  • Learn about the region's history from your guide
  • Enjoy an optional cruise on Loch Ness or visit Urquhart Castle
  • Hassle-free pickup and drop-off from central Glasgow
What to Expect
Meet your guide and group in central Glasgow. Board your air-conditioned coach and journey north, passing by Loch Lomond National Park and its famously "bonnie, bonnie banks." Continue into the Highlands, traveling by Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount mountain range, toward Glencoe, the haunting site of the 1692 MacDonald clan massacre and recognizable from the James Bond movie, Skyfall. Continue past Loch Linnhe, one of Scotland's deepest lakes (lochs), and stop for lunch in Fort William (own expense). See one of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, as you journey into the Great Glen. Travel through the Fort Augustus village toward Loch Ness. Keep your eyes peeled for the famous monster, and add on an optional boat cruise or Urquhart Castle tour. Continue north to Inverness, before heading back through Perthshire and the Forest of Atholl. Take a short break in Pitlochry, before concluding your tour back in central Glasgow.

Its a long and tiring tour however the bus is very comfortable and punctual. It sure could use more stop but then it will be very late to reach back Glasgow. The stops are well thought off. The tour guides are good and so are the chauffers.

It was a very long day with very little stops along the way. The scenery is beautiful of course but we could have stopped in much more beautiful spots and had a bit more time in them especially when we got to Loch Ness. This trip would have been much better if it's spread across

Response from Anna D, Reservations Team Leader at Loch Ness, Glencoe, and the Highlands Day Trip from Glasgow
Responded Sep 9, 2020
Hello, I am sorry to hear that you felt you spent too much time on the coach during your tour. This tour is our most demanding, with over 12 hours of touring in all, and for this reason we make sure we include this on our website and brochure. Our Reservations Team is always on hand for any customer queries before joining. Due to the tour covering much of the Country, we are unable to stop and view all of the beautiful scenery on the tour route. However, we do try to make sure that the stops the tour does make are as long as possible. The stop at Loch Ness is roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes long but I am sorry if you felt that was not long enough. We do offer a two-day Loch Ness, Inverness and the Highlands tour from Glasgow which may have been more suitable for you and, should you visit Scotland again in the future, our Reservations team would be more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding our multi-day tours. Kind Regards, Anna
