From start to finish, I cannot rate or recommend this tour highly enough.
We researched a lot of different tour companies and eventually booked with Rabbie’s because of the guaranteed travel, regardless of how full (or not) the bus is. Thank goodness we did!!

The bus arrived on time and our driver, Graham, was so welcoming and a breath of fresh air at 8am on a Monday!
It turns out there were only 4 of us booked onto the tour and so the 16-seater bus was really spacious and allowed for more than adequate social distancing (although not enforced). We were asked to keep our masks on in the bus and Graham’s seat was surrounded by Perspex. I felt really comfortable.

The tour was accompanied by facts, stories and music. The scenery was complemented by the music choice and the playlist was well thought out and made the whole day an experience, and not just a journey. Graham was so quick with his jokes, one-liners and answers to our questions.

We stopped around 6/7 times on our way up to Loch Ness, at Loch Lomond, Glencoe, and other coach stops. All the coach stops were lovely, had shops, refreshments and proper toilets. We never went more than 2 hours without a toilet break. The stops were short, but plenty of time to either use the facilities or take photos, depending on what kind of stop it was.

On our approach to Loch Ness, we were offered the choice to book onto the boat tour, this was never pushed or pressurised. We opted to do so and I’m so glad we did. The staff on there were so engaging and made the whole thing a lot of fun!
Also - give the Monster Fish and Chip shop a go…that was delicious!!

Then onto Inverness, but first a quick stop at Invermoriston Falls and Bridge…I wouldn’t have known that was there, so there’s another bonus to being on a tour with someone who knows all the secret spots!!

My partner mentioned (many times) that she loved Highland Coos and so our last stop was a lovely shop/cafe/takeaway with Highland Coos around the back! Safe to say she was very happy.

On the longest leg of the journey from Inverness, Graham put some music on shuffle and said he would stop talking for a while (we were all pretty tired by this point), allowing us all to have a quick cat nap!

Overall, I cannot rate this tour more highly and I am amazed by how much we got to see today. If you’re trying to decide whether or not to book it, just do it!! This was the best thing we booked during our stay in Scotland and such a good use of time and money. In short, JUST BOOK IT !! :)

It’s such a delight meeting people who have spent several years as a tour guide and are extremely passionate about their careers in tourism. John from Glasgow is one of those people. I’ve had the pleasure of having John on both of my Rabbies’ tours out of Glasgow, and his energy, patter, and knowledge added a touch of flare that elevated the tour and the overall experience. Tours without John just weren’t the same, and he was easily my best guide during my time in Ireland and Scotland. He didn’t solicit gratuities unlike many guides yet they were well deserved. Cheers to John, Rabbies, and the beautiful sites of Scotland.

I highly recommend them.
Our polite driver Jerry (with a J!) handed out a wee plastic bag in case of having a bad stomach because of the curvy road. we never needed it because he was driving smoothly, while keeping on the time schedule.
He knows inch by inch of the trip and will talk about the most important historical areas and events on the way to each destination. we had multiple 10-20 minute stops for each place that you would need to grab your camera for.
I enjoyed this trip as I saw Loch Lomond, beautiful village of Luss, Glencoe, Fort Augustus, cruised in Loch Ness and more.

Me and my fiend wanted to make the most out of our last day n Scotland highlands. We were thinking about renting a car but we are so happy that we ended up booking with rabbie's day Highland tour. We just had to be there on time early in the morning (7am) and then Alan did his magic. Very knowledgeable guide and really, a lot of stops and landscapes, we even saw highland cows. Totally recommend if you want to see Scotland's outdoors in a day with interesting insights from the guide.

Thank you so much for your review, we are really pleased that you decided not to hire a car and you chose to take a small group tour, sit back, relax and let us do the hard work :) Our guides are all really knowledgeable and passionate about our country and the tours are designed to show you the highlights as well as get you off the beaten track and show you our hidden gems and along the way as Alan did, our guides tell you all about our country, our history and share all of their knowledge with you. Hope to see you again on tour soon, (we have tours departing from London, Dublin, Aberdeen, Inverness and Edinburgh too if you plan to return!.... )

Jenny was a great tour leader and her knowledge was invaluable.
She made the long day comfortable with a good amount of stops to break up the drive and a great playlist to compliment the journey.
It is a great trip if you have restricted time in Scotland and want to get up to see the highlands and Lochness.
The boat trip was a little under whelming but by the time you get there its silly if you dont pay the extra to do it. Its a small journey up the loch and back. Im not really sure what I was expecting so I guess in reality it was what you would expect. On a lake looking at the water for a monster that you probably wont see for about 50 minutes.

It was an amazing tour! I was told one day earlier that I might be the only tourist in this tour but organiser offered me alternative dates/full refund or continue with the original plan options, and I chose to go as planned. It turned out to be a wonderful experience for me, and only me with the super friendly tour guide and driver! He is very knowledgeable and explained me every lakes (loches) or other sceneries along the trip, and helped me with photos. Really appreciate it that Rabbie gave me a private tour on that date! I would probably come back and take an another three day Skyi trip to appreciate more highland sceneries with Rabbies in the future when I had more time.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this trip was! I can’t thank this company enough for the incredible experience we had with my Fiance. GRAHAM was an AMAZING tour guide with full of information and interesting stories, histories and information about the different spots we were driving through! He answered all the questions, also played beautiful music that pertained to different areas of where we were along the route. The seats of the van were very comfortable and there were also frequent stops for bathroom and food breaks so we were never uncomfortable! I highly recommend this company. Thanks for the amazing trip GRAHAM! :) Can't wait to visit Scotland again!

This was an amazing tour and I highly recommend everyone going. The one thing I was nervous about were bathroom breaks but it was never an issue because we had frequent stops. Since our group skipped the loch ness boat cruise, we were able to stop at more places, which I highly recommend. I had the pleasure of being with John as my tour guide. He was super informative and kept pointing to a map of Scotland to show us where we were and where we were heading. He also played some music and we did a fun movie quiz on the way back. Pictures were amazing and John even took photos of my friends and I for us.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this trip was! I can’t thank this company enough for the incredible experience we had! We only had a couple of days in Scotland so to be able to see as much as we did was so great! Stevie was an AMAZING tour guide full of information, jokes and is clearly very proud to show off his country! I thought it was going to be mostly driving photo location to photo location but there were constant interesting stories, history and information about the different spots we were driving through! He also played beautiful music that pertained to different areas of where we were along the route. The windows of the van are very large so no matter where you are sitting you can see what the driver is speaking about and take photos. The seats of the van were very comfortable and there were also frequent stops for bathroom and food breaks so we were never uncomfortable! I highly recommend this company - I was not a fan of tour buses but I have definitely re-evaluated my opinion! Thanks for the amazing trip! :)

We do things a little differently from the typical 'bus tour' - starting with the small-groups that make for a far more personal experience. Thanks for taking a chance on us, we're glad that you had such a brilliant day with Stevie. All the best, Aimee

I booked this tour as a birthday present for my Spanish boyfriend who had always wanted to visit the highlands. The tour is intense in that you get to see as much as possible in one day. That said, there wasn't a feeling of being rushed either and our guide Ben went above and beyond to make sure we got as much out of it as possible; music specific to locations we visited and historical info that was interesting to listen to - much appreciated. The weather was typical of wintertime but that is part of the country's charm. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see as much of Scotland as possible in one day - I'm Scottish myself and I absolutely loved it!
