    Sterling day trip
Our driver William was wonderful. He was informative and very personable. He adjusted our trip to meet our interests of more historical sites (we omitted the Kelpies and added two additional castles). The countryside is beautiful. While driving we discussed politics, Brexit, the next Scottish referendum, the British economy and Scottish History. All in all it was a wonderful day. We highly recommend it.

Private Day Tour from Cruise Ship
Let me start by saying that if not for a late pickup at the port, this would definitely have rated 5 stars. We were extremely pleased with the tour itself and the driver was an an absolute pleasure. He did, however, arrive about an hour late. He did call to tell us he would be arriving late, so we got back on the cruise ship and had coffee. The good news, this was a long stop in Edinburgh, so we had time to complete the entire itinerary, and, I believe that, out of guilt, our driver gave us more than we had contracted for, suggesting a couple of extra stops as we returned to the ship. We got back to the ship about a half hour in advance of the all aboard time, so we did not miss anything, nor were we pressed to get back. Our driver, Brian, was perfect. A Glasgow resident, he was extremely knowledgeable about the local sites and, in fact, had visited many of them on his own. As noted, he recommended a couple of quick stops on the way back to the port that were well worth it. The van was very comfortable for the two of us given 8 hours of driving with frequent stops. The tour included Blackness Castle, Stirling Castle, Doune Castle (site of Monty Python's Holy Grail, and Winterfell from Game of Thrones), driving through there Trossachs National Park overlooking the Lochs, stopping in Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, a coffee break in Aberfoyle, and photo stops at the Kelpies and Linlithgow Palace. A full day by any standard. Despite the late pickup, I would highly recommend Aura for anyone looking to take a packed day tour while in Edinburgh.

    Great experience
We used Aura Journeys for a day trip out of Edinburgh on September 8, 2019. Our driver, William, was friendly and knowledgeable, a great driver, and put us completely at ease. We'd been provided an initial itinerary, but as we talked with William it was obvious we could make changes easily, which we did. We opted out of time shopping in a small town, as well as a distillery tour (we're not big shoppers, and we've been on distillery tours before). Instead, we opted for William recommending some sights we might not otherwise see: Dunkeld Cathedral (the view of the River Tay from there is incredibly beautiful, as were the views later from Pitlochry Dam, and the Queen's View, which we NEVER would have found on our own). So, we felt that the day was completely catered to us, and while we were in the U.K. for two weeks, this one day trip was one of the, if not the, favorite parts of our trip. The next time we're in the U.K., we'll definitely contact Aura Journeys again for a memorable experience.

Custom Adventure with Family and Friends
I wanted a custom trip for my family to Loch Ness and the surrounding Scottish Highlands and hired a car and driver from Aura Journeys. It was very simple to set up online and went very smoothly. The driver was prompt, knowledgeable and was very accommodating to our wants and needs. I asked for a visit to some small towns and to avoid the touristy areas. William did just that for us and we visited small towns, nature preserve areas and he showed us where to get the best photo opportunities. He did a great job of making this trip exactly what we wanted it to be... a family trip with great memories. We were gone almost 14 hours and were exhausted but very happy. I would highly suggest booking with Aura Journeys. It was a great value and I would use them again.

    Fantastic trip and wonderful driver!
My family and I took a day trip to the Highlands. Our driver Murray Mckenzie, arrived on time and had everything planned to include drinks and extra snacks. He went out of his way to make sure we had an enjoyable day and we got to see everything we had wanted to include Glencoe, absolutely stunning! We had a wonderful experience, thank you Murray!

    What a lovely day!
We had the pleasure of visiting some of Scotland’s most treasured sites with Mr. Murray. He was so knowledgeable and clearly proud of his country. He was also incredibly thoughtful and patient with our family. He made excellent suggestions as to sites to visit as well as refreshments. Everyone in the family enjoyed the day we spent with him.

    Our Journey around Scotland
My husband & I had met William last year on a 1 day Outlander trip -which was amazing. He encouraged us to come back to Scotland & spend 4-5 days to "really" see the beauty the country has to offer. We did & just returned from an amazing 5 days! We journeyed up to Dornoch for a round of golf, stopping at the sights along the way . an overnight in Dornoch set us up for Dunrobbin Castle & onto Inverness, including a trip to Culloden Battle field & a cruise on the Loch Ness. From there we journey to Isle of Skye, which is like no other place in the world -simply rugged beauty. All the while, travelling thru the Highlands & William ensuring we did not miss a thing! an overnight in both Portree & Oban competed our trip. William was absolutely correct, 4-5 days is perfect to leisurely enjoy the beauty. Aura Journeys & team were amazing helpful & efficient with assisting us to set up this amazing trip! We have lasting memories & a wonderful new friendship -Thank you Aura & William!

    Driver for Scotland: Highly Recommend
Our driver, William, was nothing short of amazing! He was so prepared he even had a throat lozenge for my son's sore throat. He drove us from Edinburgh to Fort William for us to catch Jacobite (Hogwarts Express) and provided many stops along the way for pictures. The car was comfortable and just as described. He is extremely knowledgeable, polite and funny. Our conversations were a joy. I would recommend William and Aura Journeys and will use them if ever in that area again.

    Golfer's Delight
This is a great tour even if you're not a golfer. To stand on the golf course that the great golfers of all time have stood was a wonderful experience. The entire area is beautiful and so easy to walk around the shops and streets of St. Andrews. Our tour guide Graham Gordon was great. Personable, informative, funny and sometimes opinionated he made the tour one of the most enjoyable while in Scotland.

    We had the BEST time!!!!
We loved every moment of our tour with William. He was an exceptional guide and we didn't want the tour to end! :) He was accomodating, knowledgable, funny, smart, and he showed us places that we would've never seen with a different guide/group. Addtionally, the company was great to work with re: setting up our custom tour to hit all the sights we were hoping for. And they suggested we eat at Venachar Lochside and it was one of the best meals of the trip! Thank you so much, William and Aura Journeys, for making our excursion from Edinburgh so very special :)

Excellent Choice to Visit Loch Ness If You Have Limited Time To Visit Scotland!
If you are running short on time and patience and still want to visit Loch Ness from Edinburgh, then this is the right choice for you because the tour is customized for you along with all the stops that you like within the allotted time of the itinerary. The driver is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. You are picked up from your hotel in the morning and then dropped off to your hotel in the evening making this a very enjoyable and mind you relaxing trip. The car is very comfortable and worth the trip to Loch ness especially because you have a car all to yourself.

    Outlander Tour
Three friends and myself had the pleasure of spending a few hours with William on our Outlander Tour. He picked us up at our Airbnb, and drove us all around to stop and see the most amazing castles and houses where our favorite TV show was filmed. Our van was clean, comfortable and stocked with some nice treats, water and even a blanket. William took us to a great place for lunch, but the highlight of our trip was stumbling upon a set that was being used to film an upcoming episode. We couldn't stay and wait as the scene was being filmed at night, but it was exciting nonetheless. Thank you William for putting up with us for 10 hours. I'm sure you slept well that evening and had stories to share with your wife. Hope to see you again. Patty (New Jersey) Betty (New Jersey) Lizzie (Virginia) Londa (Seattle)
