Our guide Lisa really made the tour so amazing! She was so charismatic and made the experience far from boring and entertained us while relaying insightful facts of all the cheeses.
We received a generous amount of cheese compared to most cheese tastings I've had before as well as a generous amount of information in regards and being able to walk around Edinburgh was so lovely as well as meet friendly new faces and have awesome conversations with our guides.
We would definitely recommend Lisa and hopefully will have her as a guide again when we return for another holiday in Edinburgh later in the year.

The tour had a nice progression from one place to another, finishing with stronger cheeses and a cup of prosseco.
I was expecting it just to be little trying bits on each stop but was surprised that the pieces were quite big and filling.
Kristel was funny and she definitely made the whole experience easy to digest 🧀

We had a wonderful time with Kristel on our cheese tour and left thoroughly full - don't be fooled by the small bag, it's crammed full of cheese! It's a great way to see Stockbridge, which is a lovely part of Edinburgh full of cute shops, cafes and of course cheese mongers. Kristel was lovely, friendly, funny, informative and gave us extra cheese so she was a firm favourite with our group of 9! The King of Cheeses is an absolute must try, soooo good.
We tried some unusual cheeses, some of which were accompanied by prosecco as well which made them even better. The whole walking distance is only about 15 minutes or so, so it's a nice leisurely place with plenty of time to stop and enjoy cheese and listen to Kristel's tales about the area and Edinburgh. If you're looking for something a bit different to do then 100% book this, you will leave happy and full!

For 25 pounds per person, you get to try so many exciting new fancy cheeses! Also knowing good local cheese businesses. The cheeses were so delicious . Sarah was knowledgeable and informative and paced the tour well with fizz and each cheese. Would highly reccomend.
I would say the tour is about 1.5hrs really.

A delightful way to spend an afternoon around Stockbridge, a little village just off the main Edinburgh city centre with its own local shops and businesses.
Our guide Kristel was very knowledgeable and fun! She took us to 4 different cheesemonger shops to try around 10 varied kinds of cheese and other delicacies the cheesemongers would provide on the side, like fresh bread and crackers. We also had prosecco to pair with one of the cheeses.
The reason I liked this tour was that it supports local businesses and it takes place in an area many tourists wouldn't go to. The cheese shops had many prestigious ingredients for sale you wouldn't find at a big supermarket chain, at an affordable price.
Would definitely do it again with family and friends as she also suggests what cheese are suitable for specific dietary requirements (pregnant, dairy-free [I know!]), etc

Booked under the guise of ‘come hungry’ …. Exciting tour etc etc etc
Well ….. if your idea of eating well and experiencing Scottish cheeses is standing outside four cheese shops next to a dusty, noisy busy road and watching a tour guide get his knife out roadside … cut cheese he had just bought and pass out mini squares with no gloves , no change of knife and the odd charcoal cracker from a packet - then this is the tour for you !! 😂😂
Whoever owns this tour should be ashamed at £35 a head . The saying of the ‘tour’ (four times ) - ‘line up against this wall … the shop is too busy”.
Save your money !!!! No seats …. No relaxation …. No real interesting info …. Just poor .
Xander - nice guy but guessing his hands are tied as an employee .

Fabulous tour in Edinburgh. Kieran was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. He made the effort to talk to everyone on the tour and you can tell he enjoys taking the tours. The cheese was delicious and it was nice to learn a bit of history about each shop on the tour and experience types of cheese we hadn’t tried before! At one of the stops we were also given some Sauvignon Blanc to try with the cheese which was a nice extra. Weather was cold but dry, recommend wrapping up warm as the tour is mostly outside. Overall a fantastic tour and something a bit different, would definitely recommend!

Me and my hubby was in this tour today, our guides were awesome. Monique and Claire were the best. It was so nice to know the places where we can get the best quality cheeses, breads, wines, paté and more!
I highly recommend this tour whether you are a fellow local resident or just visiting the capital, totally worth your time and value for money.

Exceeded our expectations. Kieran guided us expertly through Stockbridge cheese shops, providing some superb selections to sample.
There was time to browse in the shops and purchase after each stop and tasting.
We were very lucky with superb weather, surpassed only by the charm, chat and knowledge of Kieran.
Highly recommend this gentle meander through a great area, sampling fantastic cheese and getting a wee sit down at the end (hopefully in the sun when you visit) for some wine.
Would love to see the Cheese Crawl offered through weekdays, as ideal for a team day out.

Great tour through some of the lesser known parts of Edinburgh and historic cheese shops. The tour guide Kristel was very knowledgeable both about the history of the city and the cheeses. We got to try generous portions of very interesting local and international kinds as well as a glass of bubbly! Thank you Kristel!
