A tour with Emma, is as if you were really in Outlander.
Our tour started in Edinburgh at the Queensferry Port, from the Regal Princess. Emma picked us up at the ship, and we started our tour. There were just my wife and me on our tour. We were trying to add additional people from the ship, but our failure was now our success. Having this tour now just us, let Emma adjust our tour to fit only our desires. As we had traveled, Emma spoke of what to expect, and included her actual experiences visiting the actual filming of Outlander. We were so fortunate to have Emma’s experiences added to our visiting the many castles. She also had many pictures showing what the courtyards actually looked when filming the episodes. This immersed us into the scenes making us a part of the filming. We could not have asked for a better person to be our guide. Emma even found the time to take us to the Kelpies. What are Kelpies? They are part of Scottish Folklore, dangerous water horses, found lurking near deep lochs or fast rivers. These Kelpies are made of structural steel with a stainless steel cladding, and are 30 meters (98 feet) high. This was a real treat to see them. We will never forget the enthusiasm and graciousness of Emma. She took such good care of us, making sure we saw all we wanted and putting our tour together so well.

      Fantastic day in the Highlands
Emma created a lovely private tour into the Highlands for our group of 9 and we had such a wonderful time! Dave was an excellent, knowledgeable guide and our driver Paul was wonderful. Truly fantastic day!

Wonderful way to see Beautiful Scotland and to see Outlander backdrops!!!
Went on the 5 day Immersion Outlander tour! Anne and Emma were excellent guides! Bus drivers Bill and Paul were wonderful drivers and very Friendly. Lots of Outlander iconic places with plenty of time to take pictures. The accommodations at Williams Craig cottages were comfortable and cozy! Loved the atmosphere of a bed and breakfast! Anne and Emma kept to a schedule everyday that allowed us to get to places timely. I would like to recommend that customers wear comfortable walking shoes. There are many castles with stairs and you don't want to miss anything! There are many chances to shop for souvenirs. Every meal was delicious and enertainment was over the top! I truly enjoyed every minute and made friends along the way! Thank You Anne and Emma, Bill and Paul

      Trip of a Lifetime
To Emma, Paul and Anne, I realize that I am extremely late writing this review, for which I apologize dearly. The reason being, after we arrived home, I spent the last 3 weeks RE-WATCHING Outlander! The Classic Outlander tour was so captivating and timeless, that I actually thought I was in the 1700s. We all had the most wonderful time with you both. Although, the best part of the entire day was being able to locate the homestead of our ancestors. You were so accommodating to changing the itinerary in a moment's notice, which we thank you. We look forward to our next trip to Scotland, furthermore our next encounter!

      THE BEST OUTLANDER TOURS!!
We chose Mary’s Meanders for our tour after many months of debating. Emma was our guide and she made feel like family. We were magically transported back in time and felt as if were part of the Outlander show. I will highly recommend Emma and Mary’s Meanders if you want to truly experience Scotland in a very unique way. Thank you Emma for making our trip so special! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing tour of Scotland with an Outlander twist!
This was our first time to Scotland and Anne and Emma made this trip so magical. They were so warm and accommodating, we saw so many sites that were both historical as well as sites from Outlander, which made each location doubly cool to see. We were with them for the 3 day tour, and they were both very knowledgable as well with various facts and locations. After taking a large group bus tour to the highlands which was much more impersonal, it made me miss the personal touch with Anne and Emma! I would definitely come back to Scotland and take another tour with them, and anyone interested in a great tour of Scotland should absolutely book with them.

      Must do!!!!
Our tour was absolutely incredible, better than anticipated!! We did the one day Outlander tour, which visited Blackness castle, Hopetoun house, Midhope castle, Doune castle and Culross. Our tour guide, Anne, was an absolute delight and was very knowledgeable on not just the history of the sites, but also other Scottish history in general and we learned so much!! If we’re back, I would do it all over again, and will recommend to anyone we know. ☺️

Excellent Tour - Highly Recommend - Would do it again
This was the best tour that we have ever experienced!!! We saw so much of Scotland and Outlander Locations. When I watch Outlander now, I can visualize actually being at Fort William, Culloden, Castle Leoch, Gardens of Versailles, Arsdmuir Prison, Inverness (Falkland), etc. When we visited Lallybroch, we entered into the Pigeon/Dove Building which was also shown in Season 7. We were also handfasted at Lallybroch. Even if you are not an outlander fan, the beauty of Scotland, its Historic Locations, food and even Hagis can be experienced within this tour. Mary and Emma are wonderful individuals and the evening entertainment at the cottages and the evening restaurants are fun, good and make you feel that you have experienced the true Scottish charm. Even though I have experienced this tour once; I would gladly go again.

Outlander fans will love this tour!
Fantastic private Outlander tour with Anne. Got to see so many of my favourite spots from the series but what was even better was Anne’s rich knowledge of Scottish history that she was able to share about each site we visited. My husband and 15 year old son have never seen Outlander and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Emma for making the tour easy to book. Would highly recommend.

A trip that brightened our spirits, despite the rain 😆
In lieu of a shore excursion, we opted for arranging a private tour when in the Edinburgh/South Queensferry Port. Emma was sensational. Taking our vision and planning a great day of sites in Stirling - which included lunch at Portcullis and a kilt fitting at House of Henderson. Last by not least, the Kelpies and Midhope Castle (from Outlander)!! Give her a call ... you won't be disappointed. PS thanks Bill for driving! Worst weather in 40 years we were told (which did not dampen our spirits) and he kept us safe and on track.

      Unforgettable Ancestry tour!
We had a lovely 2 days with Anne on our Ancestry tour. It was so exciting to visit places my husband's ancestors lived, worked, and attended church. Our customized tour took us to the borders, a couple Outlander locations, St. Andrews, Dundee, and Kirriemuir. We had so much fun exploring and we saw so much! We would definitely recommend an Ancestry tour with Mary's Meanders.

At the end of April my daughter, sister and I enjoyed the BEST Mary Queen of Scots tour with Ann! It was our first full day in the UK and Ann provided a fascinating picture of Scotland's history. She is passionate about this topic and so very personable. We had other tours during our trip and Ann's was by far our favorite -- she set the bar high! We highly recommend any tour with Ann, especially Mary Queen of Scots!

We spent a wonderful day with Anne and Emma! They were kind enough to change the meeting place to accommodate our husband's tee times and then spent a very soggy and chilly day answering every question we could possibly come up with about Scotland. Anne is an expert in Scottish history and shared so many interesting facts with us. Emma was along for the ride that day and was kind enough to share information about any other questions we came up with. They were both very friendly and personable making it a very comfortable day together. I would very highly recommend spending time with these ladies. Next trip to Scotland they will be a must for our trip!!

We cannot thank Anne enough for making our love of Scotland grow even more.
We visited Stirling Castle, Culross, Dunfermline Abbey, Falkland Palace and town, etc. She made Mary Queen of Scots come alive , as well as explaining several Outlander sites in depth. Her knowledge and friendliness were exceptional..The following day we used Mary’s Meanders self-guided tour of Edinburgh. We found it to be very helpful, informative and enjoyable.

My sister and I had an incredible day with Anne as she took us on a customized private tour incorporating many Mary Queen of Scots, Outlander, and Queen Margaret sites. She was very knowledgeable, pleasant, accommodating, and thoughtful. We learned a tremendous amount of information which supplanted our research prior to the trip. We would love to go all over again. Definitely a winner!
