Laura was an excellent guide. We packed a full day with six locations and she kept us on track and still gave us time to enjoy each location. Our first time doing a private tour and extremely glad we did! Would definitely use this company again.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Ancient Orkney tour with Laura MacKenzie as our guide. My stepdaughter and I made it to many of the neolithic sites that I hoped to see as well as other important sites that reflect the culture and history of Orkney. On the first day when our luggage didn't arrive with us at the airport in Inverness, Laura handled the crisis smoothly taking us to shops in Inverness where we found warm clothing and rearranging the tour to accommodate the delay caused by the missing luggage which finally arrived two days later at the Kirkwall Hotel on the main island of Orkney. Overall it was an outstanding trip and I have many great memories of the experience.

This experience was so amazing! Our driver Laura did an incredible job, she made this a very memorable trip for us and I’m very thankful for her. She took us to see castle and tell us more about the history. She really was so wonderful and we are truly blessed to have had her as our tour. I highly recommend this tour, if I ever come back to visit I’ll definitely hire them again!

Laura was AMAZING! She was full of knowledge of the the history of Scotland and the places we stopped. Lunch was wonderful as well. The van was spacious and comfortable. We would book again!

Amazing private tour. Our tour guide Debbie, was so nice, and knowledgeable about the sites. She really took a great tour to another level with her personality and professionalism! The minivan was clean and comfortable and a great alternative to bus/mini bus crowds. Would highly recommend.

Our guide was Rob who was absolutely phenomenal. We were traveling with a newborn baby and a 3 year old toddler who was proving difficult straight from the go when Rob arrived to pick us up. He was very patient and accommodating while we got settled into the van. As we drove out to Stirling Castle, Rob was full of knowledge of Scotland and its history, which was a great way to set the stage for our exploration of the castle. The parking was completely full, so Rob dropped us off at the entrance and gave us some tips on where to go once inside to get the best experience. Then he took us to a great restaurant called The Oak on our way to Loch Lomond. This was some of the best food we had in Scotland, and it was decently affordable. Next on our wishlist was to see some Scottish Highland cows, and Rob knew just the spot. We got to hand feed and take pictures with a couple cows and grab some souvenirs at the farmstand's shop. On our way back, we wanted to grab some hard to find whisky to take home, and Rob knew just the shop that could help us along the way. This was a great way to explore a bit of Scotland outside the main city area, and it was so pleasant to have a driver to handle all the logistics rather than renting a car to do it ourselves. Plus Rob was so knowledgable and friendly, it was the icing on the cake!

The tour of the Highlands and Loch Ness was the highlight of our trip to Scotland. Our guide/driver, Alan, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. More importantly, my wife and I actually enjoyed being stuck in a van with him for 11 hours. He’s the kind of person who can get along with anyone, and just shooting the breeze with him made the time fly by.

My step mom and I took a wonderful tour with Laura. Experienced Tours was AMAZING and Laura especially was fantastic. She was super knowledgeable. Laura made us feel so comfortable. She helped us navigate all that Scotland had to offer. She was loving, kind, prompt, receptive, patient. I can’t say enough good things about Laura and Experienced Tours. I was sad to say goodbye to her. I would do it all over again if given the opportunity A+

We were fortunate to have chosen Experienced Tours for our cruise stop in Greenock (Glasgow). Our guide, Laura, was on time and very welcoming. She has a wealth of information that she gladly shares and is focused on giving her guests the best tour possible. Our Loch Lomond, Inveraray and Argyll tour was spectacular. The weather was a little wet in the beginning while touring the town of Luss (definitely worth a return in better weather) but it cleared up and the rest of the day was great. We especially enjoyed touring Inveraray Castle. We had lunch in Inveraray Town and it was a great place to do some souvenir shopping. There was never any worry about getting back to the ship in time, Laura was on top of everything at all times. All in all it was a great day with a great guide. We would not hesitate to recommend Experienced Tours.

We were lucky enough to have Laura as our guide for our cruise stop in Edinburgh. Laura was on time (early, actually) and very welcoming. She has a wealth of information that she gladly shares and is focused on giving her guests the best tour possible. Our Edinburgh Full Day tour with access to Edinburgh Castle was wonderful. Laura planned the day perfectly to try and avoid the traffic and heavy volume of tourists. We had plenty of time to explore the Castle as well as time to walk (and shop) along the Royal Mile. Laura was great at handling all the traffic around Edinburgh as she took us to various sites and wonderful lookouts. It was a great tour with a great guide. We would not hesitate to recommend Experienced Tours.

The BEST day I have ever had. A birthday present from my husband 🥰 Laura was amazing from start to finish. She was so knowledgable and answered any questions we had. She was so friendly, we got on so well. She booked us some lunch pert way through the tour, which was a lovely touch. I’m a HUGE Mary Queen of Scots fan and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide to show me round Mary’s favourite places, where she was born, where she was crowned queen, spent time doing her favourite things, it was just amazing. If I were to come back for another tour, I would want Laura to be my guide, she was brilliant. From start to finish it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thanks again for the best day ❤️

This may have been the best tour I’ve ever been on!! I don’t have enough words to describe how fantastic Laura was! We came as strangers but truly left as friends. My group of four laughed our way through South Queensferry, Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond, and everywhere in between. Laura made time to go above and beyond our expectations!! We were able to make stops that we hadn’t expected or known to make, like feeding Highland Coos and the Kelpies. Her tour was so personalized and she laughed right along with us. This will be our first of hopefully many, many trips to Scotland, and I know exactly who I’m reaching out to when I return. Thank you, Experienced Tours and Laura, for the best tour ever!!!

Sandy is an awesome tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about both the local area and Scottish history. We did the 1 day custom tour and it was truly the best day of our vacation. The van was clean, comfortable, and had wifi which helped keep my teenager happy. I would highly recommend Experienced Tours to anyone wanting a quality tour operator in Scotland.

My 3 sisters and I spent months talking about and planning our tour of Scotland to see where our grandparents were from. We were so fortunate to have Laura MacKenzie as our driver/guide. Laura is knowledgeable and informative, but was also a lot of fun as a companion throughout the tour. She was very adaptable as she added a couple of things we wanted to see as the tour progressed, but also, based on her expert local knowledge, took us to a couple of out of the way spots she thought we would enjoy. We also travelled in great comfort - loved the minivan! We highly recommend Experienced Tours, and Laura as your driver/guide. She made our tour an amazing experience!

Ryan was our tour guide and the tour to Isle of Skye, the Highlands, and Loch Ness was absolutely amazing! He took us to a waterfall not listed on the itinerary and it was stunning! He even pulled over so we could feed and pet the cows! We were also fortunate enough to do the ferry ride. The entire tour was so worth the price and it gave us memories that will last a lifetime. Ryan was able to accommodate our requests, we had lunch at a great little pub, and talking and laughing with Ryan was constant. It was myself, my husband, and my sister-in-law, along with my adult nephew. Would definitely recommend and if we are ever back this way, we will use Expereinced Tours.
