Our Scotch Whisky Trail trip with Sandy to the Lindores Abbey Distillery was just amazing! We even went to a beautiful lunch spot at Kenmore! It was magical!!

My parents and I have been on several tours across the UK, and decided on trying a private tour. This is by far the best way to tour, and we cannot wait to try the other tours offered. The guide Andy was fantastic! Super friendly, very informative, and super accommodating to our interests.

This was the tour of a lifetime! Our tour guide, Calais, was so knowledgable about all the sites (especially Sterling Castle) Even though it rained just a bit, he was so completely entertaining we hardly noticed! He found us a wonderful spot for lunch in Culross and timed the entire trip so perfectly that we found ourselves viewing the Kelpies just as it got dark, exactly as planned! We could not have asked for a better time! Thank you Calais, for a perfect day in Scotland!

It was simply an amazing experience that we had. The weather was not too good to start with but Michael, who was our tour guide, made up for the bad weather with some really interesting and engrossing stories. We also hit a roadblock due to a fallen tree just as we were progressing and Michael was kind enough to make an impromptu suggestion on alternative that we can go for as the tree would have taken long to move. He not only did save time, but the places he suggested and took us to were really breathtaking. Strongly suggest taking a tour with experienced tours and once again thanks a ton Michael for being an incredible host

My mom and I regret booking with two different tour companies prior to coming Edinburgh because Experienced Tours was the far superior experience! We wish we had done every single tour with Experienced Tours! Our guide, Sandy, was knowledgeable, funny, friendly, charming, thoughtful, personable…in fact there’s not enough room to list all of Sandy’s positive attributes! He is truly a master of his craft. Not only did he show us all of Edinburgh’s must-sees but he also took us to hidden gems and places we didn’t even know we wanted to see! His passion for and command of Scottish history and culture is evident and contagious. He left us thoroughly invested in wanting to learn more about this great wee country! We typically don’t revisit countries but we are definitely coming back to Scotland and will reach out to Sandy when we do!

Experienced Tours is the best! Our 2 day Whisky Speyside Discovery tour with Sandy was a trip of a lifetime. From the first call Sandy was extremely helpful in planning our custom trip that was tailored to our timeline and wishlist of places to visit. He was professional and friendly. He recommended distilleries and arranged the tour to fit our schedule and the flow of locations. We were excited right away. When Sandy picked us up at our hotel in Edinburgh we were impressed with the quality of comfort of the luxury van. Along our trip Sandy was knowledgeable and shared all of his local facts and stories. He was personable and easy to travel with. We had so much fun! The drive to Speyside is stunning and we stopped at every distillery we wanted to, plus some extras! Experienced Tours has contacts at the local hotels and arranged a wonderful stay at The Dowans Hotel. Even though we had a short time frame, the experience never felt rushed. The distilleries Sandy recommended were amazing, each one is a special experience. Sandy was on top of everything and we were very happy to spend two days talking and learning as we traveled. We had the pleasure and joy of spending two days on a private tour with the Amazing Andy. He was just lovely. He helped us plan a day that our tour company had left unplanned, he was super knowledgeable and he rerouted us to a distillery that we we preferred to one that had been booked for us. He was one of the top highlights of our trip. The kilt was such a nice touch. Wish we’d spent more time with him. We saw so much more with him than we would have without.

Jamie, our guide provided us with a wonderful experience. It was great opportunity to see Loch Ness and the Highlands. What really made the trip so special was Jamie’s knowledge of the area and especially the history. This was a great way to spend the day and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

Michael was amazing. He showed up wearing Kilts which just added to the experience. He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make our trip perfect. He totally succeeded. I would not hesitate to use Experienced Tours again. They did a great job!

Sandy was great, the trip was well planned. The vehicle was excellent and on time. The weather caused a small detour Sandy handled it professionally. He was very knowledgeable.

We stayed at Rusacks Hotel. The Saint Andrews Golf Course was in the back of the Hotel. It was a surreal experience! The food at the hotel was great. The staff was very accommodating too! It was fun walking around exploring the place. We had a great time!!!

From the moment Sandy picked us up, we knew we were in for a wonderful day trip experience around Edinburgh. His historical knowledge of the city and surrounding area is top notch! He tailored our day to take in some hidden gems and provided us lots of recommendations for other places to visit in Scotland. We ate lunch at a quaint pub that has been serving up quality food for generations. So good, even Queen Elizabeth was known to visit. Would I recommend this tour? YES!
