David is the best!
We were thrilled to have booked and spent several hours walking around Dean Village and a few other hidden gem spots with David.
He is incredibly knowledgeable of the area and his photography skills and tips are the best.
You won't be disappointed!

Lovely tour with lots of interesting information about Edinburgh, especially some niche information that we never would have known otherwise. It was amazing.
Since it was also a photography tour the tour guide David gave really good advice about taking pictures that is making our pictures now so much more special.
It was also lovely to see how passionate David was about Edinburgh, photography and teaching people about both, it makes the tour make a lot of fun.
We can highly recommend this tour and will definitely do another one when we come back. There is still so much more to learn about Edinburgh.

Hi Marie & Sophie,
Thank you so much for coming on the tour. It was really lovely to meet you both and your dear wee dog (whom is adorable :-)) and show you the city.
I'm so glad my photography tips are coming in handy for the rest of your holiday and that you have a lovely restful time in Ardnamurchan. It's a wonderful place and I'm actually heading up there myself next week which I'm really excited about.
I really hope to meet you again and show you more of the city, and please don't hesitate to get in touch if there's anything else I can help with during the rest of your holiday.
Take good care of yourselves.
Haste ye back,
Warmest best wishes,
David

This tour was terrific. David is knowledgeable and passionate about photography and the city of Edinburgh. I shoot a digital SLR but my husband used his iPhone and we both got such great shots! Locations we didn’t know about or never would have approached that are absolute keepers (public and respectfully approached spots). My personal recommendation would be to do this tour early in your stay to get oriented, which will also allow for a revisit if you want additional pics or different lighting. David was enthusiastic, engaging, and professional—highly recommend! Happy shooting!

This was a great part of my trip. Along with David being an incredible guide, he took me to places that I did not know existed. He has such a passion about Scotland and photography and it was a really fantastic time. I know this review is pretty short. But I could go on for a long time about this. It was a really great time.

David is such a positive individual with incredible insight about Edinburgh and photography! He took us into so many places that we wouldn’t have known existed, and taught us about leading lines and the rule of thirds. He was kind and considerate of everyone’s energy levels, and treated us to a coffee (or milkshake) as a quick break from the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour! David is in fact, an icon.

The tour was just the right mix of photo tips and history. I’ll never just be splashing in puddles but taking photos as well. I enjoyed taking photos with reflections in windows and leading lines .
I have a new perspective on what I’m looking to photograph with layers to add to the story of the photographer. I would highly recommend David as a tour guide both for the history of Edinburgh and the photography.

The tour was fantastic. Our guide/instructor exceeded, went above and beyond the tour parameters. David’s knowledge of photography and Edinburgh was superior. We will always use his tips and advice for taking photos. I highly recommend anyone traveling to Edinburgh to take the tour. The sites we visited and photos we were able to take we will have forever. The uploaded photos I used my phone with David’s tips but can’t compare to photos from my camera following his advice.
Thank you David!!!!!

If I could give this review more than five stars, I would. David was great to work with from start to finish. He communicated before we left and during our stay in Edinburgh. He is knowledgeable and passionate about his subject matter and took our family to well-known and little known treasures throughout this enchanting city. Our daughter is a savvy photographer who was using her film camera and we were on our iPhones. David helped all of us sharpen our skills and gave us lots of great new tips to use throughout the tour and the rest of our trip. We were also treated to a lovely coffee break! This tour is worth every penny and more. Don’t miss it!

David was an absolutely amazing guide and went above and beyond for our tour! His kindness and knowledge of Edinburgh made this experience so incredible. There was truly no better way for us to explore the city for the first time as we were able to visit so many cool spots that we never would have found otherwise. He shared some really interesting advice and photography tips & tricks that we had never learned before. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a one of a kind experience in Edinburgh!
