        More than worth it!
Martin provided an incredible experience for my family. From a prompt scheduled pickup at our hotel in Edinburgh to an amazing tour through the Scottish highland and Glasgow, every aspect of the experience beat expectations. We were privy to an insiders view of the beauty and history of Scotland with stops in numerous, incredible, local spots.

        Beautiful, Engaging, More than Expected!
The opportunity to see Scotland from the point of view or hear the old wives tales from a true Scotsman was worth every moment. We saw amazing castle heard wonderful stories and even had moments as family to explore at our leisure…oh not to forget the highland cows! There was no pressure to rush, George allowed our family to walk about and pace ourselves to really enjoy every visit. He even brought us to a local eatery which has award winning fish and chips. Lunch is not eaten until about 2:30-3:00. George provided waters and biscuits but if you need more before lunch, some snacks are encourage to bring along with you. We highly recommend this tour!

Perfect tour for those who want a “taste” of Scotland in a short time.
We had limited time and chose a one day excursion from Edinburgh to The Highlands. We booked through the Viator app and paired with our tour guide Martin with (E2G Tours Scotland). This tour encapsulated and highlighted some of the best views, sceneries, lochs, and castles precious to Scotland. We stopped in the quaint town of Luss, visited and fed Highland cattle, walked through beautiful pastures with sheep, explored castles with so much history, drove through the amazing Highlands with breathtaking views around every turn, passed incredible lochs, and even stopped for a “whiskey toast” at the Three Sisters, Glencoe. All of this and more, intertwined with fabulous folklore shared by Martin made our experience a memorable one. The online description of this tour is spot on. Martin will customize to suit your preferences and timeline. He was punctual, informative, and engaging with his witty banter. Highly recommend!

Amazing tour, excellent guide, spectacular experience
We cannot say enough good things about meeting Jas and E2G during our vacation in Scotland. Jas called the night before our tour to introduce himself and make sure we were on the same page for our tour. During that call I asked if there was a way we could see and feed some Highland Cows during our tour which he immediately said he could accommodate. He picked us up on time, was completely flexible to any and every request made during the day, he prepared for our stops with information cards and shared his knowledge with us, he was a very good driver and such a pleasure to spend time with. We were so thankful for our day with Jas and it remained a highlight of our two week stay. We will definitely use his services when we return to Scotland in the future. If you want a spectacular private tour he is the man to call.

Felt like going on a tour with a friend!
Private tour at just the right pace! Joao was super friendly and made our day interesting and relaxed. We asked for a mix of sights from Glasgow … Stirling Castle, Midhope, Doune, hielan coos, Luss, Loch Lomond and highlands drive … and we did all of that on a cold winter day! The van was super comfortable. Martin was super easy to plan with and Joao made conversation so easy, it was like catching up with an old friend. Highly recommend this company for a private tour!

An absolute treasure of an experience. Beautiful scenery and iconic locations all throughout this journey. Our guide, Shak, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He ensured we had enough time to see the many stops along the way and provided some very interesting facts about each place. This is the best way to experience the highlands. Highly recommend!

        Amazing Tour and Guide
First time traveling in Scotland and first time using a tour service like this. George was our guide and we had the best time ever. The locations were amazing and so were the stories. George was very fun to be around and gave us plenty of time to allow us to explore on our own for some private time. We even made a pit stop to a location I was able to trace my family heritage to. I can't thank him enough for that. This tour was worth every penny.

The only way to tour on a trip to Scotland!!
We enjoyed a wonderful day-long private tour with Shaq, with the company arranging to have us begin in Edinburgh (rather than Glasgow) and tour Stirling Castle, Doune Castle, Loch Lomond and Luss village, the Kelpies, and at day's end - a terrific visit feeding carrots to the Highland cows. All along the tour route our genial and knowledgeable guide pointed out lots of sights and provided background on everything from Scottish football rivalry to historical events. It was a memorable day out and well worth taking. So much fun with a very thoughtful host who made sure we were comfortable and had all our questions answered. He even provided an appropriate musical playlist, introduced us to the Scottish soft drink Irn-Bru, and brought out packages of delicious shortbread cookies.

        A must-do tour
Corrine is an absolutely wonderful guide and driver. She told us about each place when we were about to see it. The views were incredible and the autumn colours of the highlands blew us away.

        Beautiful day in Glasgow
We loved our day with Corinne! She was so sweet, welcoming and personable and she tailored our tour to what we wanted to see, making spontaneous adjustments to accommodate our cruise ship's late arrival and miscommunication with another tour operator. We especially enjoyed our time at the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We'd definitely book E2G Tours and Corinne again!

Great tour of Loch Lomond, three different castles, Scottish cows, and Glencoe mountains. We wanted to be back by 5:30 pm and still see as much as possible without spending too much time in the van. Martin was able to give us the tour we wanted and entertained us with his stories and great sense of humor.

He fed us Scottish treats and provided shots of Scotch to toast the Highlands! He had great lunch suggestions for ham and Brie sandwiches at the food truck. Castles were beautiful and the views in the Glencoe mountains were stunning.

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed this private tour and would highly recommend Martin and his tour company. This was one of our favorite tours of the trip. We did a bus tour with a different company out of Edinburgh and preferred the sights on Martin’s tour.

This is a wonderful way to get a taste of Scotland on a tour from a cruise ship that stops in Glasgow(Greenock)! We were met at the dock by Martin and Chrissy who took our party of nine in two separate vehicles ( a van and a sedan). We had communicated with Martin in advance and knew exactly where to meet and had a very good idea of what the tour would entail. We were not disappointed in any way shape or form, this was a great experience for all of us. We had our octogenarian mother/mother in law with us and Martin and Chrissy went out of their way to ensure that she got to experience everything that she wanted( this trip was for her to explore her linage) and to take of her safety and comfort. Martin set up the tour to really highlight the beauty of Loch Lomond. We had multiple stops along the way to Oban to get pictures and listen to Martin provide us with the history of the land. We stopped in Oban for lunch and had seafood right off of the fishing boats in the harbor. The second half of the day was highlighted by stops at castles and historic churches as we made out way back to Glasgow. We finished by toasting to our wonderful day by one of the most scenic vistas of our journey. What a day was had by all! I highly recommend E2G, I hope we can come back to Scotland and tour with them again.

It’s 100%+++ worth booking the Private tour of Loch Lomond, Oban and Glencoe with them!! This tour is a jam packed agenda, so understand that if you want to see it all, you need to watch your time and keep moving! But the beauty of the private tour is, you can customize and make adjustments on the fly!! We knew we were in for a great day the minute we got in the van with Joao Madeira!! He has the perfect amount of relaxed attitude, friendliness with the knowledge and desire to educate!!

We are family of 4. Middle aged couple traveling with 2 20 something “kids”. Joao connected with each of us and made the whole tour more fun!! He stayed in the van at some points to allow us to do our own thing and went with us at others to snap family photos and give a little context on the spot.

It’s really unimaginable how much beauty we witnessed in ONE long day!! Castles, Lochs, town of Oban, 3 sisters, Falloch waterfall, Glencoe and the Turf house, town of Luss and Loch Lomond, and Cairondow. I’m sure I’m forgetting something, but we will not forget the beauty and how we felt about this tour!! Again…worth booking Private and work at your own pace. Recommend Joao for people who enjoy care, guidance, fun and education that is hospitable, smart and fun, but not too overwhelming or over the top overbearing. We can’t say enough good things!! Book now if you are reading reviews and trying to decide!

This was the best tour we could have hoped for! George was an excellent driver (I normally get car sick and dislike mountain roads), and was courteous and mindful of our comfort. He took us to popular spots, but was also careful to point out local points of interest that were not overcrowded and were much more interesting to us. The "wee break" at the top of Glencoe mountains with a bit of whiskey was super fun, and he kept us all entertained for the 12 hour day. They were also worked with us to pick us up from our Glasgow hotel, as we were having issues arranging transportation to the normal pick up spot. George wanted us to thoroughly enjoy our experience...and he got his wish. If we come back to Scotland in the future, we will definitely book another tour with E2G (directly, not through other tour websites...much cheaper!).

First time booking a private tour - we'll never get on a group tour bus again!
Warm, cozy and comfortable. George attended to every detail - car temp, waters and treats, great play list! He told interesting and entertaining stories that built on each other along the way. We were able to see more places than a similar group tour itinerary. At some stops, we saw the tour bus pull up for a few minutes to let their guests look out the window (Three Sisters - what?!), while we were able to walk about, enjoy the view, hear the storied history and take beautiful family pictures.
Our schedule was relaxed and easy. We were in the mood for an afternoon coffee, so pooped into a Cafe in Oban extending our time there. We spent a few extra minutes feeding the Highland cows carrots - my daughter's favorite part of the trip!
Pick up and drop off at our door was great. It was nice to say our goodbyes and head up to our room. No need to sort out how to get across town after a long tour.
I highly recommend taking this private tour - for the price difference, I found so much value in the enjoyment of the day that can't be matched on a large group tour. Thank you for curating such an incredible trip!

First of all, Scotland is a beautiful country and we did see it from the small backseat windows . There were six of us on this tour. We were loaded into a van with the driver in front and one passenger that fit comfortably next to him. The remainder of us sat in the back and could hear absolutely nothing for the entire 9 hour trip. There was no speaker system. When I asked if the driver could speak up, I was told no that his wife wouldn't be happy with him when he got home. We learned absolutely nothing from this tour, except the few tidbits our front seat traveler told us. This may be wonderful for two people to sit with the driver and be able to understand what he was saying. My husband has impeccible hearing and heard nothing. Frustrating.

I am saddened your tour was less than a 5 star experience, and appreciate your constructive feedback. Our drivers/guides are instructed to address the whole group at each stop and clearly this has not been the case. I have taken steps to rectify this and can only apologise for the driver not speaking up when asked.

We highly recommend E2G for this day trip from Glasgow. Next time we visit Scotland, we're definitely going to look up Martin and E2G for a multi-day tour!

We covered a lot of ground on this trip, and our driver Martin was great at taking into account our specific interests to make sure we had more time in the areas that interested us most and letting us know where we could cut time in others. For example, we said we wanted to feed the Highland cattle, so we made a stop at Pollock County Park at the beginning of our day and Martin even brought carrots and vegetables for us to feed the cattle with. We also said that we loved seafood and whisky, so he recommended we skip the tour at one castle (we still stopped off for photos and the gift shop) so that we could maximize our time in Oban (where we had possibly the best seafood we've ever had - for cheap! - and a whisky tasting at the Oban distillery).

Martin must also have had some sort of sixth sense that we were foodies, because he recommended the most fantastic unpresuming food truck at the Rest & Be Thankful past that had a lifechanging bacon and brie sandwich (the black pudding sandwich and coffee were good too, to boot), and he also brought along and introduced us to delicious Scottish biscuits that you likely can't get in the United States but that are readily available in Scotland. (As Martin suggested, these are great gifts to bring back home to the States.) Martin was also generous enough to bring whisky so that the group could toast to a fantastic day with the jaw-dropping backdrop of Glencoe's Three Sisters.

I probably don't need to mention that the views and scenery are incredible. Luss was gorgeous, Oban was invigorating, Rest and Be Thankful and Glencoe's Three Sisters were breathtaking, and there were sheep and coos almost any direction you looked. One FYI is that cell phone service is not great in many of these areas, so if you get dropped off, be sure to meet your driver at the designated time and place to make sure you don't fall behind schedule.

Martin was an extremely affable, fun, and knowledgeable driver and guide. He let us know the good deals for food/souvenirs while also warning us about which places might be overpriced or overcrowded. He also pointed out some neat features that we wouldn't have otherwise been on the lookout for; for example, in Inveraray, we made a stop at a monolith similar to Stonehenge (I won't tell you whether one of our group members accidentally got sucked back in time Outlander style :)), and in Luss, he pointed out a cemetery with Viking graves! Martin kept the conversation fun and lively. The car was clean and spacious, and Martin was a very safe driver.

This was a great day tour, and our only regret is that we didn't stay in Scotland longer so that we could do a multi-day tour with E2G. Next time!

Our experience was horrible. Our driver Jordan was nice enough, but a "fill in" for the company. Time was not managed well, he drove us around and dropped us off or stopped places with no explanation of the area. Expectations were not set on where we were going next, how long it would take, etc. It was finally 2pm after driving around since 9am, and we asked about a lunch stop. We didn't even get to the dinner stop mentioned in our itinerary. Description and reviews all seemed positive, but our experience was very poor and not worth the money. We had 7 adults (4 men, 3 women) squished in a small van for 10 hours. It was the worst part of our whole vacation. This company does not live up to their words and description of the service they provide. I emailed them before writing this bad review and they didn't even respond. Buyer beware.

I am sorry you felt you had a horrible experience, but I feel some of your complaints are both on the harsh side and unreasonable. Jordan is a regular driver with positive reviews from other customers, prior to the tour you requested personally an itinerary of the tour which we emailed you in June. Our tour highlights Oban, as a 1hr lunch stop, 50 mins into your lunch stop you text Jordan asking for an extra hour in Oban, Jordan was accommodating and wanted to appease you, even though he knew it would run the tour well over the scheduled 10 hours. The tour finished at 9pm back in Glasgow (a full 2 hrs over time). Roads in the UK and Europe are narrower than the States, hence our vehicles are smaller in comparison, it's common knowledge. You emailed me asking for your money back, which was confusing as you had squeezed a 10 hr tour into a 12 hr day and your group gave a gratuity to Jordan of ÂŁ100.00, extremely generous for such a 'horrible' experience.

This was the best part of our trip to Scotland, hands-down. The Highlands are breathtaking. Our driver and Tour Guide Jimmy was kind and thoughtful. He was very knowledgeable about the countryside as a native Scott. He took us to the most beautiful spots for photo opportunities and lunch. We really wanted to see the hairy coos and Jimmy took us to a nice spot to see them, but they were not close enough for a good view. We happened see a herd close to the road as we whizzed by. There was not a convenient place to turn around but Jimmy was determined to let us have our photo opportunity with them and he went out of his way to turn the car around! Jimmy provided us with ample time to explore and soak in the beautiful country at each stop and to make extra stops upon request. He was a very careful driver and we felt extremely safe. We (3 adult couples) highly recommend this experience!

As an introduction to the north of Scotland for my partners family it was a great taster which they all throughly enjoyed and were glad too see compared to the usual city tours. Martin was a great driver and guide and kept us entertained throughout the trip (with banter, scottish sweets and a wee dram to help keep us warm) and finally he got us safetly home despite the joys of tiny roads in the dark.

For people new to Scotland and wanting to see a good starter selection of the highlands I cannot recommended this tour, Martin and his company enough for the reasons above (as well as the fast response to booking queries and flexible in tour itenraies and timings) . It was the highlight of our trip.
