Meet your guide for a mysterious adventure in the footsteps of the ghosts of Greyfriars Kirkyard Built in 1560 in the period town center, it towers over the new town and accumulates strange ghost stories. In Edinburgh, Scotland, there is a charming little Gothic cemetery, Greyfriars Kirkyard, which is reputed to be the most haunted cemetery in the world. For a long time already, testimonies of strange manifestations had been reported but in 1999, after the accidental awakening of the evil spirit of George MacKenzie, the phenomenon suddenly intensified, claiming an incredible number of victims. Greyfriars Cemetery takes its name from the Franciscan monastery that once stood on the site. In 1561, noting that it was impossible to continue to bury the parishioners in the church, for lack of space but also because of the "smells and inconveniences of summer", the council of the city decided to remove the central Edinburgh cemetery, choosing the courtyard of the former Greyfriars Monastery.

      Great service
A brilliant day out made so much more special by the hospitality in the cafe. A massive thank you to Amee for her organising skills and customer care. If I had a restaurant I would definitely want her to work for me

      Rip off
Horrible experience We were waiting for over an hour in front of Scotland national museum and there was no show up and they didn’t even answer any phone calls. That was the most agonizing experience I ever had in different countries. That was a total rip off of 100 £

Loving the accent up here in the North, the staff here were very friendly and wow.. the build itself is beautiful, let alone all the artefacts and really interesting exhibits of Scottish heritage, lovely visit.

      Worst experience of our life.
This was without doubt the worst experience of our holiday time in the United Kingdom. From the start of this tour it was already evident that there was poor communication and organisation. For example when we arrived at our hotel for the alleged meeting, no one was there. The next morning there was simply a sign at reception saying breakfast at such and such and time and on the bus at such and such a time. Our first tour which we expected to be a full day, lasted only 3 hours and then we were told the rest of the day was ours. This was a pattern to be repeated. By day 5 a family of 9 had left the tour very dissatisfied with the organisation. We were arriving at places late and having to be up early in the morning to get on the bus. There was absolutely no interaction with any of the passengers. We had asked for an English speaking guide and all three (yes we went through three) were predominantly Spanish. Our hotel was changed at the last minute and we were put into a disgusting hotel in Liverpool. Places of interest such as the Forth Road Bridges and the rail bridge, the Jacobite express were not mentioned at all. The Kingdom of Fife is the only remaining Kingdom in Scotland and this was not mentioned. We have asked for a partial refund but this has been refused. My partner and I both ended up very sick and were in bed with an extremely bad cough which resulted in a visit to the doctor in Liverpool. I would never recommend this company.

Tour Guide was a NO SHOW!
Tour guide was a No Show! There was another person at the designated meeting site also, and as we compared notes we concluded that we’d been stood up. Should be real fun trying to get my money back. Next best thing was that a museum worker handed me a paper guide/ brochure and instructed me to simply scan QR code for museum highlights and follow along. (Bring your earbuds.) I think the program is kinda new because the continuity between rooms/ exhibits is a little unclear, but I was able to hit 15 top items as well as enjoy some things that caught my attention in two hours time.

Golf, whiskey and sightseeing: Guided Tours of Scotland with Greg Kain
We were 8 golfers and whiskey enthusiasts from Brasil. We travelled to Aberdeen,St Andrews and Troon in August 2023 to play golf and visit some distilleries. Absolutely fantastic service from our driver and guide Greg Kain of Guided Tours of Scotland: lots of historical information and a very comfortable vehicle for our transport between the various cities with excellent choices for our lunch stops. Many thanks for the outstanding service. Highly recommended.

      Surprising Gem - Supreme Court
This is a hidden treasure for anyone who is interested in the history of how law is interpreted. Ph dear, what I just said sounds tedious. This place is not! A history exhibit is on the lower floor and courtrooms are open. Lovely clean Cafe is on the lower floor with light fare and a quiet spot to rest after being at the Abbey.

Enjoy the British Museum in only 2 hours
We joined the British Museum Guided tour on Aug 20, 2032. We definitely made a right decision. Especially for people who doesn't have many idea where to start in a museum. Guide was very knowledge and friendly. Also took care how we feel and always asked what we would be more interested. He made us feel like having a private tour, but didn't pay as much. Totally recommend this tour if you only certain time to enjoy the museum.

This is where rights are upheld!!
My wife booked this as a birthday present. As an approved mental health professional I work with mental health law on a daily basis. This is where all the big cases are heard in the UK and to some degree, the commonwealth! Still new in reality but steeped in history around the law. A real geeks paradise!!!

MUST have live guide or don’t take this tour.
We had a 24 hour pass so took the tour on consecutive days. Day one..no guide…It was horrid. The tour audio didnt work and it would start explaining something then stop part way through and went on the the next sight. So it would say “ and the most interesting thing about this pub is…..on your left is St Marys Church where many famous people are buried including….the statue on your left is from 1866 and was created by…..” it made the trip awful. Day Two…Live guide Dominic…he was funny, entertaining and gave us loads of information on all the sights as well as buildings we passed. He answered questions easily and gave great commentary on the tour and life in general in London. We loved it. So…if you dont get a live tour, DO NOT GO ON THIS HOP ON HOP OFF. If you do, you will love it.

      Not as advertised
This turned out to be a Walking Tour that we honestly could have done for free! Though the Guide was friendly he did not provide significant information. The reservation said it could be canceled or a different Tour would be offered if not enough people purchased & this is exactly what should have happened

Don't waste your money - NOT geared towards children
Don't waste your time or money on this tour. It wasn't geared towards children, the guide was: inappropriately political, got facts wrong, had a set idea of what we would see & what she would talk about (& didn't deviate from that), & made inappropriate comments about other guests at the museum. In addition, the company never responded to my concerns. We were so excited about this very special treat - booking a private tour of a place we've been so looking forward to visiting. After half an hour my children were begging to end the tour and look through the museum by ourselves. My 12 year old (who's birthday it was - and this was a special treat for her) was in tears she was so upset. To say I was disappointed and underwhelmed would be an understatement. Based on the description and the reviews, we expected a tour guide who would engage with our children, share details that we wouldn't have gotten by just reading the information in the museum, and challenge and delight our children who are huge history nuts. From the description I understood we'd be able to have the guide tailor the tour to things we were interested in. For the price, I expected an engaging, thought provoking, interesting tour. I expected something GEARED TOWARDS CHILDREN. My children are fascinated by both Greek and Roman history, have read every book available to them on the subject. They had a ton of questions ready, but the tone set by the guide silenced them immediately. This tour guide was not the right fit for a "children centric" tour - which is what we booked. There was absolutely no discernible difference between this tour and what I would have expected a generic, run of the mill tour guided effort for 40 adults. Yet, this tour was advertised as a intimate, family friendly, children centric tour. Honestly, I found myself leaning into conversations other private tour guides were having with their clients so I could hear anything more engaging. Rather than engage and ask questions, the tour guide clearly had a set plan of what she wanted to say and where she wanted to go, and she wasn't moved from that. The insights she shared were spare, and she repeated the same generic details in each new gallery. My twelve year old completely shut off when she got facts about Greek mythology wrong. The guide commented - unbidden and many times - about the over abundance of Asian tourists being in the way and them making it difficult to get in to see certain things. She talked a great deal about the politics of museum acquisitions - always saying how she didn't want to talk politics. We never asked about museum acquisitions. We weren't there to engage in a scholarly discussion of museumology, politics, or transgressions of previous generations. We wanted a tour, geared towards the interests of our children. The guide kept engaging my husband in conversation about us or other things. Nice if you need to "fill the air" but if she had understood how to engage with children, she would have had many things to talk with us about and wouldn't have felt the need to engage in chit chat with us. She kept asking us if we wanted to go places to take photos. After the first two times where we emphatically told her we weren't interested in selfies or photo-ops, she should have gotten the drift. It seems she had a pre-planned, canned tour, and that's what she delivered. Whereas we paid for a private, adaptable, children centric tour and what we got was not even close. Also - she was late to arrive. Don't waste your time with this company. They never responded to my calls or emails concerns my queries and issues.
