Well kept aquarium lots to see
Not sure if those leaving 1 or 2 stars have been to a Sealife Centre before? Yes they are pricey but you are paying for the upkeep and conservation of the animals too.

We all commented on how well kept the tanks were too. Lovely to see.

We've been to a few SLCs over the years, this had some different species we've not seen before and the otters are adorable.

Cinema on Level 1 is currently closed due to C19. Level 2 is café which is huge but was closed as we went at the end of the day (to be expected). Level 3 is a lovely view point on the roof you can see for miles across Loch Lomond.

Took us (2 adults, 2 teens) 50mins to go round then 20min in gift shop to decide which cuddly toy to add to the collection at home that makes Hamleys look tiny in comparison 🙄

Poor value for money
Jul 2021
The aquarium is nice enough, but it's very small and 30 - 60 minutes is more than enough. It cost over £40 for our family of 3 and compared to other attractions, it's not great value - it doesn't take long and there's not that much else to do at Lomond Shores to fill the rest of a day.

There isn't much information in the aquarium itself which is disappointing. We saw lots of fish and sea creatures and have no idea what they were or anything about them. There are a few screens with info on a loop, but these are located away from the tanks. Even some basic labelling to tell you which species would be a good start.

You get a guide book but it doesn't have any info either.

Expensive and not worth it.
Jul 2021 • Family
Not worth the money.. £15 an adult ticket with additional VAT so £32 for 2 adults and 1 toddler .. in and out in 30 minutes. Thankfully there’s a local park and small beach area that saved our day. There’s very little to see. Don’t waste your money unless you get some sort of offer for far less money and have other things to fill your day.

Disappointing
Jul 2021 • Family
We have been before, albeit a few years ago, and unfortunately we won’t be returning. A lot smaller than it used to be and no longer worth the ticket price in my opinion. We went up and down in the lift and circled a few times convinced we must have missed a section. A day out turned into an hour out, most of which was spent looking for the bits we thought we must have missed. Sadly I would no longer recommend.

Overpriced
Jul 2021 • Family
This has got to be the quickest Sea Life Centre we have went round in a long time.
It’s overpriced I feel and the cafe has changed its prices. Hot dog £3-75! Used to come with tortilla chips not now.
Sandwiches are pricey too.
The slush drinks come in a big bottle which is £3-50 and far too big.
They need to rethink the size as kids are getting way too much juice in this size.
Staff as ever very pleasant and helpful but needs a few tweaks in its cafe a wee bit more variety would be good and cheaper prices.

Disappointing visit and feeling the booking slot was for nothing when inside
After around one year away of any activities to do with the kids, we wanted to visit the sealife centre in Loch Lomond.
We will thinking that the fact to book the slot to visit was for the centre to allow the visitors and the staff to be safe and have a very enjoyable visit, but was quite disappointed to see it wasn’t the case, the first and last time we came, before the pandemic, was exactly similar as what we experienced today, same amount of people in each room and some space with to much people and I think the worst part of our visit was the area where kids can touch and understand the sealife world, the young girl didn’t feel interested to exchange with the public,, compare to the guy who was there before her and unfortunately for us going to his break, she was too busy to keep the place dry, drinking her coffee and touching her hair and when the distance was more than 2 meters, we approach the stand and be ask to go back queuing, as it one family at the time, but we hadn’t even left the stand when she said to the next people in the queue to come to the stand.

Worth a visit..... but pricey!
Jun 2021 • Family
Pleasantly surprised having read some bad reviews. It was well done and enough to see for an octonauts daft 4 year old for 2 hours including a stint in the cinema (where octonauts are showing on repeat) and a cafe trip. It was expensive though even with booking online in advance where tickets are cheaper! But totally comparable with other similar places. The meet the creature chance to meet an octonauts character was great, and the touch pool. Definitely good for young kids.

Good morning out
Was interesting although the venue is very small. Great for kids who may get bored quickly - there’s a touchy-feely section where you can “pet” the creatures.

Hi thanks for your review, its good to hear that you had a good morning out. We might not be the largest of aquariums however we do have a large number of tanks displaying a large range of creatures. Its great to hear that your children enjoyed their visit we have recently introduced some new quiz trail and the new interactive rock pool so its great to hear they enjoyed those elements of the visit.
