Touring Scotland by public transport, we had an extended stay in Inverness due to Glasgow being shut down by Covid. We looked around for a local tour operator for a last minute booking and found Rabbies. We were attracted by the fact that they used 16 seater minibuses (reduced to 8 for Covid) and their poilcy of "if you book you travel" They will run a tour for just 2 people whereas most companies would cancel due to insufficient numbers.
We booked two tours with them - Applecross and Skye. Applecross was the most spectacular visiting areas wll off the normal tourist track. Super drivers, informative commentaries and good planning make these some of the best trips we have been on. Plenty of toilet stops and stops for photos. Lunch had been booked for us in Apple - a superb meal. All in all two memorable days.

Bealach na Bà pass was absolutely stunning! We were blessed with superb weather and visibility across other areas including the outstanding Sisters of Kintail and Torridon and had a lovely seafood meal at the Applecross Inn by the water.

The transport was very comfortable for my senior parents, with great visibility from the bus, even though we had loads of opportunities to stop and take pictures!

Helen, our driver and guide, could not have been nicer, nor more enthusiastic. She was very knowledgeable as well as very kind and thoughtful to the group, even recommending places to eat in Inverness and other things we could do during our stay. A credit to Rabbie’s!

This was the second time I've personally done this trip, and there will definitely be a third! Absolutely wonderful trip! 5 stars!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Rabbies tour, guided by Kevin. It was a fantastic day out and we got to see some of the most beautiful sights in Scotland. Kevin was very affable all day and made sure we had a great time with his insights and good humour.

I have done many Rabbies tours from Inverness, and the Applecross and Torridon tour is definitely the best.

Amazing viewpoints in the Highlands and the west coast, excellent food with a fire at the pub stop in Applecross. You may even get to see a or some red deer and highland cattle. Great woodland walks and waterfalls. Excellent bendy mountain and coastal roads and the good thing is your not driving, so can sit back and enjoy the stunning views and enjoy the viewpoints at the top for photos.

All our tour had done Eliean Donan the day before (which is definitely worth the visit also for the photos, even if the main building/cafe is closed during winter, you also see a otter.) So our amazing, informative tour guide Gail kindly took us on a detour to Rougie Falls and Strome castle which was excellent.

Great value, 5***** tour, friendly tour guide and some of the best views you will ever see in Scotland.

Great tour with Paul. To start with, we booked this tour expecting others as well. To our surprise, it was just us as it wasn’t very busy at that time. Hats off to Rabbie's and Paul who didn’t cancel the trip and chose to make this experience almost exclusive and personal for us.
Paul is such a brilliant tour guide with knowledge in almost every domain, leave alone Scotland! He gave us so much history and information about Scotland. He is also very inspiring and a decent fellow. Glad to have met him. Highly recommend this tour!

Rabbie's is amazing. Definitely book with them! I only booked this tour as their were limited options, but i was so glad i did! Applecross and Torridon are the best views of the highlands! This is more scenic than skye and without all the tourists. The best tour from inverness you could go on!

Fantastic tour with a charismatic guide. It was thrilling to travel to the top of rugged mountains, delve into a forest, view amazing scenery. We felt we had experienced a privileged insight into the natural Highlands.

Shout out to Dave our driver/tour guide. He did a great job trying tow make the tour enjoyable especially when the highland weather was not cooperating. On this tour we saw the great landscapes of the western highlands, stopped Eileen Dan castle and had a great lunch at that the Appleton Inn. Expect to travel about 250 miles.

Well on another miserable rainy cold day, 3 brave souls booked this tour with me traveling solo. I believe our guide was Duncan who sang songs and played his whistle. The weather changed on a moment of notice during the whole tour making it more interesting. I expected Isle of Skye to look like the nature and views we experienced on this tour. We came across wildlife with many highland cows roaming around and also some deer which we watched from the distance. Scenery is breathtaking and the pub at Applecross served delicious fish and chips. If you are interested in beautiful rugged highland scenery, then book this tour! I cannot wait to come back and take another one.

Thanks so much for your lovely feedback! I agree the landscape around Applecross is simply breathtaking even in the rain and cold. We are glad you had such a great day and enjoyed Duncan's entertainment, too. We hope to see you on another tour again soon! All the best, Susan
