Got off to a bit of a late start due to a mechanical issue with the van but it turned out to be a lovely day. Peter and George were excellent guides and led us all in a sing along as we traveled. I could’ve stayed longer at Culzean, I like to wander, but for most the stops gave ample time. Great tour for the price!

Wonderful tour - and don't worry if you're not familiar with Outlander, still great!
This tour was fabulous!! It doesn't matter if you've never read any of the Outlander books or seen the series - the tour goes to fascinating places you've likely not been to and gives you a terrific overview of Scottish history and events. Duncan was an amazing guide - funny, interested in people's questions, easy to understand. Just an amazing day out!

Recommend, but alot of walking and steps to see everything!
There were mechanical issues causing a delay in pick up and we had a driver that was not to be having the tour for the day. Gary was amazing and adapted well, though! He was a wealth of information for both Outlander and history. He adapted so well to the individuality of the group and allowed good time at each place we stopped at. Wish there would have been an audio tour for Blacktree Castle as there was so much to see and Alot of steps!! Midhope Castle was amazing, but note you do have to pay extra on top of the tour fee to even get on to the grounds of it! Would recommend, but note there is a large amount of walking for someone who may have problems with that.

Jeff from Glasgow was amazing! He has so much knowledge and pride for Scotland. I cannot stress that sentence enough. It was easy to fall in love with Scotland with him as your guide. The day was long with a lot of time spent in the bus. But Jeff kept in interesting with all sorts of stories, songs, and charm. I made notes of all sorts of things I want to explore further after the tour.

      Guide was hostile
The trip itself was great but it was ruined early on by our grouchy guide Gary. At about 1 hour in after our first stop he wanted to “make it abundantly clear” that he felt he was being talked over, and that he’s fine to not say anything else if talking was going to continue. Took us all by surprise as the bus only had quiet murmurs between seat partners and families. Made the rest of the trip incredibly uncomfortable and having to be with him for 12 hours was not fun. We were all wondering when we would get yelled at again. We felt scared to ask questions or talk to one another. Incredibly disappointing, we travelled from Canada on a once and a lifetime experience and it was ruined. I guess it’s luck of the draw for which guide you have, but the driver and the guide are the same person so may the odds be in your favour.

Brilliant day out - 100% recommend
We had an absolutely fantastic day. Our tour guide, Caitlin, was very informative, helpful and funny. We saw so much beautiful scenery along the journey that my husband would not have seen had we been driving. The stops along the way were well timed without any pressure to go and shop in local outlets, which was refreshing. Instead the polite suggestions on where to visit during longer stops made the day feel relaxed and all the more enjoyable. We took a picnic lunch as there is plenty of seating alongside the lochs of Loch Ness (luckily the weather was kind). Cruise was fun and touched upon a lot of the local history and not just monster spotting! It’s a long day out but well worth the early start. Scottish playlist was also awesome. 100% recommend this tour

      Great trip 😀
Stuart was very knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the trip. We saw lots of beautiful scenery; he made good suggestions at all locations. Even the Glaswegian locals learnt stuff! A great trip 😀.

      Thrilling experience for Outlander fans!
This tour was incredible and so fulfilling for Outlander fans. We saw five locations; all from Season One—and our guides Graeme and his apprentice, Peter, were knowledgeable and enthusiastically wonderful. Graeme is full of dad jokes and so likeable.

      Just what we'd hoped for
Our driver/guide Grant was knowledgeable, personable, and funny. The scenery is spectacular and the tour of the castle was better than expected, and the typical Scottish on and off rain didn't put a damper on the day.

The beauty of Isle of Sky.
Myself and my friend took this 3 day Isle of Sky tour. Being on a small bus tour with only 12 people is so much better than a large bus filled with 40 people. It is hard to express in words the beauty of the views we saw. Unbelievably breathtaking. Our driver Gary explained everything we were seeing with details in his beautiful Scottish accent. He played songs of the region for our ears to hear and our minds to wonder. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to be excited to see the highlands. Ask for Gary to guide you thru this beautiful landscape and you won’t be disappointed!

      Beautiful, Bonnie Scotland
A fantastic tour of a beautiful part of Bonnie Scotland. Would highly recommend this tour and Rabbies. The weather ( unfortunately) was traditional Scottish weather so we battled rain throughout our full day trip. (May 26, 2024) Our tour guide Graham was fantastic. He was punctual, professional, humorous and informative. Throughout our journey we saw beautiful scenery and learned about important information about the history of Scotland. All the while , Graham kept the bus filled with relevant Scottish music and important historical information.

      Great Highlands tour with John
Great tour made better by a great guide (John from Rabbies tours). Had a wonderful time viewing the northern countryside of Scotland and the lochs in a comfortable 16 pax Mercedes van. Enjoyed the playlist of music and the guide’s humor along the way…a great guide makes the trip so much more enjoyable, and John delivered. Short visit at Loch Ness with a boat cruise that was informative and enjoyable. Overall, this trip is a must do, if visiting Glasgow. Thanks John!

Wonderful tour and a good range of destinations to see within a day.

Our tour guide John was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the destinations. He is a great asset to the company!

Given the circumstances due to Covid, I felt appropriate precautions took place to ensure everyone on the tour was safe. Temperature checks were completed before boarding and everyone was required to wear a mask inside the coach. It was also half, rather than full, capacity. This made travelling more comfortable as we did have more space.

Overall, great tour if you want to explore the Highlands of Scotland!

Our guide, Ben, was great. Tons of background stories and information about Scotland's history and when he wasn't talking he played a custom soundtrack with songs about Scotland or by Scottish performers. Completely entertaining, unfortunately, I've been singing "Loch Lomond" since!!

We saw a great cross-section including very small (100 ppl) communities, abandoned castles, coastal towns, lochs, etc. I'm so glad we got out of the city and saw the countryside.

Thanks for joining us, it's great to hear that you got a real sense of Scotland from this itinerary and the commentary and music that Ben shared. Loch Lomond is a pretty catchy tune, sorry about that! 😉 We hope to see you again soon, Kind Regards, Aimee

I did the tour with Alan, who was brilliant. Knowledgeable and entertaining through the whole trip.
Covid precautions are taken and implemented very seriously but without making it stressful.
I am looking forward to coming back and doing it again.

Though I lived in Beautiful Scotland for years now, I decided to do this tour because I wanted to put some informational context to the places I see, and Fraser been our Tour guide , I wasn't disappointed in the least!
It was a wonderful journey, meticulously crafted with attention to details from start to end, full of historical information, facts, stories, music and humour.I was particularly impressed by Fraser's ability to present all the information in a very engaging manner, without loosing his attention on the road but above all he never missed a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature.
Plenty of photo stops with some wonderful views.
I would strongly recommend this day trip with Rabbies to anyone whether you are living here or visiting, it's a different feel when you don't have to drive or plan an itinerary but just sit back, listen and enjoy the views.

I went solo for this tour last week, with James as our tour guide and it was fantastic! Departed from Glasgow on time, minibus was comfortable, and James had tons of fun facts about Scotland and hilariously-bad jokes. The weather was a little drizzly at Loch Lomond, but we got incredible snow in Glencoe! James was super flexible about willing to stop so we could take pictures in the snow and later on, when we saw highland cows! The stops in Glencoe were absolutely jaw-dropping. Saw three castles (Castle Stalker, Castle Kilchurn, and Inveraray Castle) and stopped for about 90 minutes for lunch in Oban.

This whole tour was a great way to spend a day really seeing the Scottish highlands, I highly recommend!

We had a great time on this trip and would thoroughly recommend it for anybody looking for a 1 day tour of the Highlands and Loch's. There were only 8 people on our trip and the mini bus was comfortable with large windows to take in the stunning scenery. We were fortunate in that the sun came out after a grey start which added to the views of Glencoe and the Moors in the afternoon. Despite being nearly 11 hours long the day wasn't tiring at all with always something to look at or visit.
We must given a special mention to our tour guide Ben who kept us informed and entertained throughout the day with his knowledge and humour.

What an incredible experience. I’d definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to know and see more of this beautiful country 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

George was very friendly, kind and knowledgable.

Each stop was absolutely breathtaking! My main reason for booking the tour was visiting Oban and I’m so pleased I had plenty of time to wonder around, eat and visit the tower.

Technical details you might want to know:

We came back to the bus station at 6:40 pm ( I got in on time to get my bus back to Aberdeen yeii) butwe had perfect weather and minimal traffic

    Plenty of stops.

Public toilets in Oban charge 50p so make sure you have coins. Thank you for helping me with that George . You are a star (in Netflix and real life)

PS: I absolutely LOVE the Scottish playlist 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thank you for showing us around 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I really enjoyed my Rabbie's day tour with Jeff from Glasgow today. Jeff was a lovely man and a great host. He kept everyone entertained, telling different historical stories / facts as we went along and also played some nice Scottish music. There were many different scenic stops for photos and also two bigger stops for breakfast and lunch with plenty of time to explore around. I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone! 😄👍

Taking a smaller tour on a smaller van was well worth it. You get a lot of opportunities to chat with your guide, ask many questions and get more in-depth information. Our tour guide Stevie was awesome and shared a lot of personal experiences he has had being in these places. The country side is stunning and the views you see are outstanding. Dress in layers knowing the weather will change frequently during the day. The only reason I didn’t give this your a 5 star is because we had individuals on the tour who had a difficult time managing their time and we were often waiting on people. Don’t be that person!! Our guide tried his best to get people to adhere to the time but at almost every stop we had to wait for people to get back to the van. Otherwise we had a great day and saw a lot of beauty

Let me start by saying...WOW. We left the Buchanan bus Station at about 8:30a headed out of the city centre towards Loch Lomond where we made our first stop for pics and to walk around. Our entire trip, we experienced rain, wind and cold and honestly it did not affect our trip at all with regards to the overall experience. If anything it made it more special as you could relate to some of the challenges that the clans dealt with while fighting for their land, homes and lifestyle. Our storyteller/driver (Bobby) was chock full of stories, history and humor that made the journey that much more special. I was there with my mom for her 75 th birthday and I thought this would be a great way to Scotland and i was not wrong. She loved it! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the Scottish Highlands. Thank you Bobby and James for an amazing day!
