    Excellent service
His lordship Alan was a perfect host in our Day tour of Edinburg city including Roslyn chapel and military tattoo. Even though we weren’t expected to bow and curtsy in front of him his stories and knowledge of the area was excellent. Ha ha. I would highly recommend this company to my friends. Well done Alan.

Do not miss this in Edinburgh!
This is a not to be missed event. The music, marching and light show were amazing! We were in the last row of the stadium, but could see everything! The bagpipes and Scottish dancers were the highlight!

Last Minute Cancellation of a booked Tour
Our tour was to take place on June 10, 2023 at 9:00 AM. On June 9, 2023, at 10:18 AM Toronto time (3:18 PM London england time) We receivied an e-mail saying "Unfortunately your tour operator for Private Day Trip to St Andrews Dunfermline and the Fife Coast from Edinburgh had to cancel your booking." No other explanation was given. Needless to say this late notice left us no time to make other arrangements. Very disappointing. Trip advisor has refunded the cost of the tour.

Great day to spend exploring on a bus trip
The trip to St Andrew’s was very enjoyable. Our driver Graeme was very entertaining and very knowledgeable, giving us plenty of time at each stop to explore. Bus was, wry comfortable also.

    Most Wonderful Tour of Edinburgh
My wife and I had a half day City tour of Edinburgh. It was quite marvelous and unforgettable. We have taken private tours all over the world and this was one of the best tours ever. Alan, our driver and the company owner, met us promptly at the pier in a clean and comfortable van. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Edinburgh and all things Scottish. He has wonderful stories to share about each historical site that really brings things to life. Since we wanted to shop for some specific Scottish items, we chose not to go into many of the historical sites he took us to. He knew all the right shops for us to visit, where the goods were high quality, prices were fair and the shopkeepers very pleasant. He was very flexible, adjusting the typical tour schedule to meet our interests. All in all, it was a most enjoyable afternoon. You can’t go wrong with booking a tour with Ecosse Executive.

    Superior tour guide
The day was spectacular not only because the weather was awesome (May 24), but Allan (the owner) was even better! He made our stay in Edinburgh outstanding. He's extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous. He is patient, gives ample time to see the sights, Provides many historical facts to link the current state of the city with the past of Scotland's history He is highly recommended, don't look any further and do yourself a favor, book with his company when visiting Edinburgh. You will not regret it!!!

"Most Memorable Private Tour of Laphroig Distillery"
We had a private tour with Ecosse executive on October 30, 2022. We had three days to spend in Edinburgh and I wanted to visit Laphroig distillery during one of those days. I spoke to the concierge at the Hotel who recommended them. Then I got in touch with Alan who arranged the tour. We negotiated the price and agreed on the details. They had a private driver take us there and back in a beautiful limousine. We left the hotel at 8 Am and returned at 2AM the next day. It was an extraordinary tour and an absolutely beautiful experience. The driver, Paul, was excellent and highly professional yet humble and down to earth person. They arranged for the ferry across the channel on the way to the distillery and back as well as all other road requirements. Importantly the price was right and worth every penny the experience and service we received. In fact, we are planning to have a custom tour of Scotland with them in the next year or so. Thank you both Alan and Paul. You guys are the best!

Grossly overpriced, with some good points
The experience - other than being overpriced - included a visit to Rosslyn Chapel, which has to be one of the most overrated tourist sites in the world. In summary, it’s dumb. It was built (and not completed) as a vanity chapel by a rich family, and has no relevance whatsoever to the year 2022. Also, I don’t care about either the novel or the movie about Da Vinci Code. The military Tattoo was outstanding, but tickets for that (on our ticket stub) were about £60, so far, far less than what we were charged for this excursion.

    Horrible experience!
WARNING! We booked this tour about TWO MONTHS in advance. We were Very excited. LESS THAN 24 hours before, it was cancelled!! Viator said Ecosse Executive cancelled but they are also at fault since their subcontractor. Luckily our travel agent found a replacement but in short notice, it was much more expensive! I won’t be using Viator again!

    Edinburgh Military Tattoo
The tattoo was GREAT, beautiful weather, great seats, wonderful program. The only problem I had was that they did not announce who the different groups were. They were selling a book about the size of a good sized magazine but I just wanted what I thought of as a "program", something similar to what you get when you go to a play. There was nothing like that. The only group announced was from New Zealand, don't know why the others were not. With some of the groups, you could tell, it was obvious who they were, others not so much. But, I do highly recommend. You just might want to consider buying the book.

    Great tour
Alan was a wonderful guide and entertaining host. The entire tour was lovely, I wish we had more time on the Royal Mile, but other than that we all had an amazing day! My (83yo) dad had a wonderful time on his bucket list trip with his daughters. As a plus, he has very comfortable van.

    Excursion of a life time
Cannot say enough about this tour. Probably the highlight of our trip. The tour company was Ecosse Executive. Our tour guide was the owner, Alan Fee. This is a very professional, courteous company. We were picked up in a Mercedes vehicle that was like a limo where 4 people could sit, 2 each side facing each other with lots of room. Vehicle was clean and in great shape. Alan is so very knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge. He took us around to some great spots in Edinburgh and pointed out areas of interest. We had lots of time to look around and get great photos. Then off to Rosslyn Chapel, which again has so much history and worth the trip. Our Scottish dinner was delicious. What a great spot. Wish I could remember the name to leave them a review. Loved every bite. And Alan taught us the "proper" way to drink Scottish whiskey. Then off to the Military Tattoo. The performers were the best of the best. Even through the pouring rain. The vehicle was waiting for us when we were done and promptly brought us back to the hotel. Our driver for the excursion, Alan (yes, also Alan) was great. Felt very comfortable and safe the entire trip. Thanks to you both and thanks to Tony who brought us back to the hotel. What an experience. One that we will never forget and worth every dime.

Booked a full day tour with Ecosse Executive Tours through Trip Advisor three months in advance of our day visit in Edinburgh so that my 80-something parents could enjoy the city without exhausting themselves. I confirmed the booking directly with the company two months ago and received a pleasant response that our booking was confirmed, and I could rest assured we would be well taken care of. Today we disembarked, happily walked up to Alan, the tour director, only to be told that we would be traveling with a different tour guide today. Paul, he said, would be here by 9am (the contracted time for our tour to begin), "I promise." And with that, Alan drove off with a different party. At 9:20am, after watching the precious minutes of our limited stay in Edinburgh tick away, we decided we probably needed to pivot as neither the "promise" nor the contracted-and-paid-for tour were going to be fulfilled. Thanks Ecosse and Trip Advisor for a thoroughly disappointing, stressful and crappy experience.

I am so sorry that this happened and that your shore excursion was ruined. When I saw you at the quay side I was under the impression that your driver/guide was on his way and would be with you very shortly. Unfortunately that didn't turn out to be the case, as I found out later on that day when it was way to late in the afternoon to arrange another guide for you. It will be of no interest to you I know, but that person was dismissed on the spot and no longer works for my company. If you ever come back to Edinburgh, I would like to offer my personal guiding services to you free of charge for a full day Edinburgh City Tour. Regards, Alan

This was a fantastic experience. Alan was professional, respectful, courteous, always mindful of our comfort/care/needs, full of history and interesting facts. So many that we started writing them down so that we could remember them all! We started joking (my daughter and I) saying that we'd make another note of the Fee-isms. Alan's last name is Fee. Worth every cent and more! He gave us the best tips, best jokes, best insight, and most importantly......a lifetime of wonderful memories. I have made a note to keep his contact information and definitely come back and tour with him again. I believe that he is even opening up his personal residence (it's spectacular by the way) as a B&B and if it's available, I'll be staying there with him upon our return! Can't say enough good things about this company. You'd be wasting your money to book with anyone else.

We were picked up on time by our amazing guide Alan Fee at our hotel. We spent the full day going around Edinburgh and seeing as much as possible. Alan made us see Scotland and especially Edinburgh in a special way. Alan has a sense of humor, a kindness that made our day special

My daughter did some research on local tour guides when we decided to visit Edinburgh this summer. She looked at several sites, read numerous reviews, and came to the decision that Alan would be our best bet. We booked, emailed back and forth a bit about an itinerary, and were set. We weren't sure what to expect having not used personal tour guides before, but nothing could have prepared us for the outcome. Alan was amazing! He was very well versed in local history and had extensive knowledge in general regarding Scotland and the United Kingdom. Alan made sure we saw everything on our list even managed to squeeze in a side trip to Rosslyn Chapel when we mentioned wanting to go there. The day flew by, and we found ourselves not wanting it to end. I highly recommend Alan's tour guide services through Ecosse Executive. It was the best way to experience Edinburgh and all it had to offer.

We stopped in Edinburgh for one day before leaving on a cruise to Norway and chose a full day tour with Alan well before our trip. Unfortunately, we arrived with one of us on a broken foot (broken 1 day before we left and in a wheelchair) and one of us having lost his wallet at the airport the day before. Given that start, we didn't know what to expect and we couldn't have been happier about our experience. How do we describe the best tour guide we have ever had? He was extraordinary in every way, with a tremendous knowledge of Edinburgh and its history. He was FUNNY, irreverent, and sarcastic, JUST WHAT WE NEEDED! When he heard about our woes, he jumped into action. Task 1 - he found a chemist to replace lost hearing aid batteries (lost with the wallet). Task 2 - turned on the internet in his oversized Mercedes so that lost credit cards could be canceled. Task 3 - found the RBS so that lost money could be replaced and bank accounts frozen. Task 4 - in the remaining time, give us a wonderful, informative, fact-filled tour of his city to allow us to forget our problems. He even promised to send us written anecdotes of some of the stories he told during the day, so we could read them to our grandchildren. At the end of the day, we sadly said goodbye, gave him a hug and thanked him for saving the day! We could not recommend him more highly!

Hi Robin! WOW!! How can I respond to a review like that?? It was my absolute pleasure to help sort these things out, and I'm delighted that you had a good day. I hope that you enjoyed the cruise and things got back to normal. I have not forgotten about my promise, and will be in touch when things get a little quieter here. Warmest regards, Alan
