Excellent tour!
Chris is a wonderful tour guide. At the last minute we decided to change our itinerary and he didn’t miss a beat. He came up with a fantastic tour of multiple castles, beautiful small villages, stopped to feed the coos (cows), and many other attractions. We saw so much on his tour that we wouldn’t have seen on our own. And he knew everything about Scotland and it’s history. We highly recommend a private tour with Chris!

Amazing & Wonderful !
Monarch took great care of my friend, Tara, and myself for a private day trip out to Glencoe from Edinburgh. We had fantastic stops along the way at spots we would have otherwise missed without our terrific operator. No detail was overlooked! Chris shared his wealth of knowledge of the history and region. So worth it!

Best Tour Experience EVER!
Chris took us on a customized multi-day private tour from Ediburgh, throughout the Isle of Skye and then Inverness. He is hands-down the best tour guide I've ever had, and that's after using many guides throughout Europe. A group of us, including small children, had such a great time each day with him, as he educated us about the country, the regions, the myths, legends, history, culture, food, fun and more. He's great with kids, and found creative ways to keep them engaged in all of the activities throughout the day. Chris is the epitome of a a professional tour guide, but also someone you look forward to traveling around the country with each day, On our last day of the tour, we were all sad to have to say goodbye to Chris. But we will coming back to Scotland and Chris will be the first person we contact to help us set up the perfect custom itinerary with him at the helm. Thanks again Chris...

Fantastic 4 Day Experience
We can not say enough good things about Chris. He was the best guide we have ever had. He has a wonderful personality, is extremely knowledgeable and made the entire tour fun, easy and relaxing. He was extremely helpful in planning our itinerary. He arrived every morning in an immaculately clean car filled with waters and treats. He knew all the best places to stop for scenic views, experiences and the best food. He was always up for getting out of the car at stops and helping us and the kids along hikes and other adventures. He did a wonderful job of making us feel like we experienced Scotland rather than just driving through it. He was wonderful with our kids, making the trip as special for them as it was for us. We had a diverse group with young kids, parents, a grandparent and a family friend and we all just loved him. You won’t find a better guide!

We can only recommend Chris! Not only did we feel very comfortable, but we were also able to completely customize the trip. We enjoyed every minute of it. Chris shared lots of fascinating Scottish history, anecdotes, answered any questions we had and was generally very interesting to talk to. We had an amazing day and would recommend this tour to anyone!

Wonderful day in the Highlands!
Our family had a terrific day touring the Highlands with Chris. We were impressed with his incredible knowledge and passion of Scotland and really appreciated getting the perspective of a native of the area. Chris is outgoing and friendly and has incredible attention to detail. We really hope to be back in Scotland and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for another tour. This was one of our absolute favorite days of our trip to the UK. Thanks Toby for a great experience and wonderful memories!

Great Tours of Edinburgh and the Central Highlands
I recently booked two private tours with Chris. The first was a walking tour of Edinburgh, and the second was a central highlands day trip from Edinburgh. The walking trip was great. We met outside of St Giles Cathedral. Chris explained the history of the Cathedral as well as the surrounding area. He pointed out different buildings and grave stones that we definitely would have missed if walking around by ourselves. Every movie we named that was filmed in Edinburgh Chris had seen and showed us the areas where they were filmed. Specifically, Avengers and Harry Potter. The tour was thorough, and moved at whatever pace we wanted which was great. The next day we went on the Central Highlands tour with Chris. He picked us up at our hotel, and we hit the road. We had somewhat of an itinerary, but Chris allowed us to modify it as we went. We made some additional stops like the Kelpies and Doune Castle which we were not planning on seeing. Chris was very knowledgeable. He knew just as much about the whiskey distillery we toured as our guide at the distillery. I don’t think there was one thing about Scotland we asked that he didn’t know. He was an encyclopedia of Scottish History and culture. I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Chris. He is knowledgeable, friendly and an all around great tour guide. Definitely happy we booked with him.

Great way to see the country with the fantastic tour guide chris
We came to Scotland with the family. We wanted to see the highlands with out having to do a rushed group tour. So we picked chris and so thrilled we did. He made a great tour which entertained the kids and us adults too. We got to stop off to places when the kids needed a break and we got to stop to places we didn’t even knew existed. Highly recommend chris! We will be back.

The BEST way to discover Scotland!
If you want to explore the stunning country of Scotland then this is the one for you. Chris drums up such passion for his beloved nation that you can’t help but be swept up in his recounts of stories, tales and legends that have been passed down the generations of clansmen and women. His knowledge of the areas we visited seemed limitless and was always delivered with charm and good humour. The pace was superb and the little stops along the way were timed perfectly. Chris was also able to tailor our trips to make them that little bit more personalised. We always felt like we were in the best hands as other tour groups looked upon us with envious eyes. Highly recommend! And we will be seeking his services again on our next trip!

One of the best tours we have ever had!
We booked a couple of days out with Chris and he was brilliant. There isn't much he doesn't know and was great at offering up information on all the please we visited. It's clear this isn't just a job for him, he really does love what he does, and Scotland. We went to some great locations, off the beaten track and had some amazing food along the way too. Sadly no highland 'coos' for us on this trip, but we are already planning out next tour with him to head up to the highlands. Can't recommend Chris enough! You wont be disappointed.

Great tour guide with a personal feel and comfort.
Chris has a passion for his job. You can tell by how he tells you about history and awesome facts. The journey was so pleasant and the car is so comfortable and you can see so much of Scotland. We had a personal custom tour so it was nice seeing what we wanted and not going with the typical spots. And Chris threw in some surprises which was amazing. Highly recommend!
