The best trip to Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands
Alan, our tour guide was phenomenal! It truly makes a huge difference to travel with a guide who is so well informed about the history of the land and was able to make all the correct stops and show us all the best sites. They were also very flexible and accommodating to the changing needs of the group which we really appreciated. Highly recommend to travel with this tour group if you want a comprehensive experience of what the Scottish highlands can give you.

          GREAT SCOT!!
Such a great time with Michael! If you’re wanting to know the ancient history of everything Scotland, probably not for you. But if you want an experience that will leave you with a greater appreciation of the country & more recent history, you can’t go wrong! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

          Great time!
Booked a bespoke 2 days from Edinburgh, and were most pleased. Saw what we wanted, made some changes for the second day, and all went well. Knowledgeable and engaging guide.

          Back In Time
We had a wonderful day tour with Michael to the Highlands and Glencoe. Michael was very informative about anything we ask him about and he lived around the corner from where we stayed in Sterling. He was very patient with us and made lots of photo stops along the way. The scenery and the history he told us as we drove along was fantastic even when there was a little rain. We ended our tour and said goodbye to Michael and had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant Brea that Scottish Guilded Tours reserved for us . I would highly recommend Scottish Guided Tours to everyone looking for a wonderful Scottish adventure.

This custom tour was a delight in every way!
This custom tour was a delight in every way! This is the only way to see the country side! Our driver, Alan, was on time and on top of every part of our plan for the day. He was kind, courteous and a wealth of knowledge about his beautiful country. This is a worry free kind of day, allowing you to just see the true beauty of Scotland. Our tour was customized for our diverse group. Our first stop was in St. Andrews at the Himalayas Putting Club. What fun! (Do this, even if you're not a golfer.) The day continued with exploring with Alan as our tour guide, an excellent lunch at a local restaraunt. Later a short hike and mythological history from Alan, a distillery visit and much more. This is the way to see and learn about Scotland.

I would highly recommend this company and Michael
Michael was AWESOME and was willing to personalize our day trip to St. Andrews based upon our interests. He was also extremely knowledgeable with all of the sights visited and he helped us immerse ourselves in the people and culture of Scotland.

          Best Day in Scotland
Michael was a great driver and tour guide and also an entertaining conversationalist. He took us to as many places as we could squeeze into one day, including Sterling Castle, the Kelpies, a drive by Doune Castle (Winterfell in Game of Thrones), and of course a visit with some highland coos. We had a great day and it was a favorite of our trip to Scotland. Would definitely book again!

A Fabulous Day at St. Andrews, Falkland, and Other Scenic Stops!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our all-day tour of St Andrews, Falkland, and other scenic stops in Scotland. Our guide, Alan, greeted us promptly at our cruise ship in Edinburgh, dressed in a kilt and a thistle (purple) jacket. The van used for our trip was comfortable for seven guests, and Alan’s lively commentary was easy to understand, and full of facts without including too many details. The stop in Falkland satisfied both the Outlander fans and those wanting to do bit of shopping and have a tea or coffee. We had plenty of time in St Andrews, as was our wish, to explore the course, enjoy lunch at Forgan’s Restaurant, and shop for both golf-related items and other mementos of our visit to Scotland. The trip back to our ship was accomplished in a comfortable amount of time and included a stop in a quaint fishing village for photos and restroom breaks. Several of our group even had time to stop at a local pub in South Queensferry for a final pint before we sailed away from Scotland. Also of note, is that my emails to Niall and Kylie to plan this fabulous day were always answered promptly and completely, putting my mind at ease. Scottish Guided Tours is a quality company and you will be very happy touring Scotland with them.

          A Darling Trip to Scotland!
We went on a four-day, three-night tour with Andrew. The views were absolutely breathtaking and Andrew knew all the ins and outs to make the most of our time! He was very accommodating to changes and kids! We had a super time and can't wait to come back.

          Absolutely unforgettable experience
If you're like me and research every possible travel option - look no further - this is your sign to book with Scottish Guided Tours. We just wrapped a 5-day tour of the Highlands and Isle of Skye and it was one of the best travel experiences we've ever had. Even writing this review probably won't do it justice. Our guide, Niall, and his staff made us feel welcomed and valued in every interaction we had leading up to the trip and they took care of every detail. Once we began our trip, it was clear this was something special. Niall took the time to get to know our family to ensure our experience was personalized and exciting. He was so kind, funny, and warm - always answering our many questions, ensuring we were comfortable, and sharing his own life and experiences with us. We had come with a big wishlist of "must sees" and we were able to check off each one and more - with Niall taking us to spots that added so much meaning to our trip. The days were packed with adventure and seemed to fly by because of how engaging the tour was. We truly felt like we were able to see so much of Scotland due to Niall's excellent planning. Niall is also so incredibly knowledgeable and a phenomenal storyteller. Our days together were spent taking in incredible scenery, exploring castles and ruins, falling in love with Scotland's beauty, listening to the intriguing history of Scotland, and being entertained by the folklore and legends that make Scotland feel so magical. We felt like Niall was part of our family and we loved getting to know him as much as we loved touring Scotland. We've already started talking about a return trip to Scotland, and when we do, there's no doubt we'll book with Scottish Guided Tours again, it was the absolute highlight of our trip.

Alnwick Castle, Viking Coast, and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne
This tour was the highlight of our entire trip to Scotland! Our tour guide's name was Calum, and he was extremely knowledgeable, very kind, and willing to answer any history question I threw at him! I booked this tour mainly wanting to see Alnwick Castle (as a huge HP fan), and it was gorgeous, but exploring the Holy Island of Lindisfarne was actually my favorite part of the tour. Calum gave us some free time to explore Lindisfarne, and we saw parts of Scotland so glorious, it was like stepping into another world - rocky coastlines, dark waters, ancient ruins, an enormous castle, cobblestone paths, an ancient chapel, cold winds - I could go on. I won't be forgetting the Holy Island any time soon. Lindisfarne also makes excellent mead! Calum was also very flexible with our requests. I was hoping to see Barter Books while in Alnwick, one of the largest secondhand bookstores in Britain, built inside of an old railway station. It was absolutely gorgeous, and I had plenty of time to purchase some keepsakes there. I only wish I had saved more open space in my luggage to bring back more old books! Calum took us down routes that allowed us to view parts of Edinburgh and the east coast that were suited to our personal interests and see places I hadn't even thought of looking up. I'm very grateful he did this, because I learned about other parts of Scottish history that were too interesting to miss out on. I also saw some of my favorite views in all of Scotland this way. This tour was worth every penny and was easily the best tour I've ever been on. Many thanks to Scottish Guided Tours and Calum for an amazing trip!

A day at St. Andrews and the Highlands
The tour was St Andrews and Fife Fishing Villages. Spending the day with our tour guide, Michael H was outstanding. We had the best time. Michael was so friendly, knowledgeable of Scottish history, and the village of St. Andrews. He knew we were golfers and made our visit to the course something we will always remember. Thanks Michael

          Best guided trip ever!
This trip was simply the best guided trip we have ever taken. What made this adventure especially special was our guide, Niall. His knowledge of Scotland's great history and folklore kept us immersed and entertained the entire 3 days. Since this was our private tour we were able to go anywhere, especially down small roads and trails to see sites that most tourists never see. It was beautiful and fantastic. Many times we would see tour buses stopped at easy to get to sites but we just passed them by and continued on into the Highlands exploring remote tranquil sites. It was obvious that Scottish Guided Tours wanted us to be able to determine how we spent our time and what we wanted to see. Since we love to hike and our schedule flexible we were able to explore even more. Most tours give you photo opps and limited time, but not this tour. We could spend as much time as we wanted. Thank you Niall for a wonderful experience that my sons, Mary and I will never forget. We will explore another part of Scotland on our next trip and want you there to guide us. Sincerely, Steven Perkins

I cannot recommend using Scottish Guided Tours enough! I was a perfect day and the best money spent. We had Michael take us to St. Andrews and the beach towns around there. He knew so much history and made sure we saw exactly what we wanted. He knew areas off the beaten track and history around it all. Michael really does his homework. We saw the cathedral and castle in St. Andrews as well as the Old Course and lunch at the club house. We also stopped in Falkland and a couple other little towns on the coast with a stop at a little church that turned out to be one of our favorite sites. I wish we had scheduled all of our tours in Scotland with them. It is well worth the money to see exactly what you want to see how you want to see it. Michael asked us lots of questions to get to know us and understand what we were interested in to make the experience the best for us. We based our 6 days in Scotland in Edinburgh and traveled from there using 2 group tours and 1 day with Scottish Guided Tours. I definitely should have used Michael instead of one of the group tours. I will remember our day with Michael forever!
