Engaging and informative guide
Sep 2020 • Friends
Me and my brother did the West Highland Castles, Mountains and Lochs tour today and what a fantastic day it was! Our driver and guide, Andrew T couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable. We were treated to a fantastic mix of historical facts, myths and legends, personal expiriences in the engaging and humorous commentary as we passed the beautiful landscape. Our only regret is that we will not have the time to do another Timberbush tour during our trip to Edinburgh, but will recommend it to friends and family visiting.

This week it was my second trip with Tiberbush. We have visited the West Highlands, castles and lochs. It was an absolute amazing experience. I would never have imagined, how much you can see in one day. The trip was well organised, we have always been updated by our tour guide, Gary about the schedule. He was brilliant, told us many many interesting facts and history. I would definitely recommend this tour for everyone who loves nature and history but can't choose. Special thanks for Timberbush for the additional covid-19 safety measures on the bus! I hope I can return in September and visit another amazing places with you again!

An unforgettable tour on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond
Nov 2019
My friend and I experienced the most amazing day trip from Edinburgh during our much anticipated trip in November. I'm writing this review now, more than six months later as it was such a beautiful day that my mind still often dwells on it. If you want to get a glimpse of the outstanding wilderness of the Highlands than the West Highlands and Castle day trip is the absolute best choice: you will embark on a great journey through time and space, with the visit of the a few castle (one is the infamous Leoch castle for all the Outlander fans out there!) and the lovely villages of Luss, Inverarey and Loch Lomond! We were super lucky to experience it with Eric as a guide who was just the perfect company, playing Scottish music all along and delighting us with the most interesting stories and legends about this magical land and people. Worth every penny!!

Scotland at your fingertips
Feb 2020
The meeting point is well located, tour bus was confortable and better as only 8 people were in our group which gives you much space to unwind. The tour covers the highlands, castles and lakes, the driver and tour guide Mr. Patrick, was a well experienced driver and a knowledgeable about the history, the surroundings and country. He made sure that we get a photo clicked with the highland cows, saddly we didnt get to click a photo in the snow. Overall the tour was great to see the highlands.

Gary is great!

It was our third tour with Timberbush and Gary showed us that Timberbush has the best driver-guides in the entire world!! There are so much positive things to say about Gary! He is sooo kind, FUNNY, informative, knowladgeable, etc. And it is impossible to be more friendly than him! He showed us wonderful places that we will never forget, we will come back to France with so much beautiful pictures of Scotland and at every stops, he took time for each and everyone of us! And even if we are not perfectly fluent in English, he made sure that we understood what he was saying and actually we didn’t have so much difficulties to understand him thanks to his efforts! Honestly he was perfect! He gave us a day that we’ll never forget! MERCI GARY!

Beautiful Day Out
Feb 2020
“King” Dan was the absolute best guide. He can be my road dawg any day of the week but it I ride with him next time I have to be in charge of the music. Must play Annie Lennox, Emili Sandé, KT Tunstall, and more of the modern Scottish singers. The tour itself was beautiful. The castles were fascinating, and the countryside was breathtaking.

A great day that had me coming back for more
Jun 2019
I signed up for the day long Highland Tour. We left from a convenient spot in Edinburgh and proceeded to have a fun, relaxing, comfortable adventure. Eric was our driver and guide. He was fun and funny, and very knowledgeable about the area and the history - of the country in general and Edinburgh in particular. This was my first trip to Scotland, and I feel like I got a good experience to build on. In fact I'm planning my next trip and the first thing I did was seek out Timberbush. I can't say enough good about this company and look forward to my next (and longer) trip.

Amazing day trip with astonishing views!
Jan 2020
Amazing trip guided by Rye! Rye was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable, fun, really good at story telling and very funny! He managed to fill the gaps between the stops with interesting stories, historical facts and jokes! He also played some really nice Scottish music during the tour. Hope you get the opportunity to get a tour with him!!! The tour had many stops, most of them are short ones for photo shooting. Our trip was made up by stops for castles, astonishing snowy views (depends on the month you travel), a kirk - small church and a stop to see Highland cattles (they are really cute!). As I said I really enjoyed the tour. It was the best day during my 4 day visit in Edinburgh and I am 100% recommending it! Cheers!

Wonderful day in the Highlands!
Dec 2019
My daughters and I went on this tour in December 2019 and had Stuart as our guide and driver. Stuart was such a colourful and interesting guide, in his tartan trousers, and kept us thoroughly entertained throughout the tour. His knowledge extended beyond the Scottish Highlands and he peppered his commentaries with appropriate music that made it a different experience. Hats off to his special ability to "summon" the Highland Coos! He heralded and they actually came running across the field. That was the highlight of the tour for us! Pity the weather was a little wet towards the end and the sunset was early. All in all it was an enjoyable tour out to the Highlands.
