vans? thanks.

The drop off point is the bus station in Inverness which is the same as the meeting point for the tour. You will be given the address of the bus station, it is in the centre of town, not far from the railway station.
Group sizes are usually 16. Speak to the tour company if your group is bigger than this.
