Stay wild with this tour to Scotlands wild rough nature 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🩵
This tour has been absolutely stunning! Not just a wee bit;) Our amazing guide Tom introduced us to his gorgeous „Haggis playlist“ with not just pipes but lots of Taylor Swift after we had asked for it🩵 The tour itself was perfectly fitted, not too much time in the coach, but time to stop, explore and grab sth to eat or a coffee and then head on - incl two nights on the Isle of Skye 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 so rough, such a wild nature! Haggis‘ hashtag #Staywild absolutely matched this tour and Scotlands beauty! Highly recommended and sure to join again! (but: upgrade your room to the B&B, the Skye Inn, the dinner there is delicious;)

nice tour, could have been shortened in duration
Tour was good, excellent guide, Noah, who was knowledgeable about his country. Quite engaging and energetic. Tour could have been reduced to 6 hours instead of a full day. SItes were very interesting, and exactly as advertised.

      A magical time!
This was my first solo trip and I am SO thankful I went with Haggis Adventures. Our tour guide Rich truly made this experience spectacular. We fit so many amazing sights into 5 days. Rich was hilarious, witty and so knowledgeable. It seemed like every landmark we passed he knew the history, lore and had some sort of personal story, which made time on the bus fly by. The total group was about 30 people - a combination of 2 bus tour bookings, with the Haggis Adventure folks staying in hostels, and the Highland Explorer folks staying in hotels. Rich went out of his way to accommodate the guests, and even helped me get a last minute ticket on the Jacobite steam train, which was a highlight of my time in Scotland. We were usually on our own for lunch and dinners, but Rich always had great recommendations and many of the bus group mingled and ate together for meals. We had a blast at the pubs in the evening and enjoyed much live music. I made lovely friends on this trip and would recommend this company to anyone! Already dreaming of my next visit back to Scotland.

      Road trip with friends
I did a combined tour of Haggis Adventures and Highland Explorer. This tour was the perfect combination of history, legends, short hikes, city and picturesque landscape. Thanks to our guide and driver Rich, we quickly build a personal relationship with the country and its people, We heart great (personal) stories, gained knowledge and had many laughs. Rich, you are a marvellous storyteller! Thanks to his numerous tips we enjoyed wonderful food every day (for every budget) and an unforgettable evening in the pub! The very diverse group grew together quickly, so that on day 2 you already have the feeling of a road trip with friends. I couldn't have wished for more, happy to do it again!

      Harry Potter Train
Did the Harry Potter Train Tour. The Tour was amazing. Our guide, Ryan, had unbelievable knowledge/trivia about the area. He kept us entertained every minute. Kudos to him and Highland Explorer Tours for immersing the participants in this adventure. Great highlight … up close with the Hairy Coos :D

Like a road trip with friends
I usually travel individually, but I'm very happy to have joined this tour. I would have never seen and experienced so much in such a short time on my own and certainly wouldn't have discovered some of the spots. The tour was the perfect mix of history, legends, short hikes, city and picturesque landscape. Thanks to our guide and driver Rich, you not only quickly build up a personal relationship with the country and its people, you also hear great (personal) stories, gain knowledge and have a laugh. Rich, you are a marvellous storyteller! Not to forget that thanks to his numerous tips we enjoyed wonderful food every day (for every budget) and an unforgettable evening in the pub! Thanks to him, everyone was in a great mood, open-minded and the very diverse group grew together quickly, so that on day 2 you already have the feeling of a road trip with friends. I couldn't have wished for more, happy to do it again!

      Trip which was cancelled
Booked a 1 day trip from Edinburgh which included Jacobite Steam Train. I booked 8th December to go on 16th May 2024 with friends who were coming from Australia. The train was cancelled March 28th to April 17th then up and running again with fewer carriages. I phoned Haggis Adventures numerous times including 2 days before we were due to go and was told YES the train was running ok. Got an email the day before departure, saying dont be late as coach leaves at 7.15am. We got there at 6.45am only to be told whole trip was cancelled and they had emailed me on the 10th May, which i never received and there was another customer there who hadnt received one either. They told me they had known about the cancellation for 1 week but i had phoned them 2 days before our trip and they had confirmed all was ok. Attitude of customer service was appalling, and my friends and i totally disappointed. They just did not seem to care. Wont be booking with them again. We are getting a full refund but that is not the problem.. Margaret Peace

      Amazing Tour With Cara
Had an absolutely fabulous 5 day adventure with Cara. She was so friendly and went above and beyond what her job called for I got to experience so many special things that wouldn't be possible without this tour. This tour runs at the same time as Haggis Adventures (hostels accommodation) and Highland Explorer Tours (hotel accommodation) which means you get a good mixture of all different ages and backgrounds. Had a blast and would recommend this trip to anyone especially if you get Cara as a guide & driver <3 I so wish that it went for longer, even two weeks would've been amazing.

Scotland tour with Louise as guide/navigator
Louise was such a wonderful guide/navigator! She had so many punny and funny stories and she made sure that we all arrived safely and recommended wonderful restaurants and experiences like the Ceilidh which I had a blast at!

      Haggis Adventures Outlander tour
First and foremost, our tour operator, Ali P. Was absolutely great! She's an excellent bus operator and ensured our safety throughout the duration of the tour. Ali's ability to adjust the schedule on the fly due to timing issues (of no fault of her own) made the trip seamless and fun! The locations were great. The information was wonderful. My biggest piece of advice- DO NOT book through VIATOR. the company fees and "deals" equal out to you paying nearly double what HAGGIS Adventures charges on their own. Don't fall for the "deals" from VIATOR!

The tour lacked information and storytelling. It basically consisted in a drive around sights with the final destination being Stirling castle. No tour or basic context of the history of the castle or village was provided.

The tour was booked with two audio guides in Spanish. Unfortunately the agency does not provide any guidance on how to use them or even how to follow the tour guide through the trip and understand the meaning and story behind the sights.

On one of the stops, the tour guide was going to guide us through a “walk”. It was a trekking path, he provided no information on the conditions of the road so we could assess our ability and left us in the middle of the path with little explanation on how to get to the final destination.

Overall, a poor service an border line irresponsable. I do believe that the tour guide makes all the difference, I booked a tour with the same company the day before and the guide was excellent.

I hope they can improve the service.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. The audio guides come with a map which you are able to follow along with if you wish. Staff are also available at check-in to advise if you need help using the audio guide, and you also have a guide with you all day who is available to advise if you need further help. I would always recommend reaching out while you are on tour, so that the guide can assist on the day. If you are more interested in Scottish lore or history, the guides do respond to feedback so feel free to let them know and they can share more stories about it. All the best, Charlie

I had a one day tour with Haggis Adventures and liked it a lot. The only reason I rated it 4 and not 5 was that our driver/guide made some mistakes while telling us history of Scotland and Mary Queen of Scots. All other stuff was great. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes if you plan on hiking near Loch Lomond.
