Overview
Join this small group tour (maximum 16 passengers) and travel to the amazing and mysterious 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, across the historic Scotland/England border and south to Hadrian’s Wall, a World Heritage Site celebrating the power – and northern limit – of the Roman Empire. Other highlights on this tour include the mighty Abbeys of Melrose and Jedburgh as you journey at a relaxed pace through the beautiful Borderlands.
Highlights
  • Guarantee a spot on a Rosslyn Chapel and Hadrian’s Wall tour
  • Discover little-known legends about the Rosslyn Chapel
  • Stay comfortable on the drive in a climate-controlled Mercedes minivan
  • Save the stress of planning rides with included round-trip transport
What to Expect
This Rosslyn Chapel and Hadrian’s Wall tour starts with pickup from central Edinburgh. Once you board your minivan, get ready for the ride over to Rosslyn Chapel. At the chapel, take in the stunning architecture as your guide tells you about the chapel’s history and secrets. The Rosslyn Chapel was a filming location for The Da Vinci Code, and many people flock from all over the world to see it. Afterward, it’s on to the town of Melrose. Here you can enjoy lunch (own expense) before continuing your journey to Hadrian’s Wall. Stop at Housesteads Fort in Northumberland National Park, and take a short hike along the main wall. On your way back to Edinburgh, make a stop at the Jedburgh Abbey to snap some photos. Your tour ends with a drop-off back in Edinburgh.

We had no trouble with the different currencies because we only stopped at the gift shop for Hadrian’s Wall in England and they accepted what we had for money. Everything else on the tour was technically in Scotland.

It’s confortable for small groups and they only allow enough people to enjoy the comforts of the van and tour. It lasts about 9 hours and is very entertaining.

I enjoyed my tours with the Wee Red Bus. The maximum amount of people is 16: you have more time at each stop. I did a larger tour and the bus was packed with so many people. We didn’t have as many stops or time. That being... More
